Gathered up the guys to watch a football game and enjoy some wings with beverages. We were able to score seats at the bar right in front of the TVs. The TVs were smaller than expected but whatever...no big deal. Ordered a Miller Lite to start and it was tasty. The wing menu is overwhelming to say the very least. Bruno has more than 300 wing sauces and flavors to pick from aside from regular menu. Pro tip is to take a look at the menu online before you go so you don't have a panic attack when you're there. For me a chicken wing is a chicken wing but I know some of you guys like exclusively flats or drums but they will not honor it your request. I like my wings "Naked" without the breading so they do not get soggy as quickly with mild sauce. The wings come over sauced and not as crispy as I would like but the flavor is still great. There is street parking available if you're lucky as well as a municipal metered parking lot in back of the business. Alcohol selection is plentiful. I moved into the area about a year ago from Hudson/Bergen County and I'm trying to get my food bearings for Morris/Warren. I have been generally disappointed with the food around the Long Valley area with some exceptions. Marley's is no exception. From word-of-mouth and some reviews I was expecting this place to be exceptional particularly in regard to wings. I give every place a second chance when they're bad or even good for consistency's sake, and I even gave Marley's three chances. Dear Marley's, how about going from 300 wing varieties to about 10 and get these right first? Then move up to 11. I've tried about a dozen varieties and the only ones that came close to acceptable were the Doritos, which my 10 year old son makes better without being sarcastic. And by acceptable I mean Applebees was closed for renovations and all you had was Marley's wings. Their "dry rub" wings are one step above an Amazon cardboard box but without flavoring. The only reason I didn't give Marley's 1 or 2 stars was because some of their menu items are decent if not inconsistent. My favorite item that Marley's does right are their disco fries. You think it's easy but it's not. They are some of the best I've had outside of many Diners out east for those who know what I'm talking about. The fries weren't the correct size but the gravy-mozzarella ratio and taste were spot on. My family and I have shared about a dozen items off the menu here and they were decent. But folks. Drove here to see what the place was all about and it did not disappoint. Miguel the bartender took care of us and the owner Bruno was extremely friendly. Food was delicious. Beer was cold and refreshing. Wings crispy and very flavorful. Mango habanero wings had a nice kick to them and a nice sweetness. Asian zing were a nice mild spicy, but very flavorful. After ordering from here fir the third time and not one of my orders being right I have to say I am done. Enough though the wings are tasty it doesn't pay to order and not get what you want. On Monday, January 16, 2023, my husband, friends, and I had lunch at Marley's Gotham Grill. The service was great and we enjoyed our food. Unfortunately, about five hours after our visit, two of the four members of our party started experiencing severe symptoms of food poisoning: nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The symptoms lasted into the night and were followed by a fever the next day. I had to miss a day's work due to illness. Because only two members of our party had symptoms, I suspect that our entrees were contaminated, and not the shared order of wings. The two entrees that caused illness were the Texas Burger "Go Big or Go Home" and the Irish Rueben Panino. Due to the serious nature of this incident, I sent an email to "manager@marleysgothamgrill.net" to request an investigation into the source of contamination, but to date, have not received a response. read more

Got take out from Marley's this weekend during Hackettstown's Oktoberfest. When we walked in Marley's was SWAMPED, but the hostess was still kind and patient when we asked to see a menu for take-out. We ordered 3 orders of boneless wings (garlic parmesan, honey mustard, and teriyaki) and I had a Mexican burger. We were told a half hour until it was ready for pick up, but we never received a call that it was ready. We showed up after a half hour and had to fight our way to the bar to get the order. By the time we sat down 10 minutes later, the meal was cold which we assumed was a result of it sitting at the bar for awhile, a 10 minute time lapse between picking it up and eating it should not have resulted in luke warm food. This place is good for your generic bar food, not sure if I would expect any thing else. read more

February 4, 2022 first day of work Just moved back from Virginia. My dad broke his fibia two days before Christmas Eve! Due to Covid restrictions we couldn't see him for a week. Mentally he did not do well and once he got out he didn't get any better. Turns out he has dementia and he is no longer capable of going back to work, indefinitely. So it's just up to my mother and me. Of course me finding a job was extremely important so when I got hired at Marley's's I was super excited. Even though on my first day I was told multiple times how much drama there was in the restaurant it wasn't my first rodeo and from my experience most work places have a ridiculous amount of drama I go to work to make money not to make friends. So when $10 + tips wasn't equaling to what I needed it to be. I had to get a second job I went ahead informing my boss JESS " it's right next-door so I'm never gonna be late" " I can work afternoons Monday through Sunday" I just couldn't work mornings anymore that was March 15 since then I have only been given one shift even though I've spoken to an owner multiple times First conversation: The response I got was "I'm sorry you threw a wrench in my schedule give me a week or two to figure it out" okay fine. But here we are April 3, Sunday the schedule comes out one shift After I had explained to what I thought was professional level my situation I still get met with the same response and then come to find out my coworkers are talking shit Word on the street is my coworkers think I don't have a good work ethic and that I don't show up for shifts which is kind of insane because I called out from one shift recently because I was sick didn't even go to my second job it's crazy to think that this is the work environment that people are used to how toxic is that like you actually think that I would care enough to lie to not show up to work even though I've been to work every other day that I was scheduled it's completely laughable How is someone supposed to better themselves when businesses are not there to support their employees ‼‼ read more

Here's The deal : Always known of this place just never found my way to actually get there People rave about their wings (250 varieties.... yikes). Also I'm told the other menu items (burgers etc.. are very good as well). This review is based solely on take out wings !! 3 dozen wings: 1doz garlic parm , 1 doz Bang Bang, 1 split doz mild & hot and naughty! The split option is good because there's soooo many styles to choose from. The sauces are delicious!! The wings are hugh and very meaty. As for the physical location during COVID. Everyone was masked up and precautions taken to ensure safety for the staff and customers .... There is a some nice outdoor seating as well as a section indoors for eating and an entire side for a bar area that I didn't enter, but could tell it was busy. So if you're in the mood for wings or good pub food with family or casual date night. Marley's is a can't miss. Can't seem to get my way at this establishment. Been twice, and each time my order is prepared incorrectly. I've asked both times for well done crispy wings. Each time the waitress says ok, no problem. Wings come out warm and soggy. Seems like they batch cook lots of them, then just add sauce. So I had wings from this place before. Fell in love with the buffalo wings. Ordered two dozen for my work buddy and myself. Turned out these were the worse wings I've ever had. And I'm being nice. No flavor and they were drier than cardboard. My buddy said more like trying to eat a stone. Very disappointed! Don't know what went wrong between the first time and now? I loved it. Marleys is a cozy and charming pub/grill that perfectly sums up the character of Hackettstown. There's well over a hundred varieties of wings here. Thats enough to keep anyone busy for a long time, but the real reason I'll come back is for a salad called "the wedgie." This wedge salad is made from hearts of romaine lettuce , and was as nice to look at it, as it was to put in my mouth. Next time I'm in town, I'll be stopping in for sure. read more

This was my first time here trying wings we got a dozen bone in and a dozen boneless. We tried the suicide the hot honey garlic the Hawaii Five-0 and the habanero. All the flavors were extremely tasty the wings all had a great crunch to them and a lot of flavor. My favorite were the hot honey garlic the flavor was outstanding. My only criticism is if you're going to call somethings suicide they better be hot they were no hotter than Frank's hot sauce it was a little disappointing. Where do I begin? Haven't been to Marley's for a while maybe four months when we first moved here seven years ago we loved it. The wings were amazin wins the last couple times and especially tonight the wings were soggy greasy and fatty. My wife's order was messed up very basic order. One of my favorite places to stop off for food when I'm up in Hackettstown! Marley's has a wide selection of food but their wing list is ridiculous. They ever ridiculous number of wins to try, something I've been trying to work my way through every time I'm up that area. I've had a lot of wings with bacon, a variety of cheeses, and a variety of sauces and gravy and I think I've only made it through about 15 different flavors lol. Some of my faves are (and always bone-in): #34 - Piggy Back; #43- Bang Bang Chicken; #17 - Garlic Parmesan; #6 - Belly Dancer; #29 - Jack Daniels; and #93 - Spicy Blue Cheese. I will recommend that a lot of the different flavors are mostly just a plain fried wing what the toppings added to it after being cooked, which keeps the wings nice and crispy! but if you're going for a spicy, I would definitely recommend some of the rubs they have because this way it cooks in with the meat! I do like the fact that they offer a few of the local breweries as well including Man Skirt and Czig Meister and I hope they soon at Jersey Girl to their selection of beers as well. read more

This restaurant feels like it could be in a very rural place but somehow its in Hackettstown. Don't expect a quiet peaceful meal. The bar area in particular can be really crowded and tight. I think people come back again and again for the huge variety of wings and burgers. They are definitely creative with adventurous flavor combinations and burger toppings. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SICK! My husband and I came in Tuesday night wanting to try out their wings they we have heard so much about. We ordered the Garlic Hot Bone-In Wings to start. They were not hot, but extremely sour tasting. We chalked it up to the garlic making them sour. Both of us said they weren't horrible, but not worth ordering again. For our meals we got fish and chips as well as the fish tacos. We ended up taking both meals home because our stomachs were not feeling right from how the sour the wings were. Fast forward 6-8 hours later, we are both sick as can be praying that someone will put us out of our misery. I will spare everyone the details, but just know we still haven't eaten solid food almost 48 hours later. I finally begin to feel better and call the restaurant to let them know about this. "Hey just a heads up this happened and the only thing I can contribute it to would be the wings." The manager puts the chef on the phone who proceeds to tell me that it must be from something we ate the night before we ate there(Monday night) because food poisoning doesn't kick in until 24 hours later. Well that's news to me and maybe someone should tell the CDC that as well as my physician who I spoke with Wednesday afternoon when she thankfully called in Zofran for us so we could try and keep from getting dehydrated. He then told me it must have been something I made the night before because "if it was from here then he would have 100 other calls saying the same thing." I have never seen such a blatant disregard from restaurant staff for the health of their customers. I have to leave a negative review for here. Been eating at Marley's for a long time but I just had horrible wings and had to post about it. We ordered Garlic Parm wings and potato skins for pickup. The skins were actually very good, but the wings were horrible. It was just garlic in oil and very little to no Parmesan cheese. These wings are the bomb! 250 flavors isn't just a selling point, it delivers. The breaded wings were super crispy and held sauce well without getting soggy. Had the Bang Bang, Raging Bull, Reuben and servers choice which was sauce 146, some type of sticky garlic. They were all great with quality meat. The wings are big and filling.
