Chicken and waffle with red potatoes

Breakfast was outstanding. Chx and waffle did not disappoint! Perfectly dredged and fried dark meat thigh on top a light and airy Belgian waffle. Red potato side was seasoned perfectly.

Marble City in the lobby of the Hilton Knoxville

Marble City is the restaurant in the lobby of the Hilton Knoxville. After being turned away or presented with long waits at restaurants in Market Square, we landed back here and hand a decent meal. For my lovely wife, she had the fried green tomatoes and French onion soup. The tomatoes were reasonable though dry and the soup was excellent with a well soaked slice of bread in there with a nice gruyere topping. My chicken wings were good. Not wet, flavorful and reasonably meaty. The Cobb salad (plus a chicken breast) as my main was odd with large chunks of romaine lettuce including some core. The smoked bacon had a very strong flavor and I'm not sure why there was corn or pickled onions. I think it ended up as a "kitchen sink" sort of salad that was okay but far from a Cobb. Service was friendly and attentive. With just three starters and one main course, this ended up being the most expensive meal of our weekend in Knoxville but it was nice to earn Hilton points for it. Buffet with made to order omelette

We had some dinner and breakfast here since we were staying in the hotel and it was super convenient. The first night we sat at the bar for a cocktail and also ordered the steak. Everything tasted great and service was good. Then we had breakfast the next morning and the service was even better. I'm not sure her name, but the woman who helped us was great. We had the buffet which included everything you need for a hearty breakfast. We did opt for a made to order omelette and it included the freshest of ingredients. I would definitely recommend dining here if you're staying at the Hilton. The convenience is just an added bonus.

I ate here because I was staying at the hotel and was too exhausted to venture out for dinner. I rather wish I'd gone out. There was almost no one in the restaurant at about 6 on a Friday night. An older woman who seemed to be a manager or hostess leaned on the bar and seemed to just be there to stare at people the whole time. She made me feel self conscious sitting there by myself. She came over at one point and asked me how everything was, which is why I think she might have been the manager. I ordered a Manhattan that was quite good, from the bar. I also ordered their take on a Southern Cobb salad, with watermelon radishes, pickled onion, beets, corn and egg. I left off the bacon and got crab cakes added. The portions were generous. The crab cakes (2) were big, but alas, they had little flavor at all and were slightly fishy. The salad was just okay. The onions were good, but the corn was pointless and forgettable. My waitress was nice and friendly and initially attentive, but I had to wait quite a while to pay my bill, since I didn't want to put it on the room. That's never a good thing. My bill ended up close to $40 and it just wasn't that good. Sorry, Marble City Kitchen. Probably not coming back.

We didn't want to venture out of the hotel for our breakfast so we decided to give the hotel restaurant a try. I'm so glad we did. The food was great and our service was even better! I so wish I could remember the wonderful lady behind the bar that seated us and took care of us. She was the best. She took such great care of us that I can't wait to come back to this hotel just to eat here and see her again! The important part is the food though right? We were here for breakfast so we both ordered the breakfast buffet instead of the off the menu. There were so many tasty items to choose from on the buffet and everything I tried was wonderful! The only downside was there was a new toaster that you put the bread of your choice in and it rolled through on a moving surface inside a toaster oven. The problem was it kept burning the bread but no worries because the wonderful lady that was taking care of us tried a few more times and got my bread perfect for me. It was a brand new toaster after all.

For a hotel restaurant, this place was surprisingly good. I'd eat there again. Service was also very friendly.

It wasn't crowded inside, there are a lot of seating options for big or small groups. Several tables could seat at least 6. Michael was bartending when we went. He did a great job at making us feel like locals! He was attentive even though it was quite busy from people coming in from the parade. The arcade area was pretty cool. Each side had a bar, but only one was open at the time we went. We didn't get food, but it looked like they had some yummy options from what we saw get delivered to other tables. The music was good. The people were friendly as well. This is definitely a place we would return to if we come back in town!

I saw the ramen on the Yelp pictures and it spoke to me, so I walked in and ordered some. You have to stand in line at the bar to order your food so that took awhile, but the food came out pretty quick. I wasn't too impressed with the ramen, and I've had ramen all over the world. The broth was good, I enjoyed the spicy flavor. However, having tomatoes in the ramen was weird and I didn't enjoy that. My biggest complaint is there was very little meat in the ramen, like 2 small chunks of brisket. It seems like a great place to have drinks and hang out, but as far as the food it was meh to me.

Large list of on tap beers, really friendly service. Didn't try any, but the ramen looks amazing. We will definitely return.

The burger was cooked a perfect medium, and the wedge was fresh, crisp, and exactly what we were looking for. Even though we arrived late, the service was excellent and never felt rushed. The bar is especially impressive, with towering shelves stocked with an enormous bourbon selection, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. After last night I'm not sure if we will ever return. We were seated outside at a table that was right in front of the in and out doors. We waited almost 15 minutes before someone came to wait on this. Honestly this would have been longer if my husband hadn't gone in to ask about a server for our table. Mind you, there were plenty of servers walking to help the other tables around us as we were waiting. Finally a server walked up, her name started with an A, and she was very flippant with helping us. I ordered a beer and my husband ordered water and son ordered a soda. We also went on and ordered since we had no idea when she would return for our order. She brought the water and soda but no beer and then we didn't see her (at our table) until our food came out. My beer came out with the food, a good 10 minutes after I ordered it. I know you may be thinking that the bar was backed up but her other table (that arrived after) got their drinks right away and also a 2nd order of drinks before I received my beer. She never came to check on us with our food and spent more time at the table that arrived with her friends. Her attitude and personality was vastly different with our table versus her friend's table. When it came time to get us our check. I saw her roll her eyes and walked towards us. I let it slide instead of calling her out on her actions as I just wanted to leave. We paid our check and left. I truly feel like this will be our last time here because of the service we received. We have many friends who travel to Knoxville for various sporting events (since I'm in that industry) and I always recommend Stock and Barrel. After last night, I'll be recommending some other place.
