I wasn't planning on writing a review at all but I just had to because of the experience! I usually go to a different Acura location for an oil change and had an always bad experience with wait times, etc. I called this location on a Friday and was immediately scheduled for a 10am appointment the following day (I think Saturday appointments became available up until recently). I got there at my scheduled time and got out 30 minutes later. That's the fastest service I've ever received my entire time as an Acura customer. The only downside is that they don't do car washes on Saturdays but its not a problem compared to waiting for hours. Definitely coming back to this location! read more

I actually can't believe I am giving 5 stars to any dealer but Marin Acura was the easiest experience of buying a car we've ever had. From sales to finance and in between, we had great service and a very quick turn around between looking online to keys in hand. We would have liked a cleaner truck if they would have wiped the interior down a bit, but overall a good experience and the price seemed pretty fair. We recently bought our second MDX from Edmond at Marin Acura, and really wanted to write a review on here. Edmond is by far the best car sales person we have worked with. He's very responsive, respectful, and makes us feel absolutely no pressure on the whole process. Working with Edmond really feels like you have a friend in the dealership, and you can feel that he's there to address your needs, and not so much on making the sale. We had a great time talking with Greg at Acura of Marin but the dealership finance and/or leadership are not interested in making any sales. I recommend you skip Acura of Marin and go directly to Acura of Concord were they are interested in making deals and sales. There was a $5000 difference on the exact same vehicle by going to the east bay. Having said that, the Audi of Concord was even more motivated to sell do I bought the Audi Q5 over the Acura TDX. Both fully loaded 2017 models and payments the same either way. Both great cars, but Acura of Marin did nothing to earn my business. Thank you Acura of Marin, I love my Audi Q5. I do not recommend Acura of Marin, if you want an Acura, go to Acura of Concord. read more

I don't recommend this dealership for 2 reasons. 1) They do not price match. Other larger Acura dealerships like Acura of Serramonte had much better pricing and were open to negotiate. 2) Poor customer service. I caught the Sales manager, Ben Roytman, in a couple of lies over the phone as a means to lure us in to the dealership for a bate and switch tactic. After an exhausting search for a particular color combination with other dealerships, Ben said he had the car we wanted in his "warehouse" and went as far as texting me a partial invoice to prove he had the car. This was not the case, after going back and forth, he confessed that the invoice was from another dealership and then proceeded to ask me why it mattered. I'm extremely surprised this dealership is still in business. This experience is really disappointing. read more

I wish if I can give 0 stars to this dealership. I saw one car on Acura official website and then had a chat with Marin Acura representative and she agreed to price the one which I mentioned. I was able to save the chat before they cut me off as strangely when you chat with them they do not send you the chat details in email which shows there is always something fishy in this. Then I contacted marin acura and email exchanges with sales person by the name of Eddie. He then mentioned price of this RDX is 8 thousand more than that I confirmed with person over chat and when I referenced the chat he tried to make some non sense excuses out of chat that right price was mentioned in chat, I have to get a hold of person whom I chat with etc. etc. which is ridiculous. I think this is normal at this dealership to waste customers time and make them fool. read more

Shame on me for not reading the BBB complaints and reviews about Marin Acura before engaging them. Overall, a miserable and disappointing experience. I contacted to dealership to purchase an Acura MDX--we verbally agreed upon price and terms, the salesman collected all of my personal information and promised to send the sales contract for my signatures. Seven days went by without any contract or calls--I made numerous attempts via phone and text to get an update on the arrival of the contract. Feeling disappointed and SCAMMED, I made 3 attempts to contact the sales manager to discuss. We spoke and he offered a comparable option at the previously agreed upon price, which was an acceptable solution. Five days went by before, receiving a call from the finance manager to review price and term. The agreed upon price went up $1,000. Bottomline, BEWARE of Marin Acura's sales tactics. It feels like a scam to obtain personal information in an effort to commit identity fraud. I've noticed all credit agencies of this, in an effort to prevent such fraud. read more

Not so common...We purchased an MDX with assistance from Edmond over the weekend and I can say that I have NEVER had a more positive experience purchasing a vehicle. Edmond displayed endless amounts of patience and knowledge. There was not a question that he could not/did not answer. He didn't show it if it bothered him that I wanted to test drive so many vehicles, and he knew about each one. He didn't have to get back to me, he knew. He was both kind and professional. This was, to date, the worst Acura dealer I have been to and treated by. When I was looking for a new car, I emailed and called them for a quick quote and see how low their price could be because some dealers do offer an internet pricing which was reasonable even without negotiating. I forgot the name of the salesperson, but the email response and phone call response from him were like this, "If you want it that cheap and found somewhere else cheaper than us, why are you still contacting us in the first place? We really don't need your business here and you can take it elsewhere." I first see it as a reverse-psychology method, but after talking with their self-claimed Sales-Manager, I realised that it wasn't a trick, it was for real. Just say NO to Marin Acura! read more

I haven't actually had an experience worthy of writing a yelp review until now, but I feel that it would be irresponsible of me to not comment on my recent experience at Marin Acura. Last week, I received an e-mail from Marin Acura with a promotion for leftover 2009 TSX models up to $3,000 off, among other offers. I'm in the market for a new car and had heard great things about the TSX from a coworker, so I called ahead and checked whether any base models were in stock. There were several 2009 base models in stock according to the sales manager (Ben). I stopped by in person later that day with a couple friends and was offered a 2010 to test drive, "because they are essentially the same thing." Fine by me, but I reminded the salesman that I'm looking for a 2009 model because of the promotion. After the test drive, I was shown to a '2009' model in the show room and proceeded with the paper work. Long story short, typical bait and switch - quote came back for a 2010 model, no attempt to even sell me on the 2009 model, of which there all of a sudden was only one base model left (not from being sold, obviously, this place is a ghost town on a Saturday afternoon). Whatever - a couple hours wasted and a nice test ride, I'm ready to go enjoy my Saturday evening. I'll even give them the benefit of the doubt on the 2009/2010 mixup - possibly just a simple misunderstanding. Maybe the 2010 is an option, but I need to think it over. Here is where the story gets a little weird. Upon returning to my current car, which had been evaluated for trade in value by the dealership, I realize that the contents of my glove box are all over the floor. The sales manager had previously asked permission for his people to go into the glove box and take a copy of the registration. Again, whatever - clean it up and move on. Except to my surprise, the only thing of any value in the car, an ipod which was connected to a cable in the glove box, is missing. This is the same ipod I was listening to as I drove to the dealership - it's operated by the stereo, so it stays isolated in the glove box. No need to remove it unless it's to upload new music. It's also small (nano), and is not in the way if you are trying to take out the registration. I searched the entire car with a friend of mine that had come along, and no ipod. We went back inside and asked if it might been misplaced by accident. Everybody that had access to the car denied having seen any ipod. The sales manager, Ben, went back out to my car to take a look. He checked again with everyone who had access to the car. Nobody had even seen my ipod. Just a cable in the glove box when removing the registration, but I was assured that nobody had seen or touched my ipod at any time. Ben thought my suggestion to call the police was a great one. Thanks. Fortunately, after around ten minutes of 'discussion', one of the salesmen suggested that we take one more look in the car. Fine with me. Would you believe, he then proceeded to 'find' the ipod shortly after getting into the car? In response to me asking where it was, "tucked on top of the passenger sun visor, where YOU could have looked to find it!" Right. The ipod that nobody had seen or touched had magically unplugged and relocated itself to the top of the passenger sun visor, while the rest of the glove box contents were left on the floor. And it turned back up immediately when searched by the salesman. Because there is a plausible reason for all of this, and you can probably draw your own conclusion. Go here at your own risk, but I'd lock up your valuables. read more

Took in my Acura for normal service and was surprised by service offered to me. One star deducted for forgetting to reset my maintenance minder Location and Facilities: Location is easily accessible from the 101 and it is right across from a Denny's( I'll pass ) and a pretty nice mall. The facilities are well maintained and fairly modern. It isn't as huge as other dealerships but they seem to have a pretty good size inventory of new and used vehicles. And plus there's a sweet 2005 NSX with no miles and has never had a registered owner sitting in the showroom, what a gem. ( Wisely, not for sale. ) The service waiting area is nicely sized and comfortable and the service garage is huge! I'd much rather have a nice service department than a sales department. Because good service will keep you returning. The Experience: My service advisor, Karen was great! Told me all the recommended service I needed to do and also took care of my warranty claim. I've serviced my other cars at BMW and MB and I don't always have a good experience there so I was greatly impressed here. Keep it up. One disappointment is that it costs 25$ to get loaner where as BMW and MB it's complimentary - but not a deal breaker. I'd recommend this service department to everyone. Looking around it looks like I'm not the only pleased customer. read more

Like most people now a days, I did my shopping prior to going into the dealership. As first time new car buyer, I contacted, either by email or phone, about 15-20 different Acura dealerships. Out of all the sales reps that I spoke to, these people (especially Eddie and not so much Dan) were the rudest people over the phone. The very typical type of car salesman you stereotypically think about. Needless to say I went to other dealerships that had way better customer service. I recommend going to Pleasonton of Acura, Hansel Acura, Serramonte of Acura, or Autonation Acura Stevens Creek. All 4 places were professional, negotiated, and had really good Customer Service. read more

We had a wonderful experience buying our MDX from Eddie Gutfeld. Eddie made the process seamless and stepped up to the plate when we had a minor issue installing safety sensors. Eddie is gracious, kind and puts the customer first. He responds quickly via text, email and phone. This morning I arrived at service to get some things taken care of and he ran out and told me I didn't need to take my baby out of the car, that they could do everything in the driveway. Wow that was such a help to me! It's those small things that really make a huge difference. Michelle in service was super friendly and helpful as well. In 10 minutes everything was taken care of by the parts team and we headed home. Daniel Munoz is also amazing and knows every single thing about Acura's. He is a very knowledgeable person and answers all of our questions about the car. Daniel is awesome!! We highly recommend this dealership and service department! After informing them I wanted to purchase a used vehicle, they informed me that in order to get the best price, I needed to finalize the purchase before the end of the weekend. I had already asked them once to check the alignment, but I was still concerned that this had not been done. I agreed to purchase the car before the end of the weekend, on the understanding that they would remedy any problems found in a pre-purchase inspection to be performed on that Monday. The inspection performed by a respected independent shop, revealed unusual wear of the tires. A four wheel alignment and replacement of the rear tires were identified by the inspection as critical repairs needed for the car. Upon advising Marin Acura or the findings of the inspection, they disagreed with the findings. They maintained that the rear tire wear would "even out" over time. They agreed to pay for an alignment, but refused to pay for two new tires to replace the rears. I failed to hold them responsible for the needed repairs. At my own cost, I had a second alignment performed that cured the unusual wear of the rear tires, and purchased four new tires. Throughout this Marin Acura maintained the deal was done and that they were not responsible for taking care of this safety issue. When dealing with Marin Acura, get everything in writing. Their word is not worth the breath it is spoken on. read more
