Disclaimer: I only came here for measurements. They have fantastic service and this will be my go-to place any time I need a tailor. I called ahead to ask how much they charge for measurements, because my sister was getting a tailor to make my bridesmaid dress in Hong Kong. They said it was completely free! Once I got there 10 minutes before they closed, they very happily accommodated me. The man doing my measurements was incredibly respectful and careful about boundaries. My sister wanted to be very exact with measurements so she gave a list of 30 things to measure, and he took each one down. Once he finished, he asked me if I needed anything else and said that I'm free to come back anytime if I did. I double-checked if I needed to pay, cause I was more than happy to drop some bucks for how efficient and comfortable the experience was. He insisted I didn't and I left with a great appreciation for their dedication to excellent service! read more

Most recently we took in multiple pairs of our son's pants to be hemmed just in time for back to school, after sacrificing a number of pairs to bad tailoring at another business. I am so happy I trusted Marin Tailors, the service was really great and they did exactly what I needed!! Our son was able to get the pants tried on and marked so quickly he didn't even have time to complain! The pants were done in the promised time frame and the quality of the work was excellent (pants went from jogger style with elastic leg opening to a straight hem as requested). LOVE. THIS. PLACE. Alex has been my point person over the past couple weeks with a dress alteration for my brothers wedding, a shit ton of jeans (lost weight), blouses and casual dresses. They've killed it on all fronts. I keep coming bringing in bags of cloths and they're consistently finished perfectly. I thought I'd get some things back and you could tell it was a hem/taken in but everything looks like it originally did it just fits SO MUCH better. They've been churning out the alterations that I request well in advance of them being needed, like a week in advance. The dress for my brothers wedding had some additional changes needed after the first pass and the level of grace and accommodation and speed for these changes was so appreciated. I am tall and skinny and even the best off-the rack-clothes don't always fit right. Diego did major alterations that resulted in PERFECT fitting garments. I've been very happy with the hemming (primarily jeans) that i've had done here. The legs always come out even and straight and on the one occasion there was an issue Diego had no problem fixing it and did not give me a hard time. I've found the prices to be a little high and unpredictable for other tailoring work, but am absolutely a fan of the $10 pant hemming. read more

It was my first time ever getting any article of clothing tailored... and I must say that Marin Tailor made the experience INSANELY easy. There were quite a few tailor shops in my area (Temple City) but I made the drive to this location (50 minute drive) solely because of the quality of work I saw in their pictures, in addition to the reviews. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Alex, and shortly after, Diego came out (I had an appointment with him). I tried on each of my clothes piece by piece, and pins were put in place. To be specific, I got 3 dress shirts and 2 suits tailored and the results were simply phenomenal. You definitely do pay a premium for their services, but do not hesitate - they make sure the work is done in a timely manner and most importantly, done RIGHT. Customer service is a HUGE deal to me and I always appreciate and will support a business that makes me feel at ease. One of my favorite things about this tailor store is that the owner is almost always there, and you can tell the care that goes into the shop. The team does wonderful work. I also appreciate that they understand how fabric and fit might impact tailoring decisions -- for example they told me if I shortened the suit sleeve, I should notice how the buttons are now closer to the edge, and also tested how the fit might change if the suit sleeve was shortened from the top. It is intense attention to detail and deep experience that helps them do such amazing work. I have had three full suits tailored there so far. One jacket ended up fitting a bit tight after tailoring, and they were quick to make any changes I needed. In fact, they did two more modifications for free to make sure I was happy. If you go to Marin Tailor, you will know for a fact that they will take care of you and do whatever it takes to make sure you get amazing tailoring and leave with a smile on your face.
