Fish Tacos *Note: $1.25 on Tuesdays!
    james B.

$1.25 Fish Taco Tuesdays!!! I seriously can't believe I've never been here for their Fish Taco Tuesdays. The fish is freshly battered to a crunchy, meaty morsel of heaven. If I could give this fine establishment 6 stars I would. The tacos are served on street taco sided tortillas with a bed of thinly cut cabbage under two decent sized pieces of crunchy fish all topped with what I believe is in house made tartar sauce. And no I'm not paid to do this review, but would except fish tacos as payment. Wink wink They also serve shrimp cocktail, shrimp soup, fish fillet plates and dinner plates of various seafood options of all the little mermaids friends. If you like battered fish tacos then this place is calling your name. The restaurant is located very near the intersection of Norwalk & Washington Blvd in West Whittier.

My second time ordering pick up. I ordered 2 fish tacos, a shrimp ceviche. My food was decent. My husband ordered a fish and shrimp burrito (mixed) I never seen him not finish a burrito even if he didn't really care for it. He had me smell the burrito and it did smell fishy not a good smell. He didn't finish the burrito, said it tasted like it smelled. So guess we probably won't go back. Service was ok.

This is my go to for whenever I'm home and am craving some delicious and fresh mariscos. I've never been let down ordering ceviche and/or aguachiles from here and the beers are always cold! The staff is friendly and are amazing help with the charrolas(trays) if you're wanting to be everyone's favorite dish bringer at the potluck!

Mojarra a la Diabla, buen sazón y rica salsa diabla! Food is good, michelada was okay 3 out of 5 stars for me. The service is okay, I would have kept drinking if they would have came to check on me, waited on an empty beer before I decided to leave. Next time, I'll make sure to tell the waitresses to keep them coming.

Stopped by for lunch and had our dog, so they gave us the option to sit outside. It was a cool gesture because although they had a tent, it was not set up for lunch as the crowd was pretty small. Given we were outside the service was excellent as she checked on us often and the food was out quickly. Food was very good. We were in the mood for cocteles but my favorite mariscos place in Pico was closed (El Oasis) due to a fire so looked up Yelp for the next best option and here we are. We ordered a large pulpo cocktail and a large campechana with 3 oysters. The freshness and flavors were there with the option to add ketchup if you want a sweeter broth or hot sauce for those who like it spicy. Why not 5 stars? When it comes to cocktails, there are at least two other options that I prefer within a couple of miles. Mariscos El Oaisis and El Paisa. Oasis' broth is already perfect and doesn't need much more than tapatio from me. El Paisa has a basic broth to doctor up as well, but has a peppery base which I love. Paisa also includes oysters in their campechana and doesn't charge extra. Don't get me wrong, for the price (even with extra for oysters) it was a huge and well worth the price. Also with the addition of ketchup and tapatio, tasted really good. Some other pluses are that they give you free chips and salsa as well as both crackers and chips for the cocktails. I hate to choose. Plan to be back next time in the neighborhood and give some other options a try as they have a pretty large selection of seafood.

Camarones a la cucaracha - SUPER SALTY!! Difficult to eat

The service is friendly and courteous. The caldo de pescado was good, but the shrimp a la cucaracha was not. The sauce was very salty and difficult to eat.

I probably come here at least 2 times a month! That's how good it is!…read more Located in Whittier hides a fish grill place. I kid you not every time we come here we get the same things plus more (sometimes). I always get the off the grill plate. My choice of fish is always Basa. For the seasoning you can get lemon pepper or Cajun. And it automatically comes with salad and rice with butter and choice of dressing. Oh and they include a few triangles of pita bread. The service is always amazing. They do get sometimes busy and it's sometimes a 1 woman show taking the orders and giving the orders but she's a doll! There's probably at least 3 TVs playing sports. Go Dodgers! They have a wide variety of Dodger bobble heads and memorabilia all over it. Oh and there's also an outdoor area along with heaters!

The menu has a good variety of food and drinks, so there are plenty of options to choose from. Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed with the food. It felt like it was missing something. I tried adding lemon, their house sauces, and hot sauce, but the fish and calamari still tasted pretty bland. I ordered the fish tacos and the fried calamari strips, and neither had much flavor. The portions were also on the smaller side, so I didn't feel like the price matched the amount or quality of the food. I'd have to give it a 6/10 at best. The staff was very friendly and attentive despite the food.

Boston Lobster is the best Chinese restaurant in the SGV! This restaurant has delicious food,…read morewonderful service, and the ambiance is good. Here are the dishes we ordered: House special lobster with noodles: 5/5 ( the star of this place) Pan fried beef noodles: 5/5 Kung pao chicken: 5/5 Tofu with brown sauce: 5/5 Chow fun noodles: 4/5 Vegetable dishes: 4/5 Fish fillet: 3/5 Pork chop spicy salt: 5/5 Mapo tofu: 4/5 Shrimp with eggs: 4/5 My favorite dish was the house lobster with noodles. It's really why I came here. There was so much meat from the lobster and the noodles were a great addition to the dish. So flavorful and delicious! If you come between 11:30-4:45pm, you can get the lunch special items. The portions were actually huge for the price you're paying. It's available 7 days a week. It's so worth it! I would definitely come back here especially for the delicious food, reasonable prices and exceptional service.

We dined here last night for the first time from a friend's recommendation. The house special crab…read moreand fried calamari were pretty yummy, but not very happy with how our food was handled... One of the dish we ordered was the house special sauce crab with market price of ~$26 per pound. We added the noodles for $10. Normal practice the server should come and advise on the size of our crab before making so we can choose how big the crab we want for our dish, because we're paying by pound for the dish anyway... but within 2 minutes of placing the order, a crab dish arrived... HA! Problem 1: The server originally tried to give the crab dish to the table next to us and the folks refused the dish... then the server turned around and placed the dish onto our table for us. CLEARLY they made a mistake and made the wrong dish for next table and decide to not waste food and gave it to us. We asked if that was really our dish and they said yes... what a lie! The kitchen took 2 mins to cook our dish? haha...dumb! Next table was there before us and their house special lobster noodles arrived 10-15 minutes later. First they made a mistake, then tried to lie to cover it up. No one is stupid here. We would have been ok if they were honest about it and ask if we would accept that dish with no complain here. Problem 2: The table next to us got their plates changed multiple times and NOT once did someone came to check on us about changing plates. Problem 3: Our bill came. They charged our crab as 2.5 pounds. What a joke! I'm a crab person. I know my crabs. That tiny crab is probably around 1.5 pounds - 2 pounds max. (Check out the picture to see the small crab shell and the tiny pieces of the crab legs and meat pieces on the edge of the plate). The $10 they charged for noodles was a huge portion, but that is not the same value as 1 pound of crab that they overcharged us for the dish. The house special crab was pretty tasty and we like the fried calamari. The veggie was decent and soup was pretty weak... our bill was $150 and I tipped $20 for the experience. Be grateful and work on improving your practice
