Salmon Niçoise salad
Morgan H.

We were looking for a place to have a quick lunch in the Spokane downtown area. Located on the third floor of Nordstroms, the cafe has a counter to order and then table seating. We grabbed a table and then the server delivered our food. My only complaint was that the items did not come out at the same time. The Salmon Nicoise was excellent with a large piece of flaky salmon with a fresh pesto spread, sliced, roasted, greens and egg with a light vinaigrette. I really liked the seasoning that encrusted the salmon. the atmosphere is pleasant as well since it is removed from the shop and has plenty of windows overlooking the downtown. I would recommend if at the mall and looking for a convenient, sit down lunch option.

Chinese chicken salad (half size)

My mom recommended to eat here so we dined here for an early dinner before watching the Lilac parade. The cafe was empty and there were lots of booths, tables to choose from. I had the half size chinese chicken salad which was good. Generous amount of chicken and tasty. Apparently you can half anything on the menu... Service here was also friendly. Would recommend if you're shopping in the area and looking for a nice, quiet sit down lunch

I've been to this place twice. It's wouldn't be my first pic for a sit down meal but it's not too bad. There's not many options from the menu. But they do have some good things. The location is kind of hidden and I didn't know it was there till just recently. Not a bad place, has good food.

Super awesome place to eat with great food all around. I had the French dip and raspberry lemonade (a summer only drink) and they were both amazing! The sandwich is so filling I couldn't finish the other half. I totally recommend this place to anyone.

Kids menu

Stopped in on a whim after a trip downtown. I'd never been here before and I found it very calming. The dining area is tucked on the third floor of Nordstrom's and I think it would be a nice place for a girl's luncheon or a solo lunch. The staff was really lovely and gave my kiddo a box of raisins immediately as we came in. They have about five options on their kid's menu so I think it is totally child friendly, but the vibes were generally very quiet, so I felt like my kid was too loud (as opposed to, let's say Red Robin where you can barely hear!). I got a Chinese Chicken Salad for $12.50. It was a lovely salad, but probably not unique enough for me to order next time. I think I'll go back and try something else another time!

If you only have one stop in Spokane, make it this one…read more I stumbled in off the street on a Saturday, visiting from out of town and looking for a place to hunker down, do some work, and enjoy a real cup of coffee. Indaba didn't just check the boxes, it made me wonder why every coffee shop doesn't operate this way. Walk in and the space stops you. Exposed brick, warm wood, art on every wall, and a ceiling that opens up the whole room. The seating runs from cozy couches to high tops to proper tables. no bad seat in the house. Outlets everywhere. A conference room available to rent. Whoever designed this place actually thought about the people using it. The staff made us feel welcome without trying too hard. That's a skill. We ordered hot and iced mochas and both were dialed in. My wife went bacon avocado toast, creamy avocado against crispy bacon, exactly right. I had the sunbutter banana toast and almost ordered a second one. We grabbed an apple fritter to go. It didn't survive the drive. The background music hits just right, easy listening layered under the natural buzz of a full, happy room. Prices are exactly what you'd expect to pay for coffee done well. Before you leave, browse the retail wall. Solid selection of beans to take home, plus some genuinely cute goods worth picking up. This place has real soul. You'll feel it.

Coffee shop vibes don't get better than this. Doesn't just hit all the high notes, hits them all…read moreout of the park! There is a small space to sit that is primarily within the business, but plenty of room in the shared space if you are looking for a place to extend your visit. I asked the barista some questions and noticed that he was meticulously measuring coffee grounds by weight and tamping with precision. He was very helpful and willing to discuss the possibilities to help me land on my drink of choice. He proceeded to make me the best "dirty chai" I have maybe ever had. The chai is sourced from a small business in Bend. It was a perfectly spiced blend. The espresso was smooth and flavorful. It was so delicious I went back for another the next day. This establishment serves only beverages (as far as I could tell) but they are made with care and skill. Highly recommend.

#1 coffee in Spokane FOR SURE. I mean that so seriously. In…read morethe past two years I have tried several well recommended spokane cafes that were all great, tasty, and slightly more expensive than I would like. Hatch beaker + burr transcends all of these. I never expected that I would find one of the best lattes I've ever tasted in Spokane of all places after being a Portland/Seattle coffee elitist. The seasonal dulce de leche iced latte was so strong in the best way and brought me back to life with how flavorful it was. Seven dollars even and worth every penny. You can see in the attached photos that I really tried to get every drop of the drink. It was so good that I got another latte to go (cardamom), also so so good. Everything else: cute space with lots of plants and two tables (but other seating available in the commons), barista who is clearly very knowledgeable about every part of the coffee and actually likes making the drinks. Really nice service and you get updated on your drink even when it's busy which is nice, I've never had that in other cafes. I really can't reiterate how amazing this coffee was. Must try if you have not, and if you have you definitely already know.

AMBIANCE Parking: Downtown parking is downtown parking thus requiring some patience. There is some street parking and garage parking nearby. Seating: Inside seating, plenty of cozy nooks and tables, with room for about 40-50 people. Vibes: You gotta love Spokane. A growing town but a small town feel. The spot itself feels like a love letter to books and community with that old soul essence. You walk in and your senses are welcomed from the aroma of coffee and the hustle and bustle of employees and customers moving around. One side you'll see the cafe but a good portion is a lot of shelves with books and gifts. A very stimulating space, great place to study or get work done. CAFES & RETAILS Cold Brew - Hazelnut (Recommend) They have these house brews with selective flavors. I got a staple hazelnut that provided a nice nutty earthy feel. The coffee was strong as it kept me up for a busy day. Retails (Recommend) I didn't get anything but if my luggage had room I probably totally would have. Great range of books and creative thoughtful gifts (bookmarks, candles, and trinkets). CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and welcoming. The staff contributes to the warm atmosphere and makes the space feel approachable. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good coffee, cozy vibes, and a sense of community that makes you want to stay awhile. Atticus isn't just a coffee shop but a neighborly space that brings the locals and visitors together. If you're in Spokane and need a place to relax, come through! TIPS: * Take your time and browse the books and gifts, and enjoy the specials!

My daughter had the kids spaghetti with chicken added, and she confidently declared it the best spaghetti she's ever had... so there! Overall, a great experience with standout service and tasty food. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu before giving that fifth star.
