I also consider myself a pizza connoisseur, next to ribeyes,barbecue and key lime pie, I'm probably saying my fourth is pizza. It's totally different than Chicago pizza, and I think it's because of the water I really do!!! What separates pizza places are either the ingredients, or in this place, what separates them is their crust. They make everything fresh right in front of you, pictures are below. Jennie took our order and she walked us through the menu. We ended up getting a big margherita pizza. My son got the 2 tomato slices, he isn't a big cheese fan. My wife got pepperoni, they have beef pepperoni or pork pepperoni. Mikey Love was really cool he came out and greeted me. My kids got a drink, and then guess what, their gelato was actually top tier. I went for pizza and found out the Geloto was was awesome. You go to a pizza place and then get gelato. They had vanilla and watermelon, it was so good. The sit-down food is classic Brooklyn Italian comfort food, the portions are generous, and obviously you finish with the spumoni. This isn't precious food and it isn't trying to impress anybody. Looking thru reviews here, I see other people also experienced this, including people in small parties who were locked into the 20% when it should have definitely been 18%. :/ So close to a good experience, but ruined by tricksy billing.
