On our way to Cambria my family and I stopped by to have a light lunch. What a beautiful place. The view is incredible overlooking the ocean. Seating outside on the patio was perfect on this sunny day in Pismo Beach. We walked in and were greeted with a smile. The hostess seated us within ten minutes. The waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered an iced cold spritz which was so delicious. I enjoyed every sip. We ordered three starters to share with our drinks. Wings, ahi tuna and guacamole. Very average food. Nothing crazy delicious and not bad either. The ambiance was great so we enjoyed our starters and drinks ... overall beautiful oceanfront restaurant right next to the hotel.

Mediocre service today. Everything went horribly slow and we were barely checked on. I overheard someone say they were understaffed so hopefully this was just a fluke but I've never had service this bad at the Cliffs and it wasn't busy at all. Hope they can get back to what they were....

Our lunch experience at Marísol was fantastic. If you're unsure what to order, a phenomenal server like Andrew S is always valuable. I was very impressed with the Shell Beach Spritz cocktail that Andrew S recommended. It was not only beautiful to look at, but also delicious. We tried the Cliff's prime burger, the garden omelet, the lamb, the bagel & smoked salmon, and the French toast with three drinks. Each dish was wonderful. My husband and I particularly enjoyed the lamb lollipops and the brûléed banana French toast the most. The bacon accompaniment with the French toast is probably the best in the world. It was crisp and the high-quality meat was perfectly cooked. My husband praised it highly. All in all, this restaurant offers a stunning ocean view and excellent food. The friendly and attentive service team made our dining experience memorable. My mother-in-law was very satisfied with her complimentary surprise birthday cake with a candle.

We came here two times as we stayed at the hotel. Enjoyed drinks on our first day and later came for dinner. We came in for drinks when we were waiting for our room to be ready. They give you some delicious corn nuts with Tajín and lime. So yummy! For dinner we had lettuce wraps which were pretty good. The chicken tinga flautas were ok. When I saw Tinga for me I was expecting a chipotle flavored chicken but it was just chicken not bad just not what tinga I know is. Good portion and nice addition with the pickled onions. It is a bit on the pricier side for the food. They have some happy hour items we didn't get to try but looked good. We will deff try other items when we come back. The spritzer was the best drink. The margarita didn't have a lot of flavor just strong alcohol which not complaining just not what I was expecting. Service was good at the bar and in the dining area. It wasn't ever too busy which was nice as it was pretty relaxing to sit and enjoy the nice view.

On a recent staycation, we went in search of dig friendly breakfast places. Not only does Marisol have a dog friendly patio, they have a menu of items for your furry friends. Our pups thoroughly enjoyed sharing a beef & rice dish. I am a lover of sweet breakfast options and they have a French toast dish reminiscent of bananas Foster, with bruleed bananas. The dish came with sausage--it was all delicious!! My husband loved his traditional egg and bacon breakfast, and commented on really liking getting a side dish of condiments (jam, butter, catsup, etc). Staff were very friendly and treated us (and our dogs) very well. The views of the ocean from our patio seating could not be beat. We will definitely be back!!

Filet mignon burrito, very refried bean heavy. Under seasoned

Not great at all. The 2 stars are for the view, beautiful view of the ocean outside. However it can definitely get cold. Food is below average. The filet mignon breakfast burrito, all you taste is refried beans. Very bland, needed way more seasoning. The special halibut fish and chips came with a super weird horse-radish flavored salsa, I was not expecting that. Also came with a pico de gallo. Hard to try and scoop salsas with fish and chips. They also originally brought out fish tacos when she ordered fish and chips so the fiancé had to wait for her food to be fixed. The drinks were forgot about, I asked for them after the food finally came out. The Bloody Mary was a 4/10, not good. Our server came once every 20 minutes, if that. I kept bothering Lance from another table, he really helped us out. Only good thing was the bacon. Would not return.

Don't come here unless you're staying at the Cliffs and want to pay a lot for subpar food. We got the fish tacos and the quinoa avocado salad with chicken. The battered fish in the tacos seemed previously frozen and had no flavor. The breading was soggy and did not have that satisfying crunch. The toppings on the tacos were very tasty and helped cover up the blandness of the fish. The tortillas were also a bit cold and broke easily. The quinoa avocado salad was decent, but the upcharge for chicken isn't worth it. The chicken was dry and we didn't get very much for a ten dollar upcharge. I did enjoy the dressing on the salad though, and the salad was plated nicely. The service was a bit slow and nothing great. We often felt forgot about. The ambiance was really nice. There's a beautiful view of the ocean from the patio. Pick this place if you care more about views than your dining experience.

Came here for the Valentine's dinner special. It was $125 per person for a five course meal (but it really felt like it was 3.5 course meal). For the first course, I got the oysters (disappointed that it was only 3 pieces and they were really small). Next was a small bite to enhance the taste of the entrée meal which was a filet mignon. The filet mignon was really good, I've got to give them that. Then we were given sorbet which was delicious but again small portion. The last course was a dessert buffet, that was great. Enjoyed most of the desserts! We also ordered drinks. Another thing was that, our waiter offered us coffees without mentioning that it was extra cost and we thought it was complimentary given the way he was offering it. Nonetheless, it was a good experience, but wouldn't go back.

I was here on a work trip, and we stayed here. The restaurant is situated on the cliffs and is part of the Cliff's hotel. So the views here are absolutely breathtaking. We ordered carnitas tacos and steak chilaquiles and both dishes were absolutely delicious and bursting with flavors. The steak was cooked to perfection and the carnitas were moist and tender! Highly recommend these dishes! Our waiter was amazing, he was helpful, tentative, and efficient. He suggested the steak versus the shrimp that comes with the chilaquiles. He also brought us a side of jalapeños, salsa, and hot sauce without us requesting for it which was pretty impressive because that was very thoughtful. He also brought out two complimentary shortbread cookies!! That definitely made our experience even better! Highly recommend Marisol if you are ever in Pismo Beach!

As a Spa member, I dine here often. Most of my experiences have been great. Food is always exceptional. My burger always comes med rare and fries crispy. I love their calamari and seafood dishes. I try to avoid dinner times because they do get busy and service is much slower. The blonde bartender is amazing and makes my drinks just the way I like it. My only complaint is that the menu changes and I miss when they had brunch and pizzas. Overall, a great place to dine with a beautiful view.

    Rose for Mother's Day

For Mother's Day Brunch, they gave all the moms a rose! My husband made a reservation here to celebrate and we had a great view of the ocean at the patio. I ordered their special on the menu that had lobster on it! Service was friendly. I had a very great brunch and can't wait to come back! Don't forget to walk down to the tide pools that is next to the resort.

This place was awesome with the breathtaking view of the bluff and beach. We had the prime burger and the Thai chicken lettuce wrap. They had a great selection of wines too. Would like to acknowledge Lance's service who waited on us. This is a go to place for great food, service and ambiance on Pismo beach.

Ian took care of my mom so well he made her birthday so special. Thanks Ian!

We were staying in the hotel and dined here and the combined experience reminded me of the ritz carlton at halfmoon bay. The service was top notch! Our server Ian made us feel so welcome and he took care of my mom like the queen that she is! The food was great! The calamari was light but crispy my mom got to the fish tacos and they were delicious! Will definitely come back in the summer both in the hotel and the restaurant!

They accommodated making my breakfast right at the end of their breakfast service and held it for me while I finished my massage at the spa, which I truly appreciated because I was really craving breakfast and not lunch! Unfortunately, the execution of the dish fell short. The poached eggs were fully cooked through instead of being traditionally runny. The hollandaise sauce itself was actually great--very creamy with good flavor--but it couldn't save the crab cakes. I honestly couldn't tell what was in the cakes; they just tasted fried, like potatoes, and I couldn't detect any crab flavor at all.As for the sides, the hash browns had a perfect texture--wonderfully crispy on the outside and soft in the center--but they were completely missing any salt or seasoning and had no flavor. Great service, but the kitchen needs to step up the seasoning and actual crab content for the price.

We had a reservation for a birthday dinner and arrived about 30 minutes early. We were told we'd be seated closer to our reservation time, which was completely understandable. Even after our reservation time had passed, we had to check in with the host again before we were finally seated, despite there being plenty of empty tables. The service at the front definitely could have been handled better. The food, on the other hand, was very good with a great variety of options. I loved that they start you off with freshly made tortillas, cinnamon butter, and salsa to share. I ordered the Campechana de Mariscos, which was fresh, generously portioned, and perfect for sharing. We also had the Molcajete, and it was delicious! It came with a great mix of steak, chicken, chorizo, jumbo shrimp, nopal, and cheese. The portion was generous and easily enough for two people. Other dishes we ordered also included the pozole, chicken nachos, and lobster mac and cheese. Everything was delicious as well! The mac and cheese especially. For drinks, I tried the Golden Hour nonalcoholic cocktail, and unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. It tasted like watered-down ginger beer with no carbonation and only the faintest hint of pineapple. It was more on the bitter taste. Overall, this is a great restaurant for the ocean views and flavorful food. The portions are generous, and there's something for everyone on the menu. My order was ready at 6:53, so we were looking at about a 23 minute wait - which I think is fair given how busy it was. The food itself was just okay to me. I didn't think it was anything to write home about, but that could be because I had some really great tri tip at the SLO Farmer's Market the day before. However, I will say, I really liked this place for the environment. There was live music, and a lot of table and chairs to just look out at the water and just enjoy the views. It was super family friendly, and I found it to be really enjoyable to just sit and hang out. I did find it odd that they close early (8pm) on a Friday night. At 7:59pm, the employees will come up to you to let you know that they close at 8pm, so it seems like they are strict about that.

A must-stop, in Pismo Beach!…read more Every time we return to Pismo Beach, we have to make a stop at Zorros for breakfast (they are open for lunch and dinner too)! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by Eric at the door -- and it's always nice when the first person you see makes you feel welcome. He walked us to our table, chatted with us, and even remembered us from 7 months ago, including where we sat! It seems like remembering guests is a theme in this town, and we love that hometown feeling. This visit, I made sure to take photos of the food, and we also left with a bag full of their homemade salsa and hot sauce. I only wish they sold these at grocery stores back home in Los Angeles because we would definitely buy them! Thankfully they ship!!! Melissa was our server and was wonderful -- friendly, attentive, and very accommodating with my husband's dairy allergy. My husband ordered the vegetarian burrito, and wow... it was packed with fresh green veggies you could literally see through the tortilla - my see photos! I asked Melissa for a recommendation between the shredded chicken burrito and the carne asada burrito, and she suggested the carne asada. I took her advice and ordered it as a wet burrito with sour cream -- and it did not disappoint! We love the friendly service, the homemade flavors, and the welcoming atmosphere at Zorros. We're already looking forward to our next visit to Pismo Beach and another breakfast here!

Came in without reservations around 7:00pm and hostesses said it would be about a 30 min wait - they were both very friendly and offered any available seats at the bar as we waited. Pretty sure we ended up getting seated before 30 min and our waitress, Lizzie, came right up to ask for any drinks, brought us warm bread, and was back with our waters and drinks really fast! She took our order (gave us the extra time we needed to make up our mind without feeling rushed), set us up with small plates since we were sharing everything we ordered and in no time brought our food right out. We ordered: **Mussels but with the garlic/wine/butter sauce - We did not want that sauce to go to waste once we ate all the mussels. Lizzie gave us another basket of bread to get every last drip! **Dozen of the fresh oysters - They were so fresh and sweet! **Bowl of Clam Chowder - Yummm! Perfect thickness and seasoned perfectly **Fish and Chips - the fish was soooo fresh and melted in your mouth! **Seafood pasta - so good! Sauce was thicker than what I've but in a good way and covered the noodles magnificently! A good amount of seafood was in the dish - the scallops were the best! All in all, it was a great dinner! Food was on point, service was great throughout - very attentive and friendly, atmosphere was lively, price is very reasonable for the quality and amount of food we ordered. We will be definitely be back and would totally recommend this place to anyone visiting Pismo!
