Mariusz, our project manager, was very helpful throughout the whole process, and worked to make sure we were satisfied with the work done. The work was done in a timely manner. My wife and I have used Marks Tuckpointing and Remodeling two separate times so far. They finished the most recent project two days ago, and the first was completed a few years ago. Peter is professional, thorough, and fast responding. He provides solid customer service, obvious expertise, and excellent management skills. The (4) different crews Mark's has had at our property have always been professional and skilled. Im quite impressed with their current mason Eugene, especially. I highly recommend his talent. Our brickwork looks amazing thanks to him and his helper, John. The roofing crew they sent were also obviously skilled and very professional. Robert did not even provide a courtesy to call to discuss any technical problems or tell me why they would resign from the job. Mark's Tuckpointing and Remodeling was hired to rebuild the parapit wall and fix the tuckpointing on our 1906 built condo building. They did a wonderful job. The were extremely professional and efficient. I worked closely with Robert on the estimate and schedule for the project. He was very knowledgeable and quick to reply with any questions I had. They are also very cost efficient and I got 6 other quotes for this job. I would highly recommend them for tuckpointing and masonry work. We loved their work so much they are now helping renovate inside water damage from the outside leak and they just fixed some issues with our deck. Great company and people! read more

Stay away! They use subcontractors, my condo board was going to use them, found out that they would just farm out the job to another company and keep part of the profit. I brought this up at our meeting and put a end to our possible use of them. We needed work on our brick garage: tuckpointing, fireplace rebuilding, and work to reinforce and shingle our roof. Robert worked with us to make sure the job was done right - a task made difficult by the fact that we have very heavy solar thermal panels on the roof. A friend recommended Mark's Tuckpointing when I put out a plea for help having gone through a number of contractors - all suggesting different options for my leaky roof/crappy parapet walls/scary garage situation. As a last ditch effort I had one last round of contractors come through and Dan Sen from Mark's Tuckpointing offered me the best deal and what seemed like the most reasonable solution. The did double the work that some of the contractors suggested, for what was around 2/3 of the suggested price. To my recollection, they rebuilt the entire parapet wall on both sides of my house, and part of my garage, laid a new layer of roof on the house and put down new flashing. All previous problems ceased. Had I not found Mark's Tuckpointing, I don't know what I would've done. Dan is really kind, and really patient and his workers are fast, fast, fast! I plan to use them for all future repairs and recommend them to anyone! read more

I contacted marks Tuckpointing for a quote to powerwash the entire front of our 2 story brick building. They replied stating they do not serve the far south side of Chicago. I mapquest their location to my address and it was a 40 minute drive. Either business is so good they can turn away business. Or they have something against people who live on the south side of Chicago. I just wanted to make the public aware of how this company operates. Stay away. read more

In fact, on more than one occasion Peter has said they'll take care of something tangential to the work at hand gratis and each time they did the extra work with the same care & attention to detail they gave to the main job. The workmen have been on time, conscientious, and good natured--despite, this summer, encountering some really high temperatures on the roof of our three-flat Victorian building. They fixed my grandfather's stone planter and cement porch that was built in the 1950s and made it look like it was just built. The work was just incredible. Don't be fooled buy the low price. Robert came out to have a look (Thursday) and gave me a great price. Two days later (Saturday), one of his workers came out to have a look at the project. On Monday, one day before we were supposed to start work, he sends me an e-mail to notify me that he's increasing the price by 85%! Are you serious? You just don't run a business like that. I called and told him that. He said that's the price, or he won't be able to do the project. That's just wrong. read more

friendly and professional. jakub was all about attention to detail. marks tuck-pointing did the front facing wall of my old brownstone building. they matched the stones to fit the design and restored my building to its original look. a lot of planning and ordering of custom stone was required. jakub's guys did emaculate work and cleaned up after everything was complete. there was a variation in color as new stones cannot be exactly like the old stones in color but they did their best to wash the building so all matched . everyone on the block was amazed at their work read more

Mark's Tuckpointing replaced the roof and gutters on my neighbors' house. I was impressed with the quality of their work and hired them to do my gutters, minimal tuckpointing and replace a few bricks that were loose on my garage. They did a great job on the gutters and the bricks but there was a miscommunication issue between the person I signed the contract with and the crew with the tuckpointing work. I had to ask them to come back and tuckpoint what they missed originally. Overall I'm happy with the work they performed. read more

\marks did a great job of repairing our roof, lintels and parapets. We also used them for tuckpointing, and a new back porch. All of the work was excellent. However, I have twice requested quotes on gutter repair for 2 separate buildings, and have basically been ignored. I guess the job isn't big enough to bother with. Maybe I'll call again when I have a big job, but for now, I am looking elsewhere read more
