My family and I have been patrons of Marinelli's in Palmer/Easton since around 2011, so writing this review honestly makes me sad. We went there for their advertised Mother's Day special dinner this year, and unfortunately it was one of the worst dining experiences we've had in a very long time. To begin with, it took roughly an hour just to receive salads -- the first course of the meal. The restaurant was clearly busy, which we expected on Mother's Day, but the service throughout the evening never recovered. It became extremely difficult to get any follow-up service at all. At one point, my wife literally had to call across the restaurant just to get someone's attention, which is something we would never normally do. The staff themselves were polite, but communication was often difficult, which made handling problems with the meal frustrating and confusing. There were also several issues with the Mother's Day promotion itself. The advertisement stated that mothers would receive a complimentary rose and appetizer, but neither mother in our party received a rose. We were also only given one printed special-menu sheet for a table of four, which made ordering unnecessarily awkward. As someone with gluten intolerance, I already understood my options would be limited, but I was genuinely shocked by the quality of the food I received. I ordered the gluten-free pasta Bolognese, and the pasta arrived visibly undercooked -- hard to cut with a fork and hard to bite into. The sauce was overwhelmingly heavy and spicy, more like an arrabbiata-style meat sauce than a traditional Bolognese. I returned the dish and instead ordered my longtime fallback choice there: a gluten-free personal pizza. Unfortunately, that was no better. By the time the pizza arrived, the rest of my party had already finished eating. The crust tasted undercooked and chalky, almost like a frozen pre-made crust that had not been properly prepared. I could barely eat half a slice, even after trying to reheat it at home later. To make matters worse, because there were no gluten-free soup or dessert options available, I effectively paid for a special dinner experience while barely being able to eat at all. The rest of my party was similarly disappointed. The desserts were underwhelming, the cheesecake portions were unusually thin, and the cannoli texture was off. What disappointed us most, however, was the response afterward. We politely spoke with the manager, whom we've known for years, hoping at least for some acknowledgment or effort to make things right after such a poor experience. Instead, we essentially received an awkward apology and no real attempt whatsoever to address the problems. I was also surprised to see the pricing discrepancies. The gluten-free personal pizza was listed online around $16, yet the dine-in price came to nearly $23 after an additional $4 pepperoni charge. When I asked why the dine-in price was higher, I was told it was to pay for the dining room redesign -- which honestly felt like a very strange explanation. I genuinely hate writing reviews like this because we have supported Marinelli's for many years and have had decent experiences there in the past. But after this Mother's Day dinner, we unfortunately left feeling ignored, overcharged, and deeply disappointed. read more

This restaurant was on our list to try and decided to stop by for lunch today. One cheesesteak, sauce on the side, no onions for $9 and extra 75 cents for SOS? The cheesesteak roll was 10/12", 3/4 full, barely 4 Ounces of meat, and pebbled. Not a fan. And always like to try a restaurant version of eggplant parmigiana, small portion of Angel hair, a small salad, 2 pieces of warmed bread, $14 ! I cheese yet the layers of eggplant were stacked without any mozzarella between layers. Cons: $2.50 for a bottle of water, no prices on cooler $0.75 for tiny ramekin of red sauce And as we were eating, the kitchen crew had brooms and mops and started to wash the kitchen floor, full on swirling water sloshing as we were eating! Not sanitary. As a new customer, I'm big on asking questions, communicating, yet the staff can shake their heads all they want, if they don't make it happen, I'm not getting what I want. We have been going here for sometime. Never a problem. But today was the last time! We order a slice, 6 garlic knots,& a sub ( California Chicken ) went to go sit at a table, all are dirty. Asked the women for a towel to wipe it down. There was not a person in there. She stuck her hands in a bucket to ring out a gross rag & only wiped down 2 tables. Never touched the other dirty tables,dirty floor or over filled bus pan. As we are waiting for our order there are countless fruit flies all around. Still no customers but us & not one person is worried about how this place looks, just hanging out talking. Our sub had maybe a total of one chicken finger, cut up & no mayo. That's kinda ok. Great little neighborhood place. You can pick your Alice from a variety of ready made pies, or order a fresh one. There's are tables and chairs and a tv. The garlic knots are amazing too. I want to try their pasta as well. Maybe next time. I just had a slice of pepperoni and it definitely hit the spot. read more

Eh. Not that impressed. The Buffalo chicken pizza and bruschetta were huge disappointments. The pepperoni was good. But the bruschetta was just bread with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese. Where is the balsamic glaze? Where is the oil? The liquid? It was dry and not at all what bruschetta is. The Buffalo chicken was what we were most excited for and unfortunately it was just chicken on a pizza. I have a feeling it was frozen chicken chunks on there too. I have been stopping by for pizza here for many years. I live in Bethlehem township and there is not many good pizza stops there in my opinion. Marinellis first got me with the cheese tortellini alfredo slices. I used to stop in and grab one of these togo. They always quickly heated up and I was on my way. It is so so yummy! I have since ordered pizza here numerous times. Its always fresh hot and delicious! I never ordered much else but would recommend the pizza for sure! read more

This is what Italian eateries used to be like in this area decades ago. You walk in and there's slices of pizza behind the glass counter and you choose which one you want. They slide it in the oven as you order it. One of the great things about this place is that there are ample different toppings and some pretty cool ones, too. This is a great place to come if you're looking to grab a slice. It can be great for a quick take out or if you want to sit down. My friends that suggested it have been coming here for decades. I think the greatest discovery is the value. You can grab a slice, full meal, cup of soup or an entree salad without spending too much money. We walked in here on several occasions and tried many different types of slices, not to be disappointed by any. They have what seems like an endless amount of options from taco pizza, to white pizza to parm pizza two regular pepperoni and so much more mixed in.Still, it was the value that stood out the most. They offer traditional slices and Sicilian. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the garlic bread. We also ordered chicken parm one night and a few subs, all of which where average, but did come with sizable portions. I wouldn't consider this authentic Italian food, but there's really nothing to complain about either. If you're in the market for a slice or a whole pizza or an Italian dish this will likely be a frequent value stop for you. read more

Disappointing! Ordered the pasta Arrabiata and chicken and broccoli in Alfredo sauce along with an order of garlic knots. 1. The tomato sauce on the arrabiata was vinegary and HOT, like the chef just dumped in red pepper flakes for flavor. 2. The Alfredo sauce was runny and had no flavor, like the chef economized on ingredients using low-fat milk instead of cheese and butter 3. Chicken was decent- fresh and cooked nicely. Broccoli was *almost* overcooked. 4. The garlic knots were godawful - the bread was grainy and lacked flavor. Also the knots were greasy. Yuck! read more

Good timing on the delivery, even on a "holiday." Ordered a Sicilian pizza,and 10 hot wings. The za, it's huge. I'm a big eater and I could only knock out 1/4. I don't live in the northeast and I'm not from Sicily, so I'm not schooled on the finer points of this amazing concoction, but it passed all my tests. The wings are good, deep fried. The sauce could be applied a bit more evenly, but if you're looking for wings you don't have to go out to get, these are as good as any in the area. So done with this place. We ordered a couple weeks ago and didn't get the toppings we ordered and paid for. Gave them another chance and this time my cheesesteak has barely any meat (see pic), it was falling out of the wrapper as I pulled it out of the bag. Thanks for the 8$ roll Marinelli's. I know none of the cooks would make a cheesesteak like this for themselves...shouldn't the customer order be something you'd be proud to sell?! My fiancé's chicken sandwich didn't have the extra mayo he requested or the side of oil and vinegar. We are trying to help our local restaurants during this crazy pandemic but will no longer eat here. I called them and the guy was just like "sorry, bring it back". Looking for a quick bite to eat before heading home to Jersey, I stopped here for a quick slice to eat before the 1 1/2 hour trek. A warm welcome when we walked in and the pizza was ready in no time. Warmed to perfection, the slice of pizza was firm, perfectly cheesed and sauced, and not burnt. Just the way that makes my belly happy. The price was extremely reasonable as well. Great pizza! Always so fresh and good! The delivery person is so friendly! The new person is great! I order approximately once per week and am always happy. I love the pizza-- pepperoni and fresh peppers are amazing! My mom loved the gluten free pizza. I also love jalapeño poppers, mozzarella sticks, salads, and fries. read more

He prefered to have me bring in the leftover food that my family and I didn't eat to grant me a refund at their discretion. How petty is that. We lived in the area for 20 years and ordered from them. This was our favorite eat in and take out restaurant at one point in time many years and owners ago. Now we occasionally order their take out when other restaurants are closed on a Sunday and we temporarily forget how bad their food has become. A recent meatball parm sandwich reminded us how low their quality has become. Too bad. Can't complain about their excellent bread, but tasteless, sawdust texture meatballs are unacceptable at these prices. Two meatball parm sandwiches for $18.00 and regretting my purchase as we choke down our terrible mistake. No thanks. This restaurant does not deserve our patronage for this poor quality tasteless food. This place is reasonably priced, but the food was just okay. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was over cooked and charred. My husband had a medium turkey sub, which was average. My son ordered 2 slices of pizza, which I thought looked delicious, but he reported that he didn't like the taste. Total cost was 24.00, which seemed reasonable. read more

This place used to be a very mediocre pizzeria in a town super-saturated with great Italian food. I'm not sure if it's under new management/ownership or if they just improved...but today this is one of my go-to spots for good food. I've had the pizza, hot subs, wraps, fries, and most recently a pasta dinner from here and they've all been excellent (if sometimes slightly over-priced). If you haven't tried Marinelli's in a while, come in and try, it's worth it. read more

I ordered from this restaurant via Grub Hub, which as not an issue. The issue is that the pizza was not fresh and hard. I also believe that they used marinara sauce opposed to regular tomato paste or "pizza" sauce. I called the restaurant and spoke to "someone" in charge and asked him what he used for sauce and I also asked whether the pie was made recently or sitting around. I let him know that I had to reheat the pie because it was hard. Although the person in charge was sympathetic, I won't be ordering pie from them any time soon. read more

Very friendly and comfortable environment unfortunately the pizza was not up to par maybe it was just an off day but I was recommend here and on this given day I was dissatisfied the pizza was priced greatly however the pizza was very oily and almost to much cheese and not enough sauce I know some places you have to order a fresh full pie to get the real taste so maybe I'll give them another shot some day. read more
