Where do I even start? Marbled & Fin delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences we've had in Charleston. So much so that we came back for brunch the very next morning before hitting the road back to Atlanta. Dinner started with the dressed oysters and I'm still thinking about them. Grape and caviar on an oyster? Absolute genius. Light, briny, luxurious - they set the tone perfectly. The milk bread that followed was pillowy and buttery, the kind you have to resist devouring before your entrée arrives. For mains, I had the salmon and my partner had the grouper. Both were phenomenal. The salmon was perfectly seared with a gorgeous crust and sat in a dreamy herb cream sauce dotted with roe. The grouper was equally impressive, plated with confidence and cooked beautifully. The creamed spinach on the side was rich and satisfying without being heavy. The Eat, Slay, Love cocktail was a spiced (not spicy!) surprise: warm, complex, and completely unique. Brunch the next day? Just as impressive. We doubled down on the dressed oysters because there was no way we were leaving without them again. He had the shaved ham Benedict and I had the fish sandwich. Both were excellent. This place is firing on all cylinders, morning and night. Already planning the next Charleston trip around a return visit.

Our favorite dinner on a recent week long trip to Charleston SC! The restaurant is beautiful, the servers were warm and welcoming and food was delicious!

Oh. My. Goodness. Marbled and Fin has secured a spot as one of my top CHS restaurants! A friend and I decided to treat ourselves to a girls dinner since she's out of state. Reservations were at 515 and we arrived about a half hour early. The hostess was an absolute doll. So sweet, personable, and helpful. She let us know they would seat us closer to our designated time but to help ourselves to a seat at the bar. Started with delicious cocktails with fun innuendos. Very strong. Lovely. The hostess came back later and escorted us to our seats - and the fun dinner service began. You receive a complimentary welcome cocktail table side - tonight was a peach gimlet. No notes! We decided to try a little of everything (thank you to our amazing waiter- he let us know serving sizes and suggesting splitting some appetizers). We had the scallops, Caesar and milk bread. I don't think there was a single morsel left on those plates. For dinner we had the wet aged ribeye with the bone marrow & salmon. Sides: steak fries, lobster Mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and asparagus. The steak fries were such a stand out. Wow. never would have thought but incredible! Dessert had to be the affogato & crème brulee. Everything was Devine. The restaurant is bright and airy and incredibly beautiful. We sat at the bar booths and there was a little blonde girl who was so on top of refilling our water that it became comical. She was such a doll! Cannot say enough about her Incredible restaurant- impeccable service. Needs to be on any CHS list!

I walked in without a reservation and was seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and had great recommendations. The food was delivered quickly, and was so good ! The truffled Macaroni and cheese was probably the highlight of the night. The dim lights and quiet music made for a suave and sophisticated dinner.

What an incredible restaurant! After living in Charleston for over two years, I can't believe this was my first time. I highly recommend this for birthdays, anniversaries, friends, or family in town, etc. We split the wedge salad, and I am thankful we did because it is MASSIVE. I can be picky with my wedge salads, and this was by far one of the best I've ever had. We saw the table next to us enjoying the Broiled Oysters & Bone Marrow, and I'm so glad that we ordered it. It was so unique in flavor and delicious. For our main entree, we both ordered the NY Strip, and our server was excellent in ensuring our steaks were cooked to our taste. Overall, it was a delightful evening with excellent service, food, and lighting.

*Brunch Review* Mimosa Tower. That is all. But seriously - if you're looking for a delicious brunch in the downtown area look no further than Marbled & Fin. Friends and I stopped in recently to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we walked through the door, the entire experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service superb, and the mimosa cocktail tower (which was the entire reason I wanted to dine here) was everything I wanted it to be for our table. As an added plus, they do have a small free parking lot adjacent to the restaurant but just make sure you dont park in one of the designated spots for the hotel it shares the parking lot with. In addition to the tower, a few of the standout brunch items we enjoyed were the: - tuna tartare - steak and eggs - french toast - truffle mac & cheese - creme brulee The tartare and mac & cheese were definitely table favorites that had us all fighting over the last few bites. If you're looking for an impeccable meal, add Marbled & Fin to your list in Charleston. I'll definitely be back to enjoy dinner service in the near future.

Marbled & Fin brunch was great - food, service and atmosphere! Broiled oysters and bone marrow- what a flavorful dish- a must try! The espresso martini was definitely in my top 3. And the service was exceptional, thanks to Rebecca!

If you're looking for a Charleston restaurant for special occasions this is it. Total bill for two was $600 including tip. But we ordered a decent amount. Got all three lux bites which were delicious and tiny. The bone marrow and roasted oysters were a show stopper. GENEROUS amount of hot bone marrow and you get a basket of charred bread to make open faced oyster bone marrow toast. Insane. Beef carpaccio was very nice. Good size. We had the Australian Wagyu filet mignon rare which was super tender. And the Australian Wagyu rib eye rare which was delicious though had a decent amount of inedible fat. But that's a ribeye for ya. No room for dessert but they did give us chocolates. Also gave us free champagne for my birthday which I do beleive was champagne and not prosecco. Great spot but be ready to spend it all.

Always a great meal with excellent service. One of my favorite places in Charleston. The milk bread is a favorite and all the cocktails are so good and unique.

Just us, celebrating our anniversary. These seats are the best for two.

Marbled & Fin is excellent! It's that simple. If you're looking for a fantastic dinner to celebrate an occasion, then this is it. We stopped by one evening for cocktails before dinner elsewhere and were very impressed with the bar, the vibe and the service. We later returned for that special occasion dinner to celebrate our anniversary and the service was fantastic, on point, and special. We sat at the circular seats by the bar, were greeted with a special welcome note and house cocktail which was great. Their cocktail menu has something for everyone, but I had to order my favorite cocktail, the Last Word. Their dinner menu is stunning with luxury bites, raw bar items, starters & salads, sides, and then their fine selection of red meats and seafood entrees. We had starters of hamachi crudo, broiled oysters & bone marrow, and caesar salad. The hamichi was fresh and amazing, while the oysters & bone marrow had a richness that was impressive. I had a NY strip, while my husband had a filet. We also enjoyed sides of roasted mushrooms and roasted carrots. Everything was paced perfectly, allowing us time to enjoy the moment of each course. Then the service was superb from beginning to end. Marbled & Fin made us feel special, and the dinner was amazing, and one to remember.

    Oysters on the half shell
    Jessica C.

Came for a Valentine's Day brunch and received amazing and attentive service from Allison! Tressa also helped us, the staff work very well together to provide a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is calm with plenty windows for natural sunlight. Oysters were 10/10, I need to go back for more. Prime steak was juicy and flavorful, recommended at medium temperature due to the lean cut of meat. I'm a ribeye type of girl, but I was very satisfied with the prime steak. They offer a table side roasted garlic butter and the steak comes with an Au poivre that was super tasty. Eggs were perfectly cooked the way I requested. Hash brown is a patty, similar to the golden arch restaurant (haha), but less greasy and tastes like real potatoes. Oysters on the half shell were 10/10! They were from NC, I have to go back for these. Espresso martini is served in an unusually tall martini glass and tastes very delicious.

    Emma P.

Absolutely loved everything we ordered. The bone marrow and baked oysters were the star of the show followed by the Australian Wagu. Also enjoyed the hamachi crudo. We got the dressed oysters but unless you like sweet oysters I would still with the regular. As always the wine list pairs perfectly with everything always. We were here to celebrate a birthday and were greeted with a card which was a lovely touch. It was a little disappointing to see other tables celebrating get a candle brought out at the end of their meal and not our table but it certainly doesn't make us love the food any less.

The first floor was composed mainly of booths; the second level (where we ate) had table seating; and the third floor had tables as well. Like any great steakhouse, there was a lot of wood, but thanks to the rugs and curtains, the restaurant never became loud. The food was absolutely superb! The steak was perfectly cooked, and my tile fish could not have been flakier or tastier. The sides were spectacular. The crab cake had coleslaw as a topping. I had never seen that combination before. It sounds strange, but it really worked! The oysters, just try them, and you will have them again. Great food without great service leaves an experience unfulfilled. The service at Oak was exceptional! It was my wife's birthday, and I noted that on the online reservation. She was greeted at check-in with a happy birthday wish, the menu had "happy birthday" printed on it, and the dessert she ordered was brought to our table, as shown in the photo. The restaurant itself is lovely in a historic setting with 3 floors and a lot of classic, traditional touches. First things first, the service was wonderful. We had a reservation and were immediately sat by the hostess and greeted by our server. He gave us recommendations and told us half orders of the sides were available since it was only my husband and I. We had a glass of rose and a glass of red, nothing special but what you expect and at a place like this you expect to pay $15/glass. We ordered the New York strip, half orders of Brussels and mushrooms and the steak frites with truffle fries and bernaise sauce. The steaks were cooked very well which was great (it is a steakhouse), but honestly just tasted like pepper. The bernaise sauce was watery, cold and flavorless. The Brussels had some flavor, but nothing to knock your socks off and pretty much the same with the mushrooms. Honestly, the star of the show were the truffle fries. Crispy, lots of flavor and hot. You obviously have higher expectations when coming into an establishment such as Oak and sadly it let me down. There's other fabulous restaurants in Charleston and honestly other steakhouses I'd recommend. I'm glad we tried it, but I won't be rushing back.

Our bartender was incredibly sweet and helpful when it came to choosing what to order and made us feel welcome from the start. There was also live music that night, which my husband was especially excited about since they were playing 80s covers. The menu focuses on Lowcountry cuisine, and everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the clams and then shared the pork chop and BBQ tuna. Every dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The cocktails were smooth, well made, and paired perfectly with the meal. To make the evening even more special, our bartender brought us two glasses of bubbles to celebrate my birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture. This time around I was dining with friends, which meant we got to order a whole bunch of dishes - a foodie's dream. We started with the Hunter Cattle Beef Tartare, topped with shoestring potatoes, smoked cheddar, and egg yolk jam. It was rich, flavorful, and while the presentation looked a bit like dog food, it was otherwise the perfect way to kick off the meal. For the table, we also shared the Roasted Carrots, served with chamomile honey, labneh, puffed rice, candied peanuts, and an olive crumble. I know, carrots aren't always a "must-order," but trust me - they were fantastic. We also couldn't pass up the Hearth-Baked Skillet Cornbread with Broadbent bacon crumble mixed throughout. Southern comfort food!!! For my entree, I ordered the Blueberry & Corn Salad, which was anything but an ordinary salad. Between the BBQ pecans, ricotta salata, bacon fat honey mustard, and fresh seasonal ingredients, every bite was packed with flavor. One friend ordered the Yellowfin Tuna Crudo with compressed cantaloupe, marigold, and leche de tigre. It was bright, refreshing, and beautifully plated. Our other friend opted for the South Carolina Golden Tilefish, served with Kindlewood Farms summer squash and serrano, and it, too, was a hit. For drinks, one friend enjoyed a glass of wine while I ordered the Dragoon Punch. I'll admit, I was a little disappointed to learn my beloved Primrose Path was no longer on the menu. I even asked if they could make one, but unfortunately they were missing one of the ingredients. No worries, the Dragoon Punch was delicious and a worthy replacement. Galpão Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse - Food Review 4.6 / 5…read moreStars If you're looking for an authentic Brazilian steakhouse experience in Charleston, Galpão Gaucho delivers a premium, meat-forward dining experience that leans heavily into quality, variety, and attentive service. The Experience From the moment you sit down, the pace is noticeable--in a good way. Service is fast and efficient, with gauchos consistently rotating through the dining room offering a wide selection of fire-roasted meats. The rhythm of service keeps your plate full without feeling rushed, which is exactly what you want in a traditional Brazilian steakhouse setting. Food Quality & Selection The highlight here is undeniably the extensive variety of meats. From classic cuts like picanha to a range of seasoned beef, chicken, and pork options, there's no shortage of choices. Each cut is carved tableside and served fresh off the skewer, giving you that authentic churrascaria feel. The salad and vegetable bar is impressively large, offering everything from fresh greens and roasted vegetables to cheeses and cold cuts. It's not just filler--it's actually well-stocked and thoughtfully prepared, making it easy to balance out the heavier meat options (if you have the discipline). What Stands Out Fast, continuous service - you're never waiting long for the next cut Wide variety of meats - something for every preference Large, well-rounded salad bar - more than just an afterthought Attentive staff - consistent with what you'd expect from a high-end Brazilian steakhouse Where It Falls Short Salt level can be a bit heavy on some meats, which may not suit everyone Price point (~$85 per person) puts it firmly in the premium dining category Parking is limited, though nearby parking decks make it manageable with a short walk Final Verdict Galpão Gaucho is a solid choice for a high-end dining experience in Charleston, especially if you're going in hungry and want to indulge. While the seasoning can occasionally lean too salty and the price isn't light, the overall experience--driven by quality meats, variety, and strong service--makes it worth it for a special occasion or a serious night out. Best for: Date nights, celebrations, business dinners, or anyone wanting a true Brazilian steakhouse experience without compromise.
