I wanted to start off by saying I don't normally do reviews. But I felt like I had to in this case. I've lived in Green Bay Area for 5 years now and this was my first time going to Margaritas, so I was going in with excitement since this place is always busy. We decided to go there at 1:45 on a Saturday, thinking maybe we'll beat any sort of rush. We still ended up waiting for 20 minutes. Not upset about that, especially knowing how popular it is. We then get seated at a table, that any time you would touch it, the table would move several inches. We have a 3 year who kept bumping it while sitting, and we had to keep readjusting the table. The margaritas were delicious, we had the Orange dreamsicle ones. The biggest problem was the wait time for food. I understand it was busy, but for 2 pm on a Saturday, we literally waited an hr 10 minutes if not slightly longer. I don't necessarily want to blame our waitress, as she was definitely non stop moving cause she was busy. But she and maybe the other servers may have had too many tables. She apologized to us several times about the wait and that our food was coming up. As for the food. We have had a lot of different Mexican food. The food today was average to slightly above average. It wasn't bad, but definitely had better Mexican food. I do mean American Mexican style, as this is what this was. Our biggest concern was the extreme wait time on the food. Chicken Argentine is my favorite dish to order. I like to order it with refried beans,vegetables instead of rice and pico de gallo. The chips and salsa that are brought out before the meal are delicious! The grilled chicken and cheese sauce in this " Chicken Argentine" meal have kept me coming back to Margarita's on Oneida Street in Green Bay since it first opened. I remember the anticipation of waiting for the restaurant to open it's doors for the first time. They serve good guacamole. I like hearing the radio and seeing their tv commercials because it's a good reminder to stop in at eat whenever I am in Green Bay. The atmosphere is festive and I really like when I hear Marc Anthony, Shakira, Jerry Rivera and La India singing in Spanish in the restaurant on what I think is XM radio. I sometimes dance and mouth the words to the songs I know while I sit and wait for my food. I feel the portions are really good and the price is reasonable. The food is good and nice decor. Unfortunately the menu should have more authentic Mexican Food, I got so surprised when I didn't see Carne Asada in the menu. I've been in so many mexican restaurants and this is the first one without that dish. Any latino knows that is a traditional dish. I noticed the menu is more focus in American food, like...Ribeye??? New York steak??? just to mention some items. Also, it would be nice that the music would be Mexican music like a real Mexican place. It shouldn't be playing...Reguetton... I was so annoyed with the music, is not the proper music for a family restaurant. Excellent dinner. I had the Portobello cap mushroom fajitas. My wife had the margarita burrito special. Had a minor problem with our very new waitress who gave my dinner to the table next to me. When the mistake was discovered, the manager and the waitress apologized profusely. The manager also deducted my side of guacamole ($5) from the bill to correct my inconvenience. After I got my correct dinner, both the waitress and the manager stopped by our table at least three different times asking if we needed anything. For years this has been my go to place for good food and great drinks. Service in the past has been pretty good until this last year. The service has gone from good to almost nonexistent. Waiting for refills on water and beer or chips and salsa never happens. Getting the wrong food or not getting all of my families meal we ordered and waiting for someone to return to ask were it was takes too long. Just like waiting for someone to get the my card from me to pay the bill. 25 minutes later I finally got saw someone. It just happened to be the person to ask my friend and I to move on after we ate and drank. We meet up to chat and while we order several drinks and food. Found this place online. Was busy when we arrived at 5:30pm We sat at the bar. I ordered a local IPA. Was good. The chip and salsa are by far the best I have had at a restaurant in years! Thin crispy chips and delicious salsa, without chunks. I had the Margarita's Burrito Special. It is a large burrito filled with ground beef and pork, served with rice and beans. It too was excellent. I've been to Margaritas plenty of times but this past labor day I had a wonderful experience! They were jam packed, but we still got a table ASAP. We had great food, I personally would have been okay with just having the homemade chips and house salsa for dinner but I decided on the margaritas enchiladas with brown sauce, SO good. Taking advantage of all day happy hour on Mondays, I had the autumn spiced pear margarita that did not disappoint, absolutely amazing flavor. To top it off, we had fantastic service! First time we tried this place. We were coming up for a concert - the day before the Packers playoff game. I knew it was going to be a cluster down there. I called and talked to Sid (several times). The call ahead program is great, but instead he talked us into getting there earlier and we would likely have no problem eating and then getting to our concert on time. He was right. This is an annual post-game food stop during my pilgrimage to Lambeau Field. The bar has a good variety and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend this place. Service was terrible we were there for over two and half hours. Once our food finally came out they completely missed an entire meal, and didn't notice it till we had to ask for it. Also ordered margaritas when the food came out and did not receive them until well after we were done eating. When they did come out there were peppers in our cherry margaritas.... the waitress told us that is because they didn't rinse out the blender good enough.... It was big chunks! And in top of all that they did not take any accountability for it and expected us to pay full price for the missed meals and mistakes they made. Definitely will not be coming back read more

A bunch of us came here after work for a girls night out after along work week, we had called ahead for a table for 12, but when we arrived they did not have a table ready but in the works so our wait was minable for a Friday night. We were seated and our server "Cain" came to talk with us and get our drink order, we all ordered and as he left more of us arrived! Cain did great with all the new girls that came and gave out drinks that we orderd. Then we had placed our food order and it came out in very good timing especially for a fri, and they were busy! My burrito was great, I got the burrito Del Mar, it was a seafood burrito with beans and sautéed veggies! It was great! I took a lot home for later one of my friends waited awhile for her order but when Cain realized it he rushes back to see what happend and brought it out soon after! Thanks Cain!!
