Food is pretty good. The drive thru takes forever. I can't comment on the ambiance from sitting in the parking lot 20+ mins with a handful of cars in front of me. Update I just realized I've been in the drive thru for nearly 40 minutes and will probably end up being here for an hour. Maybe I should have just walked inside. The point of doing drive thru is to have gone quicker but I was obviously wrong. I've ordered tacos at other restaurants from the drive thru that have not taken this long. Came on a Tuesday because I saw they had a Tuesday deal and a drive thru. Having a toddler in car I loved the convenience. We got there right before a rush so I could tell it was popular. I got a bunch of tacos such as plain asada for my toddler, then got carnitas, a pastor and more asada. I also got a quesadilla and rice and beans all for around 30 bucks. My toddler ate all her food. Normally the tortillas are left but she cleaned her plate. I guess that means we are coming back. I enjoyed the tacos too. read more

I ordered a super burrito and two tacos al pastor, and the total came out to $18, which is very affordable compared to other places. Did someone say Taco Tuesday!! and now Thursday We stopped by during the grand opening a few months back & have been here two more times. Corner location with some indoor seating but mainly everyone uses the drive thru or takes it to go. We grabbed a few tacos of Carne Asada, Pollo, Chorizo & Tripas con todo and a Sope de carne asada. Each offer their own flavors with plenty of meat & toppings. Today the Sope & taco de Tripas was the favorite. I did order fries hoping for crispy but they were not, so it will be the 1st & only time I get them. Menu has a variety of food options, drive thru gets busy and inside can sometimes get crowded but staff is all working hard to get you your order pretty quickly from each avenue. On a whim I stopped by and went through the drive thru to get takeout for dinner. I ordered my kid a regular burrito with chicken, rice, and beans. It's a huge burrito and the super burrito for my husband was only slightly bigger. I took a bite of my kids burrito and something was super salty- possibly the chicken. Also, super annoying that they don't give you salsa on the side. I should have read the reviews ahead of time to request it, but come on?! I have never been to a taqueria that was stingy and didn't ask you. They could even charge for it bit at least offer! I ordered quesa birrias and they were okay. Safe to say I don't think I would be back given the dozen or so other taquieras on the same street. read more

If you're thirsty, you should try the Jamaica (hibiscus) Agua Fresca. It tastes more concentrated than what I've had elsewhere and has a nice tartness. Perfect for hot days! Service is good. We were looking up places for Taco Tuesdays and stumbled upon his restaurant! It was $1.50 per taco for most meats! The line wasn't busy but there were waves of people at this small place. I got the birria, pastor, and chorizo tacos. They were really saucy and I wished there were two layers of tortillas to help support the tacos. Birria was nice and tender and not your typical Birria taco. Chorizo was a bit salty in my opinion but it was cooked pretty nicely. This place has the most delicious fresh home tasting food they have a drive through it's a small indoor seating but table are apart to give it's privacy and space to each group of people or person the cashier DAYA was very attentive with my order as always normally go through the drive through window at night. A new Taquería opened up in the Alum Rock neighborhood with Taco Tuesday and Taco Thursday specials for $1.50 each! Located right off King and Alum Rock, where El Chalateco used to be, is this new restaurant with some daily taco specials. The parking lot is about 2 dozen spots. You can order via a drive thru window too. When you walk in, you will order from a kiosk so no need to talk to a human until you receive your order. You put in your phone number and will be texted when it's ready. I did a to go order but there were other diners sitting at the tables enjoying their tacos right away. Now onto the taste, the tacos were hella bomb! They don't skimp out on the meat either. Just because it was cheap, does not mean that they kept the experience cheap. I think their tacos are regularly $2.50 and even that is good bang for your buck in today's time. The food is absolutely delicious and I see myself going back for more in the future. In the past, we've came and really enjoyed the service and food- however recently, they've in increased in price. Normally, I wouldn't mind because the food is good, but it all adds up when they are charging for every little change made to the food. Me and my family don't eat red meat, so we substitute for chicken (which is cheaper in most cases) however they charge for a change to a cheaper meat! I was the only customer in the drive through and there were no customers inside the restaurant, so I'm wondering why the food I ordered "2 burritos, a side of rice n beans" was cold. I only live maybe 3 mins down the street if the food was served hot it would still be warm and enjoyable to eat, on top of that why are the servers so stingy with the hot sauces? Went again today! Bumped my review to 5 stars! It was absolutely delicious, the asada is so flavorful and juicy. The meat ratio is amazing, they put so much meat and double the tortillas! The tortillas were perfectly toasted!! The service was amazing, we got our food in around 5 minutes or less and the workers here are so kind! Definitely my favorite taco spot in San Jose now!! Been keeping an eye on this place and they are finally opened. They have a drive thru which is definitely a plus! Small insides so makes sense for the drive thru. They have taco Tuesdays which is what I went for.. ordered the cabeza, pastor and buche. My favorite was the buche but they were all good. On weekends they have pazole, birria, and menudo which I need to try out one day. Lots of stuff on their menu as well as many different types of meats. Can't wait to come again. read more

Food tastes good! Love the carne asada fries with the nacho cheese, que rico! And Taco Tuesdays don't disappoint. The tacos are filled up with all the goodies. Note, that Taco Tuesday nights do get busy. I go often on Tuesdays and so far all the staff has been professional and friendly. The Mexican rice is always soft y los frijoles fritos no están secos, muy ricos! But, the best thing about this place is that it's a drive thru taqueria! We order four plates of tacos, queso birria, rice and beans. We tried the chicken and Pastor. Each were very flavorful and moist. We dined inside small, cozy, and music playing.
