The food was horrible. My girlfriend had a chicken Caesar salad it was so salty it was almost inedible. The service was absolutely horrible. Our server took our drink order and disappeared and we never saw her again. The rest of our meal we were served by what looked like the manager on duty an older gentleman. I have dined at this Marlow's Tavern a number of times since it's opening, and all and all am always pleased with the food and the service. I particularly enjoy the brunch menu they offer on Sundays, however their everyday menu has some tasty items as well. I prefer to dine outside, as their inside dining area is very dark. They have a large patio that is covered with heaters, so if it's cold out you can still sit outside. The problem is actually that it's often TOO hot outside, and we have had to ask them to turn off the heater above our table or lift the cover to let some air in. If you can get a table not in the direct sun that should help. For brunch they have several standard drink options (but not before 12:30 - Georgia state law). I have had the bloody mary and the bottomless mimosas ($15 for bottomless, $7 for one). Both are good options. The bloody mary mix is pretty standard with a little bit of spice. I've had the traditional chiliquiles several times and have always enjoyed them. It seems to be the right size of portion if you are hungry. If you aren't very hungry you might opt to share. I've also had the shrimp and grits, which are actually grit cakes. This is a reasonable portion as well, but quite rich so it might also be one you could share. The service is always good, and the staff is always pretty friendly. I would recommend Marlow's for both brunch (on Sundays) and lunch! read more

I came in for a quick lunch on a Thursday. It wasn't crowded and there seemed to be enough wait staff but service was really slow. From where I was seated, I noticed plate after plate kept under the warmers while they waited to be delivered to the hungry lunch bunch. Perhaps I wouldn't have noticed so much had I not been in a hurry, but I was, and so it was obvious that service was slow. My sweet tea was absolutely delicious and my Royale with cheese was absolutely delicious. It wasn't cooked to my liking and interestingly, my table mate managed to get one patty that was medium and one that was well done, but despite the temperature goofs, that's a really amazing burger. I had a side of okra with dipping sauce that was the perfect partner for the okra. The okra is lightly fried whole versus being cut and fried and its not greasy at all. Yum! read more

This was my first time eating here, and I was honestly and genuinely surprised at how much I liked this restaurant. I am not usually a fan of food chains, but I would definitely come back here! My order: a glass of Michelle Brut, (shared) asparagus fries, and the seared tuna salad I loved the glass of wine and salad! The wine was dry, yet bubbly, and the salad was amazingly balanced. I loved the pairing. (The wine paired well with my friend's leftover fries too ) Also, the server Jasmine (Jazmin?) was helpful and provided us with wonderful service. Sauvignon Blanc was refreshing and ahi poke with fresh wontons was delicious, side salad has a fresh vinaigrette prepared in house and you can tell. I would love to be able to give Marlow's (and this location) 4 stars, but I just don't love their food so I have to go with 3. I know plenty of people who think it is a 4 star place, and I totally understand that. Bang for the buck, I just think there are better options. I have been to this location twice now. Once opening week and once today for lunch with my wife. This location is in North Brookhaven off Johnson Ferry Rd in the same shopping center as Pure. Parking is usually no issue when I have been. Today we sat at the bar. Lindsey our bartender was extremely friendly and attentive. Definitely excellent service and kudos to her. We decided to share the Firecracker Shrimp app and the Royal with Cheese burger. My wife and I like sharing things so we can try more and eat less. The Firecracker shrimp were very good. Crispy fried shrimp with a sweet Thai style sauce. Not too spicy at all. It is sort of their version of Bang Bang Shrimp made famous by Bonefish. Marlow's version is more sweet, less spicy and less or no mayo. The quantity for $11.50 was very fair. The burger was good, but for their premium burger at $14.50 I kind of hoped for more. My wife really liked the fries but I found them a little blah. As I have been to this and other Marlow's multiple times, I am basing my rating somewhat off all my combined experiences. Service is always good, food is always decent, but in the end I have never walked away with that wow moment. And frankly usually walk away thinking "I could have gotten better for my money." The service here is TERRIBLE! My party of 3 was seated and NO ONE came to our table for a LONG time. There was another table who was seated after us and they were served before us. Really? Couples night with wife and friends bday. He chose the location. Where to begin...not clean, too cold inside, a sign on the table that said we have no straws sitting next to a used plastic straw. Ordered roast chicken, upon opening up the chicken, staight pink! Like "don't eat me" pink. I show the beyond lackluster, uninspired server. He gets the manager. Manager does not come up and introduce himself, he gives me an update on my brocolli that it was on the way and the cook overcooked the first batch....seriously already done eating. Then, no joke, manager takes the plate, eyes the chicken like he is examing it, then proceeds to educate me on how chicken has "blood vessels". I looked him in the eyes and said, "Sir, I have been eating chicken for the better part of 40 years. That my friend, is pink from undercooking. He then says I will bring you another piece of chicken, I said I am done, no thank you. He said, I will bring the brocolli, I said no I am done. I felt insulted. Then, he still brings out the broccoli and sets it in front of me after I told him I did not want it! If you are paid to deliver properly cooked food and a good experience, this grade was a F. Me and coworker went to Marlow's yesterday for an early dinner and had the most amazing experience! The trout dip was phenomenal and a great start to the meal. Both of us followed that with the grilled salmon (which is an absolute must in my book) but what made the meal most enjoyable was our server Chris. He was kind, entertaining and an all around joy. Found this spot while looking for a good late brunch/lunch spot on a Sunday! We called ahead, and asked if they had bottomless mimosas, the employee replied that they did, but the price depended on how many people were in attendance. As a party of four, they told us it would be 18 dollars a person, GREAT! When asked how long they went for, they said they didn't end, AWSOME! When we arrived we were seated quickly, the waitstaff was approachable, friendly, but the Mimosa experience was very low quality. The pitture was filled with ice, a lot of OJ and what seemed like no champagne. Our glasses were also filled with us. The weakness of the beverages combined with the state of the pitture felt very cheap. As a group of four, we ordered 6 pictures, and no one felt slightly buzzed by the end of our meal, while all felt sick from the overdose of OJ. Upon finishing our meal, the price had gone up to 21 dollars a person instead of the 18 we were previously told, and the waitstaff said the mimosa promo ended at 4:30, versus all day which was what we were previously told. In addition, our waiter rounded up the checks paid in cash, not returning less than was required change. All in all, a good food experience, but the lack of communication and poor Mimosa quality really impacted our experience. Probably wouldn't return for a brunch. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST SERVICE! The restaurant was not busy at all, and the front door was unmanned for 20 minutes. One worker walked past us at a leisurely pace and said "someone will be with you shortly". We continued to wait as guests began to come in behind us, asking "how long have we been waiting". My friend got tired of waiting and went to find a manager. Jonathan Williams, the GM came and apologized stating "we are short staffed and I'm doing 17 other things." He seats us and says "someone will be with you immediately". we wait, and wait and no one ever comes. a waitress comes to check on the table behind us and says "someone will be with you shortly." At this point, I set a timer for 5 minutes and nobody shows up. the timer goes off and me and my friend get up to leave. we pass Jonathan heading out and he asks "nobody has waited on you yet?" we angrily said no. he says, "I'm so sorry". I've always been a fan of Marlow's until I went to this location this past Thursday. The food was MEDIOCRE at best. The new menu is definitely not working out and the cooks are definitely not the greatest. I sat a table with five of my friends and had the Flatbread, Ahí Tuna Poke, Smoked Trout Dip, Crawfish Fondue, Firecracker Shrimp, and finally the Shrimp and Crab Nacho Plate. That was six appetizers that we ordered that were all consistently terrible and unpleasant to the palate. The flatbread tasted like a low-grade Papa John's chicken pizza but just weirdly shaped, the trout dip was very salty and so were the pita chips that came with it, the firecracker shrimp had no batter as if the cook did not know how to make battered shrimp and a sweet and sour sauce that just not go well with it, the nacho plate was not a nacho plate but a plate of 8 soggy chips with cold cheese on top (I get what you're trying to do with the presentation here, but flavor wise it is not working out), and finally the crawfish fondue which was a seasonal special that was advertised as a Louisiana favorite but yet had no flavor at all... The only good plate was the Ahi Tuna Poke. That was the ONLY thing you guys got right besides my drink. I don't intend on ever coming here again. Marlow's has got to get it right! read more

This place has a nice casual atmosphere with several tvs playing various games and a good classsic variety of music piping through the pa. Our hummus appetizer was tasty with veggies and pita. Most of the food is sports bar fare but the Tuna Nicoise was fantatastic! The three others at my table all enjoyed burgers but there are options.... fish tacos, salads, sandwiches. Youre going to hard pressed to find a restaurant that cares less than this place. No one thing to point to. Nothing went "wrong, it was "blah"from start to finish. Bottle of chardonnay was not cold. Service was flat at best. Patio was dour. The food ... they dont even try. My chicken tortilla salad looked like a house salad. It didnt even have tortilas and it had carrots. Who puts carrots on a chicken tortilla salad?? Even worse, they charge too much for it. Do yourself a favor. Avoid this place. read more

Great addition to the neighborhood! Clean, easy parking and solid food. We have now had the grilled cheese, double cheese cheesburger and the chicken panini. Enjoyed all three, but the chicken panini is top choice. The on tap selection could be a bit larger, but the service has been fairly solid, it's not too loud (at least not during lunch hours) and there's nothing else like it in the immediate vicinity. I'm a bit worried about bringing kids here as don't see a lot of tables that are high-chair friendly, but for a quick stop for lunch it's a great option. This place just opened recently. Already, they're getting a crowd during lunch time. When we visited today, the parking area they share with other businesses was pretty crowded. So be warned that you might have to circle a few times to find a spot. The inside is kept somewhat dim, so we chose to sit outside. It wasn't cold today, though sunny. So we asked to have the shade raised, which in turn meant they had crack the side, letting the air into the outdoor sitting area. It was nice to get done fresh air. We ordered the appetizers and two mains. Overall the food was OK. I'm told the firecracker shrimps were really good. But since I want able to eat it, I can't say myself. The other dishes, I would say was OK, but nothing stood out for me. I did think most dishes were a smidgen overly salty, and would've tasted a little better with a little less. Service was good and accommodating. The food came out relativity fast as well. read more
