First time here, and I agree with my predecessors reviews. The food is good but not outstanding. I will say that what this place lacks in the food area, it makes up in character. The ambiance is a large basically diner, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally, there is a playground for the kids. It looks fun and the chips that are served will be a treat for them as well. Also they have ice cream, what more could a kid ask for? The service is very good. My server Cassie took good care of me and I was eating within 10 minutes of my arrival. They were quick and the tables were clean. The parking lot is quite large too. Getting in or out can be a little tricky but not too bad, depending on the direction you are coming or going. Still overall, the cost was minimal and food was plenty. Service-great Decor-great. No loud festival type colors. Grey tables, grey flooring and grey walls in a tasteful way Food for me-just didn't quite hit the spot but the portions are plentiful. The free chips and salsa were the best part for me. They were warm and had just the right amount of salt on them. The chicken burrito is large. It had an odd minty taste to it. Not horrible, just different. The refried beans are good. The rice is a little watery tasting but edible. The cheese enchiladas had plenty of cheese, both yellow and queso cheese. Fresh tasting but for some reason, it just didn't quite do it for me. All the food was served hot and fast so that's good. Went there as a group of six. Good was okay, nothing to write home about. Was warned about the up charge for additional chips and salsa. There are six of us and they brought out two baskets of chips and two cups of salsa! Placed our order and I asked if the guacamole came with additional chips. This was confirmed and the chips never arrived. Food is a three out of five. Not worth all the hype. Service was quick and our server kept our drinks filled. Received the bill and they do add a 20% gratuity to the check. So buyer beware! I can't say I recommend this place as the food is typical and nothing special. So, my friends invited me over and I just went with the flow and joined them. By the time I went in, my friends were already ordering drinks. I took my time to review the menu to order my food and drinks, but I could not figure it out, so I asked my server by name Sandy where she patiently explained about the vegetarian options and the ingredients in the dishes. After a while she came back to see if I was ready and based on her recommendation, I ordered Liberty Hill Lemonade as my drink and Spinach Enchiladas as my main course. Until the food was served, we were given, just like any other traditional Mexican restaurant, we were given Tortilla chips and marinara sauce for dipping. There was an interesting dish which my friends had been bragging about called a "Green Sauce" which was another dipping sauce for Tortilla chips. My friend advised me to just dip a little, but I thought I could manage any spice level, so I took more than I am supposed to, and I felt like California wildfires in my mouth. The sauce looked green, but it turned red. I have never had this spicy level lately, but it gave all my senses back. I enjoyed my Liberty Hill Lemonade (tequila drink) with the chips and sauces until my main course. After 15 minutes, our food was served where I was given deliciously looking hot Spinach Enchiladas. There were two soft corn tortillas stuffed with sauteed spinach, mushrooms, and onions topped with a cream sauce and Monterey jack cheese. On the side, I was given white rice and borracho beans. I asked for Spanish rice instead of white rice which they gave in a bowl. The Spinach Enchiladas tasted good and the cream that came with it was flavorful. I enjoyed every bite of it. The spinach rice was good and borracho beans were new to me. The food (cheese, tomatoes, avocado) that was served was fresh. Overall, the experience was enjoyable. I did not focus much on the ambience as I was engrossed in my food lol. Thanks to our server Sandy for all the patience and checking on us if we needed anything. The menu was printed on paper, and it would have been nice if they had signs to mark for vegan or vegetarian. The prices were reasonable, and the quantity of food was so much that we could not finish the whole thing. They have the finest homemade recipes that are made fresh every day. I will go back again to try out their other dishes. I would suggest this restaurant for people of all ages. read more

Nasty food & no service. Feel bad for the locals that think the food is "great". We had flautas & carne guisada tacos, absolutely no flavor. Nobody asked if wanted more coffee or iced tea. Skip this place and find a Taco Bell for better food. read more

Very underwhelming. My husband and I went in and had a mediocre experience. I had the carne guisada tacos and the meat left much to be desired, half the taco was fat trimmings in seasoning. I couldn't get through my first taco let alone a second. My husband was enjoying his burrito until he found a hair halfway through the burrito. The food was terrible, definitely tasted microwaved. The chili con carne came out looking like jello and was translucent and the jalapeño sauce looked like gravy and also had a jello consistency. The ambiance was weird with the IKEA lights. For a family establishment, the waiters were throwing around a lot of cuss words. The only saving grace was the cheap drinks which if drank enough of would help the food go down easier. Don't think we will be back. read more

If you are looking forward to great Mexican food and good service keep driving. Don't let the inviting location full you. The service is non-existent other than taking your order and bringing your bill. Someone else brings your food and you don't see anyone again until bill time. The child's plate had a hair in it...nothing disturbs a family member more than to have a hair in your child's food. The Terry's Avocado with fajita meat was bland...no seasoning...and serving Mexican food with plain white cold rice is not inviting. At least offer up Mexican rice. Keep driving and you will find great Mexican food in Burnet or Georgetown. A few more miles can make a difference. read more

Alright here's reality...this place has mediocre Mexican food, but it's doable. The reason why I'm giving it 5 stars though is because the service is incredible and so are the drink prices! So I will continue to support this business and we are thankful to have something so close by. read more

Horrible experience all around. We had a new waiter that was unfamiliar with the business and menu. Did not check on our table to see if the food was OK or to give us refills. The owner had to keep coming over and we had to tell them again what we ordered even after we had our food so they would know what to charge us for. Our credit card got charged twice and when we confronted the owner the next day, he originally told us we needed receipts for proof, then by the time my husband drove back up there, he told us that they reversed out the charge last nite. We were never told that there was a mistake made and when he was asked why he never told us, he said he is human and he forgot. He ended the conversation by yelling at me. We will not return to this restaurant. Sad to see small town restaurants running a business like this. read more
