When I scheduled to get our problem addressed, we were told the $49 will be used towards the work or in other words, refunded. NO ONE, neither the lady on the phone nor the technician Simei who came over told us that you have to get the work done same day in order for the $49 to be refunded. In fact, when we signed on his tablet, I said it again that this will be refunded when we call you back right ? He said yes. We had to get the landlord's approval. Appointment scheduling through Yelp was easy. I was able to get an appointment for the next day. My service did not start out well. My time was 12-4. By 4:05 I called the office because I had not heard from my technician. I was assured he would call. 2 more calls within the next 2 hours only to be told the same thing. I did not hear from my technician until close to 7:00. My technician apologized and said he got stuck at another job that took way longer. I understand things happen but the office should have at least been aware and notified me that my technician was going to be late. However, once he did arrive, he was nothing but professional and courteous. He was quick in finding the leak and started repairs. He also recommended preventative solutions to minimize potential of future leaks. I do not want another leak but if it happens I would definitely use them again. read more

Fantastic service from technician Lonell Rodgers today. I had a fire alarm/carbon monoxide detector wired into the ceiling that had expired and no amount of changing the battery or pressing the button stopped the chirping. I had a two part quote from them. First was to replace the main sewer line. Second part (which they backed out of) was to put everything back in original condition. They failed to have a supervisor on site the majority of the time (even though I was told one would be there the entire time), the people they had doing the work do not have the knowledge needed to do it correctly, their communication during the process was poor, and they backed out of the second portion of the job. I would not hire them again for anything in the future and regret hiring them for this job. Here are some of the specific issues I experienced: * They removed the water heater and solar water heater. I had to buy the parts and reconnect everything myself as they then pointed out that the quote didn't state they would put it back in. (They also pointed out they didn't know how to put the solar water tank back in. (You would think they would have mentioned that before disconnecting it.) * They did not cut the concrete floor before jackhammering it. This leaves a much messier patch on the floor. * They did not cover anything or do anything to mitigate the dust from the jack hammering. (They also did not clean up the dust they left everywhere.) * As they dug up under the slab, they piled the dirt and water onto the rest of the floor and against the wall. I had to tell them they needed to take it outside as it was damaging the walls. * They put the flange for the toilet 22" off the wall (should be 12"). I caught this and told them they needed to fix it before filling the floor in. * They tried to put an exhaust pipe up in the middle of the floor till I forced them to move it to the wall. * The inspector failed their work and had them redo a large portion of it. * The patch work to fill the floor back in was very poorly done leaving loose areas and cracks. I'm having to have it ground down now and portions redone. As the second part was meant to be for the reconstruction, I didn't make the first crew clean up everything. As soon as they were done on the first portion, and paid for the first portion, I got the call saying they wouldn't be able to do the second part. That left a huge mess with dust from jackhammering, dirt, and other debris everywhere, along with a disconnected solar tank, and many other issues, along with me needing to get quotes to finish the job, plus fix the issues that they left. read more

Very happy with the service I got today. I had a leaky bath faucet but in order to shut off the water supply a manhole cover has to be lifted outside. It's been really rainy here and the manhole was just about overflowing with 4 ft of water. These intrepid plumbers were up for the job but found the water had made it impossible to decipher which valve belonged to my unit. They offered the great solution of installing a new system inside my home and made sure I could turn off and on. That gives me peace of mind for the future. Oh, and my bathtub faucet no longer drips! Hired to replace 2 toilets. Technician was excellent. Technician (Kevin) removed the toilets and ensured prep and area for new toilets was clean and used all new parts. After installation he ensured the toilets operated correctly and area was clean. He additional took the old toilets and packaging for new toilets for disposal. Had a great experience with Marine Services. I had a complex shower system that needed to be replaced. Reached out to over 10 companies and only 3 said they had the expertise to do it. Marine services was by far the most reasonable and knowledgeable. They arrived promptly and communicated quickly and often. Took the time to answer all of my many questions (sometimes more than once). I even had a 2 month gap between estimate and scheduling the work and they honored their original estimate, which didn't change at all when it came time to pay, even when a second visit ended up being required. Doesn't actually offer handyman services, like their displayed flyer says. They are now a referral service that charges $50 to estimate each part of the job. So, if you need some electrical and plumbing work, it is $50 to estimate the electrical work, it is $50 estimate the plumbing work. Hopefully, you like whatever estimate those trades give you because otherwise, your $100 is gone. read more
