I have eaten here a couple times with coworkers because it's the closest to our work. There are 2 food trucks, 1 with seafood and the other with tacos. All 8 of us have agreed the TACO TRUCK WORST FOOD EVER!!!!!! along with customer service. Carnitas were old and chewy not good at all. The guacamole was sour had to spit it out. Hard shell tacos were store bought. Made a couple of us sick with food poisoning never went back again. We all agreed their food is terrible. Now the seafood truck (mariscos) does have good food..Tastes fresh and reasonable prices. Sucks because of a terrible food truck the other truck (mariscos) has to go get a bad reputation. They don't let you know how your food is being prepared when you try and get it prepared properly they hang up on you and won't return your calls. They tell you what toy can order and if you don't like it then you just have to accept it. Because this location is a bit farther off from my home, I was really excited to finally try it. The atmosphere was super awesome, mainly because I've never been to a place where I can order at a food truck & be able to enjoy it in an outdoor, very nice seating area! (The things people in Fresno find exciting...lol). We got the carne asada fries and carnitas tacos--the tacos with a can of soda if you get the combo. Disappointed in the quality and taste of the food. The camarones a la diabla were not spicy whatsoever which is the whole point of that dish. The rice was old and crusty. "YES! I am the fatass who was also here last night." My roommate and I ridiculously planned some late night get-a-way taco truck run at 11pm last night. He was craving tostadas and I, shrimp ceviche. The set up of this joint is two permanent standing taco trucks with an attached outside dining area. The seafood truck apparently closes much earler because we ended up having to opt for tacos -- which were FAR from disappointing. I ordered the 3 taco special (with carne asada) for $5 and some change, and included a canned soda. LORT HAMMERCY!!! The meat was out of this world. I salivate just thinking about it... as a matter of fact, I went back this afternoon. LOL. I repeat, "I AM the fatass who was also here last night" I was on my lunch break having another fat kid moment when I texted my roommate to come meet me. "So... since the seafood truck wasn't open, wanna go back?" A text and a confirmation later and we were both en route to meet each other there. Yeah, you can say we were meant to be for each other. It's a clean taco stand on a permanent foundation, with lots and lots of seating and tropical shading. The place is always packed, they are clean, efficient, and authentic.I normally ---- do NOT eat out of taco trucks, but these guys are good. They even have bathrooms on site. I live within a mile away and consider myself a picky eater. My dad always said that his grandma used to say - if they dont keep their bathrooms clean, the kitchen is probably dirty as well. Back 50 years ago there were only diners and no fast food, so when they would travel, before they would all get out, they would have someone inspect the bathroom. Now, it's a really nice looking "overhang" with gabled roof, stone bricks, deco-concrete floor, stucco, plexiglass wind screens and wrought iron gates. Really nice setting. I ordered a Cabeza Torta Combo (soda and fries/pappas). It took a while which I took as it was freshly assembled but it was slow. It should be a sub-10 minute item. Torta was very good though a bit "flat". Fair amount of carne but the produce seemed skimped upon. However, as I typed, "I haven't eaten there in years." It may be the norm or it may have been a Blip on the screen. It was quite tasty. Fries were good and fresh (I wish every Mexican joint had Pappas). I would have liked a bit more but who doesn't want more fries‽ My Pepsi was a can and OK. All in all, it wasn't bad for $7.99, in a permanent structure and in the Fresno City limits. So-so staff that seemed amused a non-Mexican came in, ordered Beef "Head" in a Torta and could speak Mexican Spanish! Next time I'm going for fish, hoping a joint called "Mariscos" has good fish. "Go figure!" LOL! Update: After reading many negative reviews, I am resonating with their negatives and feel I've been too kind. This place seemed really nice upon entering. Stood at the register for awhile before my girlfriend and I were even acknowledged. The girl finally started taking our order and we had to repeat what we wanted a couple of times. 1 veggie burrito, 1 asada burrito, 1 large drink. Didn't think that was too hard to comprehend... After getting our meal my asada burrito was the size of a $1 Taco Bell burrito with the worst butchered steak I have ever consumed. If you thought Robertitos had poor quality meat think again. My girlfriend's burrito was twice the size of mine but was packed with onion, and not much of anything else. I was there moment ago, about 30 minutes, and already I've had to pull over twice to use the restroom. I'm currently in a McDonald's bathroom stall with sharp pains in my stomach and sharp pains coming out my backside. That melted gooey cheese was the best I've ever had in a quesadilla. Absolute perfection. So there are 2 stands. One is to order seafood and the other is for meat. I love this place but, I'm not sure if it's my pregnancy taste buds or if it really was that the Al Pastor meat was not good. It felt dry and disgusting. You could even taste the pork flavor as usually Al Pastor, although it's pork, you can only taste the sweet marinated taste. I wanted to mention this in case some some one else felt the same way. I would normally give this place five stars! The food here is amazing and we come at least once to twice a week when I pick up lunch for our attorneys in the office. USUALLY the girl I deal with is always sweet and friendly and polite. Today 7/2/19 the girl was rude and seemed to hate her job. She was rushed me and then when I asked for more salsa cups then "she thought" I needed she refused and told me , "it's only four tacos I can only give you four cups max." Just left this place a few min ago, I ordered a torta combo, after waiting a very long time, I finally got it with burnt bread, I took it back and asked to have the bread exchanged or torta re-made, the gal said they would all be the same way, as the bread is toasted do to the mayo on the sandwich. I let her know the bread was burnt, not just toasted, and if they could remake it without the mayo to ovoid burnt bread. She took it back and remade it. Unfortunately I ended up taking off the bread and eating it with a fork. It wasn't worth taking it back a second time. We've been coming here for over a year. It's our go to spot for Mexican food but after our service and food tonight we're switching! I'm so disappointed people can still be in business after treating people with such disrespect. My advice to everyone is to double check your receipt because they double charged me for some things, when I said so TO GO they left it on the counter and gave me attitude when I said no it's to go "eye roll" like I'm making his life so difficult by throwing some damn foil on it.
