What a nice place Great wines. Friendly and friendly bartenders. Vibrant atmosphere. Bartenders know how to engage customers. It's a fun place not to be missed! Mike was engaging and explained all the wines. Extremely personable and its apparent he loves his work!

Really enjoyed their wines, staff was so friendly!! We purchased a bottle of the "Flux"

You will love this winery. A wine tasting costs $20 but it is absolutely worth it (and they'll surely waive the fee with a purchase as they are remarkably friendly). There is also a chocolate pairing to go with the wine tasting which I did not have but I'm sure would be great. A main reason you will love this winery is the excellent service. They are knowledgable, attentive and will adjust your tasting to meet your needs/preferences. On top of that, the wine is fantastic. I personally loved the Riesling, which was one of the best wines on my vacation and of which I ended up buying a bottle (and even considered purchasing a case). After our tasting and buying the wines, our server surprised us with a complementary sample of the reserve Cabernet (a $195 bottle). It may have been the best wine I have ever had! A definite must visit when in Napa!

If you're a wine snob keep looking, this isn't the place for you!! This did not strike me as a typical Napa Valley vineyard and I appreciated it. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. Yes, there are quite a few sex references but it wasn't obnoxious in any way. The gal behind the counter was fun, light hearted and attractive and made the experience entertaining. They have a special menu of their 3 sweetest wines and I loved all 3. The first was a Riesling which was crisp and delicious. The other two were reds and the last was so sweet I nearly choked. It would be delicious on a cold winter night. Overall I loved this place and we may come back tonight once our tour is over!!

We came here on recommendation from our Bed & Breakfast, and it was a wonderful experience. Rachel was our pourer and she was so friendly, fun, and knowledgeable. She was also very accommodating- I don't enjoy red wine, so she substituted different wines for me to try. Eric was there helping as well. You HAVE to get the chocolate pairings. They are incredible. It costs $18 and it is worth every penny. The chocolates pair perfectly, and are delicious on their own as well. They are made exclusively for Mark Herold and made the experience perfect. We even bought a box to go because it was just that good. You also have to try the Riesling! It was my favorite out of everything we had in Napa Valley. We had a great experience and are looking forward to enjoying our wine!

Unique chocolates paired with the wine flight. So delicious.

We were in Napa for our friends wedding and we decided to make a pit stop to try some wine at Mark Herold because we had heard some good things. Boy were we impressed when we walked in the door. This place has such a cool vibe and we were immediately greeted by Tessa behind the bar. We ordered the wine flight and chocolate pairing. Tessa walked us through the flight and showed us a great time while we were there. The manager Mike was very friendly and continued to make sure we had a good time throughout our visit. After our wine flight we ended up buying a bottle of Rose and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. We're very happy with Mark Herold, we'll definitely recommend to friends and we'll be back the next time we're in Napa.

Definitely not my favorite place. Over priced. I came to napa to drink wines that were grown here. Friendly staff but kinda weird

An Unforgettable Bouchaine Experience!…read more My three girlfriends and I had the most amazing tasting experience at Bouchaine Vineyards. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and truly special. Our wine educator, Rob Fischer, was absolutely wonderful. He was warm, knowledgeable, funny and genuinely passionate about Bouchaine. He shared the winery's rich history in such an engaging way and made our tasting feel personal rather than rehearsed. Rob was a huge part of what made our visit so memorable. We especially loved learning that Bouchaine is the oldest continuously operating winery in Carneros and sits along the southern edge of Napa Valley, overlooking the beautiful vineyards near San Pablo Bay. We were also impressed to learn about the remarkable women helping lead the winery: proprietor and president Tatiana Copeland and president and winemaker Chris Kajani. The setting is gorgeous. We relaxed on the beautiful patio, surrounded by vineyards, and enjoyed the peaceful Carneros scenery while tasting some exceptional wines. It feels tucked away from the busier parts of Napa Valley, which makes the experience even more special. Rob also told us about the new wine cave currently being built into the hillside. It sounds incredible, and we are already looking forward to returning when it is finished! Bouchaine offers everything you hope for in a Napa Valley tasting: excellent wine, fascinating history, beautiful surroundings and personal hospitality. Thank you, Rob, for making four girlfriends feel so special. We will definitely be back!

The entire experience was stellar, beginning with a welcome glass of Vin Gris, which counts as one of the five wines in the tasting. We settled into comfortable, spacious semicircular couches with panoramic views overlooking the vineyards, gardens, and mountains beyond. What truly elevated our visit was Dulce, our hostess, who has more than 20 years of wine experience. She described each wine with such knowledge and detail that we were able to choose wines we genuinely enjoyed. But it was more than expertise. She shared her knowledge and passion so freely and with such heart that she made the afternoon feel special. Dulce is truly a gift to Bouchaine. The hospitality began even before we arrived. When we realized we didn't need as much time between wineries, we called and asked whether we could move our 3:30 tasting to 2:30. They accommodated us with grace. We ended up staying more than 2 1/2 hours and never once felt hurried. I especially appreciated the generous spacing between the seating areas, which gave each group privacy and made the tasting feel peaceful rather than crowded. The grounds were lovely, with purple agapanthus and black-eyed Susans blooming against the vineyards and mountains. Even the modern wood architecture--from the tasting room and offices to the beautifully designed bathroom--made us feel as though we were somewhere thoughtfully created and genuinely special. Every member of the staff we encountered was warm and welcoming. Some wineries you visit once because you're curious to experience them. Bouchaine is the kind of place I would return to simply because of how wonderful it felt to be there. Although I would definitely be getting the Gewurztraminer, Merlot, and Pinot Noirs again too.

My husband and I were able to call ahead and schedule a very last-minute tasting, and from the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional. I work in the wine industry on the retail side in Texas, while my husband does not, so creating an experience that feels both educational and approachable for both of us is not always easy. Steve absolutely nailed it. He welcomed us warmly, shared thoughtful stories about the wines and the winery, and made the experience feel incredibly personal. The tasting room itself is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem in Napa. We especially loved learning about the wines and the woman winemaker behind Levendi. The tasting was stunning from start to finish. What truly sets Levendi apart, though, is the level of hospitality. Since our visit, I have referred many of my favorite clients to Levendi, and Steve consistently goes above and beyond for them. He bends over backwards to make sure my customers are taken care of, and every single person I've sent has come back raving about their experience. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing!
