During Covid Mark's had the grumpy old man (yeah, sounds like me) out front. He wasn't happy to be there obviously, and the food took a downturn as well. The food is okay but one of the ladies was making wontons or gau gee with those plastic gloves AND handling the cash register with the same gloves on. I think they don't know the concept of using gloves. That really turned me off so I haven't gone in a while. read more

One of those Underrated spots in the island. Great menu, great serving size (and I mean HUGE sizes) and great tasting food. They have all of the plate lunch classics and they're always consistent. I have lived on Oahu off and on for a total of 14 years and return to visit periodically. Throughout all that time, Mark's Drive in has held a special place in my family's heart. The shop is tiny and seating is limited, so it's best left to take out, but that is the only detractor. The staff is friendly and efficient and the food is pure Hawaiian comfort food. We heard about it from someone and decided to try. This place has other chinese comfort food like beef tomatoes and their menu is similar to local chinese food like L & L. If you like chinese chicken cake noodle, you may like this place. Chickens are cut up into small piece without bones and cake noodles are freshly made. I mean it's not prefried, refried and served. Most other places won't make their cake noodles fresh and you taste mostly grease. This place serves perfect chicken cake noodles I've tasted recent years. Please don't expect superb service. It is a hole in the wall after all. Their service is okay. They have 3 marked parking stalls in front. Stadium Mall can be quite busy but there's more parking behind under the freeway. read more

Because this is Hawaii, they also offer the obligatory burgers and saimin. I like this place because they tend to fill your order quickly. They have a few tables for people who want to dine in. It's clean, and you can listen to Cantonese conversation in the background as you stare at the parking lot. The food is not the greatest Chinese cuisine but it's tasty enough and the portions are generous. This place does pretty consistent business. This is my second time coming here. My fiance introduced me to this place to eat. They have about 8 parking stalls for them in the front but it's only 30min. It's pretty small & tight inside. They have 2 tables for 2 people, 2 tables for 4 people & 1 long table for 8 people. My fiance comes here for the mochiko chicken plate. He says it's good & his right. It looks plain but it's taste good. It's a little crispy outside & juicy in the inside. It would be more better if they added some garlic & green onions. If you don't like white rice they have brown but it's .25 cent for mini or .50 cent for regular. There french fries is so plain like literally no taste at all. It only stays crispy for a good 3 minutes & after that it's soggy. They should also put the french fries in a better packaging because all they use it a small paper bag that gets wet & falls apart. read more

You get a lot of chicken, two scoops of rice, Mac salad, and a bit of seasoned bean sprouts. That was a lot of really tasty chicken for under $10. I paid with a card and the man working there is telling me to put it in a plastic container. It's not what he's asking but how he did. Rude behavior is unacceptable in anyone's book. It is a small shop owned by a Chinese family. I believe it has been there for a long time. The furniture and the inside decor was a bit old looking. My bf recommended the oyster chicken plate $8.75 Large, that comes with 2 scoops of rice (we got brown rice, $0.75 extra) and a mac salad. The oyster sauce chicken is fried crispy and covered with thick oyster gravy sauce. It was soooo good. Not too salty, but a but too oily. The taste was just right. Crispy chicken cooked tenderly, not dry. I was hoping they put more green onions because I love to eat that with savory food. The mac salad was good, homemade I believe. It would be better if the containers had dividers between the mac salad and chicken because the sauce mixed with the mac salad made it tasted really soggy. I usually don't go out to eat Chinese food because I practically eat it everyday at home. I guess this was an exception because I was starving after work. I had a good experience.
