First time trying El Jalisciense. To be completely transparent, the drive-through makes it super convenient to stop by, especially since not many Mexican restaurants offer that option. I ordered a super burrito and two tacos al pastor, and the total came out to $18, which is very affordable compared to other places. The burrito and tacos had an average taste--not the best tacos I've had--but they do offer a wide variety of items on their menu, so there's plenty to choose from.

The only thing I would say is that the box for the wet burrito started getting soggy and made a hole but other than that the food is amazing :)

Did someone say Taco Tuesday!! and now Thursday We stopped by during the grand opening a few months back & have been here two more times. Corner location with some indoor seating but mainly everyone uses the drive thru or takes it to go. We grabbed a few tacos of Carne Asada, Pollo, Chorizo & Tripas con todo and a Sope de carne asada. Each offer their own flavors with plenty of meat & toppings. Today the Sope & taco de Tripas was the favorite. I did order fries hoping for crispy but they were not, so it will be the 1st & only time I get them. Menu has a variety of food options, drive thru gets busy and inside can sometimes get crowded but staff is all working hard to get you your order pretty quickly from each avenue. We will back for a round of happy Tacos & maybe a Torta or the safe Burrito.

Came here on a Thursday for their tacos and they don't skimp on the meat or toppings! It wasn't too busy either, definitely will come back!

$1.50 tacos on Tuesdays! I love that they use corn tortillas and make the food to order. Each taco has a good amount of meat too, with several protein options. If you're thirsty, you should try the Jamaica (hibiscus) Agua Fresca. It tastes more concentrated than what I've had elsewhere and has a nice tartness. Perfect for hot days! Service is good. The cashier that helped me was patient and kind. Parking and seating are limited, but they have a drive thru. Coming back soon!

A new Taquería opened up in the Alum Rock neighborhood with Taco Tuesday and Taco Thursday specials for $1.50 each! Located right off King and Alum Rock, where El Chalateco used to be, is this new restaurant with some daily taco specials. The parking lot is about 2 dozen spots. You can order via a drive thru window too. When you walk in, you will order from a kiosk so no need to talk to a human until you receive your order. You put in your phone number and will be texted when it's ready. I did a to go order but there were other diners sitting at the tables enjoying their tacos right away. Now onto the taste, the tacos were hella bomb! They don't skimp out on the meat either. Just because it was cheap, does not mean that they kept the experience cheap. I think their tacos are regularly $2.50 and even that is good bang for your buck in today's time. The food is absolutely delicious and I see myself going back for more in the future. The restaurant is new and clean. Highly recommend to check them out.

Onion even though I asked for no onion

If I could leave zero stars I would. I ordered a burrito with avocado and sour cream that he payed extra for and it was NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. Oh yeah, and I also asked for no onion (I'm allergic) and thankfully they remade it with the avocado yet, it still had onion I had to pick it out with a fork. Service is horrible. The restaurant is nice but the super loud music made it overstimulating

Contact less Kiosk , they charge you a service fee

Foods ok. They are quick and efficient. But they charge you to use the kiosk to order food. That sucks.

Since that night, it has become the only seafood boil spot that I consistently come back to. My go-to order is the shrimp and crawfish with their Sweet California sauce, along with a side of garlic noodles. The Sweet California sauce is what keeps me returning. It's not your typical Cajun seafood boil sauce--it has a unique flavor that's completely its own and sets this place apart from every other seafood boil restaurant I've tried. Depending on when you visit, the restaurant can either be packed or nearly empty. It's a smaller space, and large parties tend to come through often, so wait times can vary. One thing to keep in mind is that the host, server, and food runner are often the same person. Because of that, I always try to give them some grace. If you need something, just let them know, and they'll do their best to take care of you as quickly as possible. Don't let the small exterior fool you--this place is absolutely delicious. Whether it's 11 a.m. or 3 a.m., I'll happily find myself back here for another seafood boil.

This place gets pretty busy so just keep in mind you might have to wait before getting seated. As for food, we ordered the 3lb combo (1 crawfish, 2 shrimp) in sweet California mild, rice, fries and grilled oysters. The combo came out pretty fast. I really love this sweet California sauce- it's creamy and delicious. I would even try medium since I hardly taste the spice for a mild. The fries and grilled oyster took a while to come out. Fries were good. The grilled oysters were yummy but I don't think I'd order them again. Service can be a bit slow. I would ask them for more limes or a bowl and they would forget and I would have to ask them again. However, I will say the workers here are very kind! Overall, good food, ok service - definitely coming back!

The garlic fries were cooked to the perfect level of crispiness, while the lobster garlic noodles were flavorful, savory, and packed with garlic goodness. The seafood itself was fresh and good quality, but I found the House Special Mild sauce a little underwhelming. I was hoping for more depth and flavor, but most of what I tasted was a mild kick of heat. While it wasn't bad, it didn't have the rich, buttery, and well-seasoned flavor profile that I typically look for in a seafood boil sauce. Service was great throughout our visit. We were seated promptly, our food arrived quickly, and any requests we had were fulfilled without issue. The staff was attentive and made the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. I also appreciated the restaurant's nautical theme. The decor featured fishing nets, ship-inspired accents, and other sea-themed elements that helped create a fun and immersive atmosphere. Overall, I'm glad we gave this place a try. The garlic noodles and fries were delicious, and the service was excellent. While I would probably choose other seafood boil spots in the future, this was still a solid experience and worth trying at least once.

Too bad you can't add to the waitlist beforehand. We ended up getting seated at our table around 7:50pm This location is not as big as the other SJ location but it is slightly less busy than that one since it's further out. They have a white board near the door that lists the seafood that they're out of for the day, which is helpful to note. The seafood boil came out hot and within 10 mins but we felt like it wasn't marinaded into the seafood, potato's and corn enough. Portion and spice wise was perfect though. I was really disappointed with our visit. I haven't been to The Boiling Crab in years--probably 7…read moreyears or more. One reason is that I don't live in the San Jose area anymore, and another is that there are now so many seafood boil spots around since Boiling Crab really started the trend. One positive right away: there was no long wait. We arrived around 8pm and were seated immediately, which was great. I remember the days when we'd have to put our name down and walk around Target while waiting for our table. I do wish they offered combo bags like a lot of other seafood boil places do now, since that's always a hit. Instead, we ordered 3 pounds of shrimp with whole-sha-bang sauce in mild. The shrimp themselves were great--nice and big, not the tiny peanut-sized ones you sometimes get. The flavor was also really good. However, the "mild" tasted much spicier than I remembered. From past visits, mild always had a small kick but was still pretty manageable. This honestly tasted closer to medium. My boyfriend politely asked one of the servers if he could get a small side of garlic butter because the sauce was spicier than expected. She immediately responded that it would be $5 for extra sauce, and the way it was said came off pretty rude. We understand that there's an option to make the bag "extra saucy" for an additional charge, but he wasn't asking for extra sauce for the whole bag--just a small side to balance out the spice. Even a simple response like "I'm sorry it came out spicier than expected" would have gone a long way. I've worked in customer service for over 15 years, and I've always believed in "kill them with kindness." We weren't rude at all--we just mentioned that it seemed spicier than mild. In the end, we decided to just skip the extra sauce. Again, the flavor was still good, but to me this definitely tasted more like medium. When we got our check, a different server asked how everything was. My boyfriend mentioned that the sauce was spicier than mild, and she responded with, "Oh no, I'm sorry it wasn't exactly what you wanted." We told her it wasn't her fault since we had already mentioned it earlier, and she just gave us a sympathetic look. Overall, the food itself was good, and I'd probably give it a 4 for taste, but the lack of customer service knocked the experience down for me. I understand it was later in the evening and they still had a full lobby, but a little kindness and attentiveness would have made a big difference.

My boyfriend and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for some lunch, and we got a table after waiting about 2-3 minutes. It was pretty busy. We took our time looking at the menu, but not a single team member approached us asking if we were ready to order. I pressed the call server button two times and on the third time, I had to verbally called out someone that we were ready. It's understandable to a certain extent because the restaurant is busy, you'd need to run back and forth, take your time. However, they were sitting more customers down, and forgetting to check on the customers that already sat down. Also, it doesn't help the fact that we were sat in front of the kitchen and in front of the cashier where multiple servers were mostly standing around, so it's unacceptable that no one came to check on us after multiple calls. Fast forward, we ordered, we got our food. The food here is good, and it's actually one of my favorite pho spots in the area. The soup is good and Phở Đặc Biệt is always my go to. At the end, we were talking and eating still and a server just came up to us and dropped the bill without a single word. Not a "whenever you're ready," or anything. We felt disrespected. I've been a server before, and this is just not how you'd treat your customers. Unfortunately I will not be coming back and it's really sad that the food is good but the service is horrible. I strongly encourage management to look into this and make improvements among the staff.

I'm used to typical straightforward nature at markets, but their attitude is something else. I was constantly berated while looking at mangos near the door. Literally the whole time, an employee was standing right next to me and nagging me as if I was about to topple all the fruit off the stand or completely obstructing the door. I wasn't, and it's absolutely normal to sort through and select fruit? These mangos are EXPENSIVE, I don't want to just blindly pick a box. When I asked if I should pay outside or inside at the cashier (since some grocers will have you pay for outside merchandise, outside), she rudely asked if I was blind and couldn't see the cashier. I asked the cashier about this behavior (in Vietnamese) and was entirely ignored. Literally not a single word said. Not sure why I hadn't just left at this point, but I bought 6 large, rather expensive, boxes. I truly regret it because even THEN, they made me feel like a nuisance for setting them down outside as I carried them 2-by-2 to my car on the other side of the parking lot. There are no carts and I'm not exactly the strongest body builder out there, not sure what they expected of me. I regret spending my money here. There are plenty other stores in the area for tropical fruit, with better prices and better service.
