While the staff was nice and accommodating of a 6:30 evening appointment, unfortunately I am not pleased with the results. The nail technician did a substandard job on my nails. I chose this salon because they could do a free form gel build because I have wide and flat nail beds; however, the nail technician told me it would look better if I used tips. The result looked as if she said that to hurry through the job, leaving my nails wide and bulky, which is what I was attempting to avoid. The nail color on one of my hands is obviously missing a top coat. I asked her to trip my cuticles, which I would suppose shouldn't have even had to be a request. She trimmed them after she completed the full set of gel nails, which left my nails looking as if I needed a refill before leaving the salon. She then did my pedicure and only did what was necessary to rush through the session. I am not sure if it was the technician I had, but based on her I would not return. Cost was $93. I was attracted to this place by the positive reviews. I wish my experience had worked out as great. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I didn't get the $25 deal but the price was decent. Note that tip is cash only. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't so busy, parking was easy and everyone seemed friendly. My nails came out okay but the place just didnt seem cleans neither did the towels they used. When my nails were done (granted it was near closing) they let me sit around to have my nails dry but ignored me the whole time apart from when I paid. In short, this place is decent and fine but if you want better service and a cleaner salon go elsewhere. I doubt I will go back! read more

Ok, I recently moved from NYC and I've been trying many different nail salons looking for only the best who can apply the thinnest, lump free gel manicure. I am ecstatic to share that I have found my new spot! Her name is Ha and she is absolutely amazing. Flawlessly hugging every corner of your nail with polish and making sure the tips of your nail are polished as well as the top surface of your nails to prevent early breakage or chipping. She takes her time and meticulously takes care of each and every one of your nails. I also got my pedicure and my big toe has been bruised and she carefully worked with me to create the color I wanted using multiple polishes preventing my bruise from bleeding through the color. Had a terrible experience yesterday that cost me almost $80. They had me burn my fingers on the gel light several times, and every time I told them, they argued with me. The longer bad experience started with being told the color I ended up picking for my gel manicure didn't cost extra. After they put the specialty pearlescent coat on a couple nails, they told me it WOULD cost extra. It was already far too late to pick another color. On top of that, the pearlescent coat was yellowed instead of clear, and looked nothing like the sample. In an attempt to appease me, they told me they wanted to put a sparkly top coat on my toes "to match" - no matter how many times I told them I wanted JUST WHITE. I gave in because it was already taking too long and I just wanted to get out. After my pedicure was done, I pointed out how white my toes were compared to my fingers, and explained to them that that was closer to what I wanted for my fingernails. That was a mistake. The toes had a glitter top coat, which ISN'T what I wanted on my fingers. I was told to tell the owner again - about how my nails were different from what I asked for. They argued with me despite the obvious difference when placing my nail next to the sample I had picked, and next to my toes. The owner asked ME how many coats where put on my fingers - how should I know? I wasn't the one painting my nails - and then the technicians all argued amongst themselves as one started taking the top coat off my nails. They added an additional coat of white gel, a coat of glitter gel, and a new top coat. My nails are so heavy and thick that they HURT. I didn't get the color I asked for, and they kept me around for much longer than I wanted to be there. Towards the end, they clearly noticed I wasn't happy and wanted to make it better, but they still failed to listen to me, wasted my time, and left me unhappy. TL;DR - Waste of $80. Will NEVER go back. Burnt fingers, bad communication, scammed me into paying more for things I didn't want, didn't listen to what I wanted, and put WAY too many coats of gel on my nails. This is just the start of the many issues I encountered. read more

I absolutely love this place! Each and every time I have gone in I've left feeling very satisfied. My very first time there I accidentally dropped one of their bottles of polish...it shattered and polish was EVERYWHERE! I was so embarrassed but they were so kind and forgiving. As for the work they do I have been completely impressed with the efficiency and skill from all employees. I have found everyone there to be pleasant, kind, and very talented. I've noticed some people commenting on feeling weird about having employees stand and watch while they were getting their nails done but I feel this is a great. I've noticed there have been some new technicians there and I think it's great that they are getting the opportunity to learn from their peers. Michelle took great care to show her skills to a newer employee one day while working on me and honestly it didn't bother me at all. This place is nice, but way too expensive for the kind of work they do. My mani-pedi was fine (I'm a guy with low expectations when it comes this stuff). But my best friend got the expensive powder-manicure treatment thing, which came out great, except that there was a lot of nail polish residue around her nails on her fingers. When she told the technician about it, she said it would come off with soap and water; but guess what? It most certainly did not! I felt bad watching my friend trying to scrape off the paint residue off w/her newly manicured nails the whole way home. What an excellent surprise!!! I found this spot randomly and came in for a mani-pedi. My hands and toes look perfect! Nothing was rushed, everything was very clean, the massage chair was great, and the women were extremely attentive, kind and doing a wonderful job cleaning up and polishing my nails :) There's a huge, private parking lot in the back, which made it extremely convenient to park (especially because this nail salon is smushed in between two crazy busy streets). I am not sure why the reviews are so high here. I went last weekend and had a really poor manicure. I booked a gel, and once I walked in, the owner (manager? A male) upsold me to SNS, telling me that it's better than gel and "everyone is doing it." Well maybe they are, but if they're happy with it, they had a better experience than I did. At the end, my nails were thick, under my nails had gunk sticking my nails to my fingers, and my cuticles were a hack job. I couldn't wait to get it off and had to go somewhere else for a fix. It was super busy in the salon, so it felt like a conveyor belt, only there was no care taken to do nice work. The very moment the manicurist finished, I was asked to move to dry for a few minutes so she could start on the next customer. The owner (?) asked to see my nails when I paid. I showed him, and he could clearly see that they were super thick, yet he was like, "nice!" So the bad work was clearly okay with him. I definitely wouldn't go back, and I recommend that you don't bother. Really poor experience. read more

This place is hit or miss. Mary the owner, and Summer, are the only people I've had good experiences with. Other times I've had bleeding cuticles, really thick SNS, and my technician completely nodding off while doing my foot massage (which is an additional cost) to name a few bad experiences. 3 stars because a place only deserves 4 or 5 if it's high quality and value every single time. I'm am extremely picking about my nails and nail salons. I came here because my coworker/friend recommended I try the SNS powder nails. At the time I did not realize she was talking about this particular salon, lol. Yesterday was my third visit and I love it. The powder is fantastic but it's not so much about that as it is the salon itself. Everyone is not only friendly but very professional. They time the pedicures and nails perfectly (your toes are dry by the time you are finished with your nails). Very smart! At first I thought they were just busy. Now I am loving that I don't have to worry about my toes getting smudged when I'm leaving and I don't have to sit there for 30 minutes waiting to dry. It's clean, organized! Very efficient. My mom and I had reservations for mani/pedis at this salon and we came right in and had no wait! They were so sweet, offering to replace my magazine whenever I was finished with it. They do have a lot of upgrade options, but we just got the basic mani/pedi which did include a nice foot and hand massage, a lot more than I get at other salons! They have Essie and OPI polishes and some gel polishes as well that I would try next time. The ambiance of this place is great, the spa chairs seem brand new and clean and the curtains between chairs are a great touch. All of the tools they used were sanitized and pulled out a pouch just for me, everything looked clean and they took their time, making sure everything was just as I wanted it. They are running a 10% off special right now too which was a nice added touch. Don't know how long that goes for but it was a great surprise! Defineley give this place a try! Just had my nails done here and must have missed the review about the $25 mani/pedi on mon, tues and weds because I think I gasped out loud! While I was waiting for my nails to dry one of the workers sat down to chat. She asked if it was my first visit and if I live close by. I told her there are salons closer to my Playa Del Rey apt but that their salon has better reviews so I chose to travel a little further north. She was very appreciative and told me it is very important that that their customers leave happy because they want them to return. (What a novel concept!) She also said they try very hard not to speak Vietnamese in front of their customers because they don't want them to wonder whether they're being talked about. Haha! I just assume I am and it's never really bothered me. (Yeah, yeah, my feet are ugly. Who's aren't?) But it's nice to know that they take extra care to make sure their customers are comfortable. As my nails are barely dry I can't comment on how long the mani/pedi lasted but based on customer service and price I will definitely be back. read more

I live a block from this nail salon, and I've been here twice. The actual manicure/pedicure is average. I didn't think it was the best ever or the worst ever. If I were rating on that alone, I would give 3 stars. But the reason for the 2 stars is that the people that work here are so nosy and pushy that you can't relax at all...and let's face it, I can paint my own nails, I'm paying for the spa experience - the relaxation that should be enjoyed while someone else is doing the buffing, massaging and painting. A friend and I came together after a long time of not seeing each other and were excited to catch up while getting pedis. We barely got to do so because her nail tech kept interrupting every few minutes to ask if she wanted another service (above the more expensive package already selected). Then there was, what I assume, a manager lady who kept sitting in the chairs next to us and trying to hang with us like we were her girlfriends. She kept nosing in on our conversation, asking questions, and THEN suggesting that we get more services next time we came in. We hadn't even finished this visit yet, and she's telling us what to get next time. The final straw was that she, more than once, touched my friend's pregnant belly. My friend was clearly uncomfortable, but too polite to make a scene of it. I'm sorry, but anyone with a customer service job should know that you can't just touch customers....you have to ask. It was not a relaxing experience at all, in fact it was really uncomfortable, and I felt so bad for suggesting it. My friend and I barely got to catch up, and she ended up spending more than she wanted because the 'upseller' tricked her into something that costed extra. My technician was not as aggressive as hers, plus she was few minutes ahead of me so I could hear all the things her tech was trying to upsell along the way. It is clear that the technicians here are incentivized to upsell. If you have steely reserve, then you'll leave spending what you wanted. If you're like me, and simply want a quiet, relaxing experience then stay away from this place. Spring nails a few doors down is much more relaxing, no upselling or people trying to be your girlfriend. read more
