If you don't have cracks and ready to get your nails done every two weeks, it will be ok for you. But let me tell you a secret: my gel manicure with other salons lasts for four weeks at least. I asked to fix a crack on my nails before getting manicure done. I have those cracks a lot, and it was never a problem anywhere else before. This time my cracks were fixed with super glue. SUPER GLUE! I did that back in 90's when I did my nails by myself. I was told it would be ok. It was. For two hours. I came back to fix them in a couple of days since they didn't have time for me. Was charged $15, would be nice to get it done complimentary as it was their mistake. But ok, not a big deal. They fixed them with a "strong gel". A week after I got the same cracks back. I came back to show that and was told that it was my fault. Sure, I've been getting my cracks fixed for 10 years, and I never had to come back with the same crack. I have SNS manicures because they typically last 3 weeks but after less than a week this manicure started to crack and lift up at the nail bed. I contacted Marina Nail Spa with photos showing the poor manicure and the response I received was rebuffing, stating that "95% of clients keep their SNS manicures for 3-4weeks." When the cracked nail chipped off the following day I followed up with further photos showing the messed up manicure only to be told "I don't know what you did with your nails but 95% of customers keep their manicure for 3 weeks." So much for customer comes first and, for the record, I did nothing out of the ordinary... I hadn't even washed my hair (Don't judge me!) The technicians are really professional but the owner is really unprofessional. I had always put up with him because the only interaction was at the beginning and end of the visit. I went in for a SNS and pedi, 4 day later I had 3 nails chipped. I called and he texted back. He accused me of chipping it and that is impossible in 4 days. Why can't he be professional?? He could have said "okay, come back and we can fix it". I've been to plenty of places where I can go back to get them fix for free. Sometimes this happens when it isn't applied correctly!! I used to love getting my nails done here, but my recent experience was very disappointing. My appointment kept getting pushed back, and when I finally arrived, it took nearly two hours to get my hard gel done. Less than a week later, I started noticing chips, even though my hard gel usually lasts 3-4 weeks. When I reached out after a little over a week (since I'd been busy), they told me I'd have to pay for repairs and blamed me for the damage. I decided I'd be willing to pay anyway, but their availability was so limited that I couldn't even get an appointment time that worked. I've been going to Marina Nails Spa for the past 3-4 years. They were the only place that I've found to do the best SNS powder dip on the west side. Recently.. last couple of times I've gotten my SNS nails done, my nails have instantly start cracking and breaking. I've gone back and they have fixed the cracked nails and made it right. This last visit, in just one week, I have visible cracks on all my nails. I reached out to the salon manager and he refused to fix or refund and blames me on the cracks. "Hi It's not normal after 1 week!!! May be you did something strong with your nails, typing on keyboard, using sanitizer or washing your hands ..." I've never experienced such terrible customer service before. He claims I'm the only one that had issues, but this is not a true because I know of other people I've recommended them to this salon and have had similar cracking or full nails pop off issues. I've tried to be understanding, because I really love my nail technician, Mary. She's always amazing and shapes my nails so beautifully, but I believe their SNS product or how the product is applied is flawed and their customer service is even more flawed. Summer does an SNS mani for me every 3-4 weeks and any gal that has done my gel pedicure has done a wonderful job as well. The owner is very kind and great with scheduling and communicating. I've been going here consistently since mother's day 2021. I get a sns/powder dip mani and regular pedi. They both usually last three weeks (absent nail growth). They do a great job on all fronts. My natural nails are healthy and long. They don't drill off the powder at all...your nails get soaked in acetone and warmth. It takes about an hour if you do a regular dip, but they can do designs, you just need to let them know ahead of time. Since it's still covid times, they do a temp check when you come in, you must wear a mask, and wash your hands upon entry. You can check their IG for more pics read more

I came in last minute for a pedicure. The owner was very professional! Chao did my toes and she was very sweet. I like more of a square shape and she was accommodating. Sometimes at other salons when you want a small change they have a bad attitude, she didn't. When I went home my toes seemed dried and I put shoes on and messed them up. I went to this nail shop about five times for SNS( dipping powder) and regular pedicure. First of all they don't answer their phone not at all, just first time he answered the phone, later he told me better you text, by the way the respond to your text is 24 hours later or sometimes more. First time technician name Maria did my SNS and another girl did my pedicure. My SNS was good and did last for awhile, but my pedicure was very bad, I had pain with my bigger toe nail. I texted him and complained about it and ask for repair it and when she repaired it, she cut my toe nail too much at the corner and my nail became worst and look ugly. Second time I went for SNS with same girl Maria and I asked for different pedicurist, by the way the guy "I think he is the owner" told me $45 for SNS, but he told me this time is $50 , because she has to remove the SNS ! Second time my SNS came off the day after and when I went for repair, the guy told me for repair they charge $5 for each nail repair! I told him I did my SNS a day ago and he said doesn't matter. Anyhow for third time I asked for different technician for my SNS & pedicure. Third time my SNS last for awhile. Forth time I asked for same technician who did SNS third time for me and it last 3 weeks. The last time I asked for same girl to remove my SNS and do regular manicure for me. I can't believe it as soon as I got home, one of my nail polish was peeling off and I texted the guy the day after to ask for she does repair it and he told me the technician refuses to give me service! That's ridicules for the high charge he does, they give you very unprofessional job. I really DO NOT RECOMMEND this nail shop for nail services. BE CAREFUL of what you gone expect. My gel manicure began to peel after less than 48 hours, unacceptable. I texted to see if they could fix it and check out the picture to see how I was treated: I was accused, told to pay for their mistake, then told it was my fault. What an amazing experience I had today. Linda and Heidi were the beautiful women who did my gel mani pedi service. I was helped immediately and as a walk-in on a Saturday that is very much an appreciated surprise. When I'm a new place I choose a simple color... nothing too in depth, but I have a feeling these ladies can handle anything. I have been doing a bunch of gardening lately and I was a little embarrassed about the state of my cuticles... but I received nary a negative look or comment. They were so EXTREMELY professional and very kind hearted here... even the male manager was sweet natured! I felt truly taken care of, which I very much appreciated and needed. In fact, Linda who did my pedicure noticed I was having a stiff neck and offered to do my shoulder/ massage. WELL!!! It was the most intuitive and best massage I've had in AGES... I told Mary I wanted a french gel manicure but did not want to see any of the white of my nails underneath. She did a test on one nail for me to see, wiped it off, and did another test before doing all nails. She put a couple of coats of natural color and then the orange french tip. It's perfect! I am not that OCD about the service and product I get at the nail salon -- I rarely ask questions about the chemistry or science of anything they're putting on my body, and aside from some of the weird color pattern requests I have, I'm not very exotic with my design needs. This Basic Girl disposition of mine therefore made me a little suspicious when Mary at Marina Nail Spa was really hyping SNS dipping. I'd never been to the salon before, and so I thought it was just garden variety upselling of a new fad. However, Mary was not especially aggressive as a saleswoman, and as I began to look at photos of her past work as a nail technician, I realized she was something of an "artist in residence" at Marina. and so I went with her suggestion, Even going a little crazy with French tips. I'm glad I overcame my cynicism because SNS is the business; I'll never go with simple acrylics ever again. The colors were vibrant and had that deep luster that usually only gels have. What's more, they lasted forever it seemed, or at least significantly longer than acrylics. I actually had to take a few off when it was time to re-up, yet that removal was amazingly easy considering how solid the adhesive had been. It almost feels like the ladies are in an oppressive work environment, with "the man" watching over them. The vibe feels off. So I'm looking for a new nail salon yet again. That's how I ended up at Marina Nail Spa. I didn't know what to expect since I've seen just about every kind of nail salon within the past year. I was so glad that I had a wonderful experience. right after I made my appointment they sent me a text to confirm the information. After I left, they sent me a text thanking me. :-) I loved the way this long was decorated. I had these cute little chandeliers and nice wall art. The massage chairs are super comfy.
