I have been here numerous times The manager was incredibly rude tonight I had called the night before and was told he couldn't take a reservation!! When I got here the whole party wasn't here and he rudely told me to "stand there till they get here" I had older guests in the party so it was kind of mean . I asked for a table in the back and they told me they had a larger party going back there. I then inquired "I thought you don't take reservations " I used to love this place. Overall experience was pretty good. Our server was nice and tried his best even though they were very busy. The chips and salsa were average. Next we had a combo platter with a quesadilla, burrito, and chimichanga. It was nice that the dish came with some guacamole. All of it was good, nothing special. Margaritas were a little weak. Frequent diner but this was probably the last time. The inside is getting so dirty and the outside is absolutely disgusting. It was mom's birthday and no acknowledge what so ever and it was noted on the reservation and when I arrived. The food is good, not always consistent but it is good. The prices are good also but the menu is way too big. The mariachi band was obnoxiously loud, our table could not even hold a conversation. The singer was way too loud and not a great singer. We rushed talking when the band was not playing but once they started up we couldn't talk. We also noted several patrons rolling their eyes at the noise level. Needless to say we ate fast and couldn't wait to get out, but waited 25 minutes and the server never returned. I walked up to another server and asked for the check. I paid and we left, no one to even acknowledge a goodbye. So we have always gone here and always enjoyed it but the last couple times it's gone down hill. Suggestion....clean up the inside and either get rid of the disgusting outside so called patio or fix it so it doesn't look like a slum. Sorry but 1 star. read more

This place was both fun and delicious! A mariachi band serenaded guests, while enjoying outstanding Mexican fare! The margaritas were superb, as was the guacamole and our entrees! My husband had Tacos Mexicano, and I enjoyed the Mexican Faldita - skirt steak cooked to perfection, with rice, beans, queso and avacado. A great evening! read more

We came to pick up some delicious food and margaritas to-go after a long day of hunger. We ordered a $35 full pitcher of their specialty margarita (with patrón tequila and grand marnier) and quesadilla, totaling of $54. We were very excited for our order. When we arrived, of course, we always check our food in the restaurant to make sure our order is correct. We first opened the pitcher there, and we were very skeptical of how it was made - tons of ice. And by tons, I mean 80% ice. We asked the manager if he can kindly give us more liquor because its ALL ice. You know what his respond was? A sharp "NO", with the rudest demeanor. We told him that there is way too much ice to please take some out and add more liquor and asked who the bartender was and he rudely said "wELL IM THE MANAGER. AND I SAY WHATS GOOD AND NOT GOOD. You choose to get food from here and this what you get!..." and continued to yell at us and shoo us out the door. Excuse me? Is that how a restaurant treats their customers, with such condescending manner and disrespect? How inappropriate and unprofessional he was. I was honestly baffled at how we were treated. That man needs to learn kindness. We went home to investigate the amount of ice, and these photos are just astounding. 3 cups of ice. Less than half filled pitcher. Unreal. I came here on National Tequila Day because where else give you free complimentary Patron shots? It's one of favorite spots because they seasoned their food properly to my liking. I love their fish tacos but I wish the soft tacos didn't fall apart so easily. The staff here are nice and friendly. The only downfall was the fact we were told all margaritas were half price but after we got our bill and ask our waitress again, she then said it only applies to the classic margaritas. There is no shortage of Mexican food in my area but this place holds it's own. I've been here many times and I'm always very satisfied. They have a $3 margarita deal on tuesdays which always seems to draw a decent crowd. My boyfriend loves the salsa they put out with chips. Food always comes out very quickly which I always appreciate. I get fajitas everywhere I go and while these aren't the BEST I've ever had they are delicious. My father-in-law is very picky and he loves the steak fajitas. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who asks. read more

Meh. Solid 6/10. Mexican food is one of my favorite kinds of food and I love to try new places so my friends and I came here last night for Taco Tuesday. Staff was really nice and the restaurant seemed clean. When I sat I asked if they had any specials for Taco Tuesday because I didn't see a specials menu so the woman I asked didn't know and said she would be right back but she never came back LOL. When the server came over and asked me if I wanted anything to drink I asked if there was a happy hour or anything along the lines and he told me he would check and be back....never came back lmao. Okay. I ordered a house margarita and found out that they were $3!! Heck yeah! They had a slew of drinks on the menu and everything looked good but all I could imagine is them pumping cheap sugar syrup into each drink just to change the flavor. I'd rather have real mixed drink without a sugar hangover. The food was okay. I ordered the shrimp enchilada because I couldn't find anything out about Taco Tuesday. After my wife saw the News 12 plug for this place she said we should try it. Got there early on a Friday evening in hopes to have a quiet relaxing dinner thinking "cafe" might afford us that luxury. Unfortunately for us the place was just about full with no room at the bar. We were quickly seated in the dining room which could afford to lose a table table or 2 simply for some elbow room. The overhead music was way too loud and once the Mariachi band started up it was the end for us. We quickly ate our mediocre meal and overpriced drinks and hit the road. Looked very unassuming on the outside in its strip mall location but I was quite impressed walking in; it was very well decorated and fun looking on the inside with various statues and paintings . The staff was friendly and responsive , no complaints there. The drinks were delicious and well priced (highly recommended Pina colada) . Upon arrival waited over 25 minutes for a cocktail. The waitress said they ran out of glasses & were waiting for clean ones. Once the drink arrived it taste like some sort of detergent. Waitress apologized and took it back. Brought back another was even worse. The third was bearable. We sat an watched while everyone else was served around us. Our entrees arrived in different shifts. The beef tamales were dried out as well as the appetizer of jalapeno poppers. What should have been an hour dinner took two an a half hours. Yelp has favorable reviews and mine just adds onto that. First off, the amount of food you get for the price is a great bargain. We started off with table-side made Guacamole for only $9. That is more than enough for 4 ppl. Also got half pitcher of mango margarita which is about 3 glasses full. Very good deal for $16. For my entree, I got the margarita skillet which includes shell steak, pork, chicken etc. It also comes with a side of yellow rice, salad and wrap. Way too much for one person and only costed around $23. Great steal and the flavor is top notch. Nothing was dry at all. My wife got the enchilada with steak while my son got the kids menu of chicken and rice with beans and small salad. His plate was licked clean alright. The tostones was freshly made and didn't taste like a rock one bit. On Sat night, a mariachi band goes around tables and play a dedicated song. Very great performance. Disappointed in the service. Our server had an attitude the entire time. After the food was dropped off the server didn't come back until all the food was gone. The managers was more attentive than the server and ended up doing her job. He came over and took away the plates that we asked to be taken away; he asked how everything was; and he was the one I went to since it was my step father's birthday. It was also the worst queso of my life. I asked for the appetizer of queso and the server brought over melted cheese. The server assumed that when I said I wanted the appetizer of queso that I wanted "melted cheese." Yet, in the menu queso isn't melted cheese there is literally a side called "melted cheese." The server refused the fix this mistake. Also, the melted cheese tasted like velveeta. read more

This place was great! My friends and I stopped here for dinner and drinks one night. The food and drinks were amazing! We also got table side guac which I definitely recommend! The chips were also nice and warm. The server for the guacamole was very nice and accommodating and gave me extra jalapeños for the guac since my friends don't like spicy food. The waitress was very nice and checked in on us to make sure everything was okay and got us refills for our drinks. They also have a band that walks around the restaurant and plays songs for each table! Everyone who worked there were wearing masks and being safe which I really appreciated! We went there for our anniversary and brought our three teenage boys with us. Food was fantastic and drinks were strong- Very strong. My wife and I had two drinks each and we were smashed. My son drove us home. I had the chicken tamale which was so tasty. Deserts were amazing too. We paid $153 for the 5 of us . Best part too was we go serenaded by an awesome mariachi band. Great night I highly recommend. We will go back. One recommendation to the restaurant - take reservations. Let me just say i absolutely love margaritas cafe. During these difficult times, they still provided us with five star worthy service. Went there for the first time in a while and saw some new faces that i didn't recognize and they were wonderful. I need to compliment you guys on your staff they are so attentive and so friendly, and they actually make conversation instead of taking our orders and disappearing. Chips and salsa are so good there I'm literally obsessed with their salsa. Everything their is good, i've gotten their empanadas, tacos, and fajitas before and all were good. The chicken fajitas were not dry like they can be sometimes and the tacos are so flavorful. I've never stayed for dessert here, but now i'm eager to try it to see if it's as good as everything else is. read more
