Aguachiles Verde

The aguachile was very yummy and spicy my homegirl raaaaved abt the caldo de 7 mares. The wait was a little too long tho which def was a downfall

Michelada and mango margarita

They have good mariscos, drinks and Mexican food. The service was also good, they were fast and attentive. They checked in a couple times if we were doing okay. The ambiance is lively, they have indoor and outdoor seating available with TVs all around. They also have daily deal specials, different for every day of the week and the prices were reasonable. We enjoyed everything we tried. The mango margarita was so flavorful and a good portion for the price. We had the shrimp ceviche, carne asada plate, grilled salmon plate with garlic plate (you can customize and request how you want your fish cooked), the mojarra frita was a good size and it was delicious too. It was their special on Mondays and it only came out to $9.

My Chile relleno plate.

I was honestly very surprised at the portion of my plate and how quickly the food is prepared once ordered. I really enjoy the frijoles, the chile relleno tasted even better the next day for left overs. The portions, in general, were very good. The only downside was that on this night there was only one waitress. It just meant a bit of a longer wait to be seated and attended to.

Cozy little spot. Family own restaurant that serves fresh food. The food comes out quick and service was friendly.

This place is a hidden treasure. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp, so delicious. Will definitely be back.

Delicious food, a must checking into if you're in the area. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp, so good!

I came to this restaurant because I saw them in my instagram feed. So for 5 de Mayo I too my family to give this place a chance especially since it's in my neighborhood. But I must say service was horrendous. As soon as we walked in we were never greeted although two young ladies including Tatiana saw us standing there by the entrance but said absolutely nothing. Not a welcome, for how many, let me get your name NOTHING. We waited for 20 mins standing there. I had to approach the waitress and she seemed bothers. She gave us a table. We waited to order out our drinks 15 mins after no drinks no waitress. Luckily we were helped by two young men that I am sure saw the need to help out with the tables. Because of them we got our drinks. We he then took our order and we waited for another 20 mins this was insane. We had to get the bill without our food and we decided to leave. The two young ladies need customer service training. I will not come back. This was a waste of time.

Aguachiles - spicy ! Yummy !

We commute 25 miles from the SFV to Maria's and in LA traffic specially the 405 that's a mission but the Mariscos here are well worth it! Michoacana and proud! I grew up eating mariscos in Playa Azul and this hut set up and delicious seafood takes me back to easier and better times. Mojarra Frita- Perfection!! Served with rice and beans , side salad and I of course added French fries cuz u can't have mojarra frita without papas! Rice + Beans - Mexican stamp of approval ! Aguachiles- spicy spicy spicy with huge fresh shrimp, fresh cucumber and yummy avocado. Camarones a la plancha - just order these ! Great customer service, hard people giving it their all and it shows in their food and great attitude.

Good food for a great price. I've had many dishes here, but their molcajete mixto is my favorite. If you're going to have a beer, definitely get a Michelada. I also love the fact that I can play my music on their local system & listen to my rancheras. Overall, it's a great place!

Oh wow. I found this place by accident; honestly, just driving past and couldn't find a place I wanted to stop at, saw the sign, did a u-turn and parked and in I went. The waitress was friendly and attentive, the polla con plancha (grilled chicken and french fries) was honestly superb. Inexpensive, huge portion, and delicious. I just wish I found this place before i started my diet. Seriously good Mexican food, reasonably priced, and friendly waitress. 10/10 in my book.

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

Located between Koreatown and Pico-Union, this restaurant delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you're seated. My wife and I both ordered the Mole Coloradito with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious. One detail we really appreciated was being able to choose between white meat or dark meat--a thoughtful touch that lets you customize your meal to your preference. The mole was rich, complex, and full of flavor, exactly what you would hope for from a restaurant known for its Oaxacan specialties. As a welcome appetizer, they bring fresh chips and salsa to the table, but what really impressed us was when they replaced the salsa with their incredible mole sauce. It was so good we found ourselves dipping everything into it. Both meals were served with rice that was perfectly cooked with a great consistency and flavor. For those feeling adventurous, give the Chapulines (grasshoppers) a try. They may sound intimidating, but they were surprisingly enjoyable and added to the authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and patient with those of us who are not fluent in Spanish. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and welcomed throughout our visit. Great food, authentic flavors, and wonderful service make Guelaguetza a restaurant we'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended!

As soon as you walk up the stairwell you'll be transported into this super cute place with an outdoor-indoor feel, almost like an elegant treehouse. We were seated on the second level which provided a Birds Eye view of the restaurant. We ordered a few items to share: Cameron ceviche, flautas and for our sweet tooth, French toast paired with a mango sorbet surprise with a candle for our birthdays (tip: we drizzled the melted sorbet on our French toast and took small scoops with each bite - game changer!). Everything was so delicious! We also ordered mocktails, a miche-nada for him and a lemony drink for me. This experience wouldn't have been as great without the exceptional service we had. Our waters were always refilled without asking, our tables were cleaned with every dish, honestly top-notch service! Parking can be a bit challenging but drive around a few blocks and you'll find a few spaces. Worth the walk after an incredible meal. Happy eating!

While it is definitely on the pricier side, the flavors are extremely unique and delicious, making it worth the splurge for a special night out. My only real bummer was discovering they took the vegan ceviche off the menu--that was actually the whole reason I came back! I'm sure they have their reasons, but I was pretty disheartened to see it go. Overall, the menu doesn't have a ton of vegan items, but they do have some room for adjustments if you ask. Despite the menu change, the incredible atmosphere and unique menu still make it a must-try.

Hollenbeck was good but I definitely enjoyed the Okie burrito more, I ordered the "original" size once and didn't seem to learn my lesson the second time, these burritos can feed two in Original size. They offer a "Mini" version which would be satisfactory for one person. My favorite thing about these burritos is how "home-made" they are, the salsas and meats are fresh and taste like they came out of an abuelitas kitchen. I still need to try the crunchy tacos and nachos which look great, I recommend trying this classic establishment at least once if you're in the area.

The seafood is insanely fresh, the flavors are bright and clean, and you can taste how much care goes into every detail. The ceviches and tostadas are my go-tos but honestly l've never had something here I didn't love. Everything is beautifully plated, super vibrant, and the portions are perfect for sharing (though you'll definitely want to order more than you think). It's light but still satisfying, and I always leave feeling. good, not heavy. Pro tip! If you don't feel like waiting in the long line (which can get wild), here's the move: skip it and head straight to the counter. If there's an open seat, grab it and order right there. You'll get your food way faster, and in my opinion it's the best seat in the house. You get to watch the team plate everything with so much precision-it's lowkey mesmerizing. You'll feel like you're part of the action and the food always comes out hot and fresh. Holbox is inside Mercado La Paloma, which already has a fun energy, but this spot is the star for me. The sea bass entree was good and had a beautiful presentation, it was also nice for sharing, but the number of bones to pick out was a little annoying. That's what you get with ordering a full fish though! Not their fault. The pulpo tacos were tasty too, I love their handmade blue tortillas. But probably my least favorite of the bunch.
