The tomatoes were hearty and cut a perfect thickness. Could have used more balsamic for me, but my husband liked it fine. Chef special: Swordfish picatta with mashed potatoes, vegetables & tiny salad - 4/5 This was good. The picatta sauce was delicious and the fish cooked perfectly. I would have liked a mix of different vegetables. Lasagna - 5/5 - this was my favorite. It was cheesy, served very hot, the noodles were not mushy. Just deliciousness on a plate. The service at the bar was outstanding. Our server was attentive and offered us as much bread as we wanted. He went over the menu and offered suggestions. We only drank water and the cup was always full. He was great! Seating - there was plenty of seating, so was not sure why we were only offered a choice of 2 tables both basically on top of the party next to you. I feel they can do better in that department. There was seating outside, which was also offered, but it was way too hot and humid that day to dine al fresco. We ending up sitting at the bar. Forced tipping: They add a "kitchen appreciation" fee to your bill, which I did not care for. I feel this is tacky, but if they are doing this, it should be posted somewhere that they are, feels sneaky otherwise. The food was very good & I will likely be back to try other dishes.

My husband and I came across the restaurant on a Saturday at 430pm. We had our baby stroller and have been mindful on avoiding dinner rushes while going to restaurants, just in case. The Host asked us if we were a party of "3 and a half" which we laughed and said yes. We waited outside where there is patio seating and only a couple of tables taken. Inside, there were people at the bar and maybe one table occupied. The rest were open. I could see through the windows that the staff made a big deal about the stroller, they were walking around making hand motions as to where the stroller would "fit" mind you we've been to plenty of restaurants where this has NEVER been an issue. They came out to speak to us twice stating they were looking for a spot. I told my husband we should just eat elsewhere but he insisted on waiting. We did not want to sit outside due to it being hot. The host finally returned and said that they have reservations and can seat us at a table but we have an hour limit due to the reservation. My husband obliged b/c he was hungry, and I was annoyed. We got seated in the back which is fine by the big display of wine and our stroller replaced a chair. Which idk why that wasn't suggested or thought of in the first place. Our server was very nice but the other staff just kept side eyeing us. Dinner was rushed, it was tasty yet over priced. Our baby slept the entire time, No fuss thankfully. What were they to do if they had someone in a wheel chair and couldn't accommodate space? I know the comparison is far fetched compared to a stroller however it was the first time I ever encountered this. Since someone else made a comment about them not being seated due to a stroller, I would suggest avoiding this restaurant if you have small children as it seems it's not welcomed. Again, we were mindful and have been going to dinner before 5pm.

The cannelloni Romano are 3 crepes stuffed with chicken , spinach and cheese and topped with more cheese and a red past sauce. My husband enjoyed them very much. We have actually never seen this served in another Italian restaurant before. My Frutti d Mar was also very delicious, it had scallops, shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari.Served with some linguine in a delicious red broth. So delicious. Now I can understand why this place has been around this long. I heard that the same chef has been making those dishes for 36 years or maybe more. That's a great consistency to have. But the pasta really blew me away. I'm still thinking about how good it tasted. I would definitely come back and I actually wanna bring my dad who loves spicy pasta like this. It was really that good. I can't think of another place that has this level of pasta let alone this price. The only negative I would say in regards to one of the workers. The cashier was manned by wonderful woman who did every and all tasks from taking the orders to putting food items in the oven to answering the phone I'm probably much more than that. I don't know. In contrast there was an Asian man with a black shirt who was also working. He looked lost and completely helpless. There was a moment where this woman was so busy and there was a ringing that I assume was from either a phone call or a delivery order. This man did not offer to help more nor did he help from what I saw. He was utterly helpless and unhelpful. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt with the encouragement "Hey help your team out!" The woman on the other hand was doing so many things simultaneously and yet was really kind at the same time. We stumbled upon this cozy little restaurant and couldn't have been more delighted. It's #1 in Yelp! The chicken marsala was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked, with a rich, flavorful sauce. I also tried the meatball sub, and it was hands-down one of the best I've had, with tender, well-seasoned meatballs and a hearty marinara sauce. A special moment for us was when my picky daughter decided to try mushrooms for the first time (in the chicken marsala, of course). To my surprise, she loved them! That alone was a winner for me. On top of the amazing dishes, the staff was super kind and welcoming, making us feel like part of the family. It's rare to find a place with such a warm atmosphere and incredible food. Unfortunately, customer service is lacking in many establishments. But not in this place. We'll definitely be back soon! read more

I would highly recommend Marri's not only because the food is absolutely amazing, but the service and kindness of this gentleman is impeccable. I have never had such warm hospitality given to me at a restaurant in my life. It felt like we were family. We engaged in great conversation, all while eating one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Delivery went well, didn't take long, driver got a little lost, happens to almost all trying to find us first time, but he called and quickly sorted out how to get here. Pizza was good, but its the cheese on top style, not my choice for anything greasy like pepperoni. Next time we will try something else. Pasta was great, which is kind of opposite for most delivery Italian food, so maybe next time all pasta. Basic quality was good enough to make us want to explore more menu items. read more

Mind you they gave ice to other customers. She also made a comment about there being five of us. At that point, her attitude came across as unnecessarily petty and unprofessional. She later told me they didn't have basil, so I asked for olives as a replacement. We waited approximately 25-30 minutes for the pizza. When it finally came out, there was no pepperoni on it, despite pepperoni being part of the order I originally placed. I showed the cashier my receipt and explained that I had specifically requested pepperoni, ricotta cheese, and basil. She insisted that she had repeated my order correctly, but the receipt actually reflected the items I had requested. Instead of simply correcting the mistake, I was charged extra for the pepperoni, even though it was an issue with the original order. On top of that and once our pepperoni was added the second time, we waited about 15 plus, additional minutes. the younger male employee was trying to flag me down to come get my order rather than bringing it to the table. At that point, after everything else, I said "No, you bring it over here." The audacity of them requesting I go pick up my pizza was crazy. I really hope that their manager reads this review. I'll be reviewing this on their website as well. The pizza itself was alright, but honestly, it wasn't worth dealing with the attitude, the ordering mistake on their part, the extra charge, and the overall experience. I came in willing to give this place a try, but unfortunately, I won't be coming back, and neither will the families of the children I brought along with us. They already spoke to their parents about this I unnecessary experience. Mistakes happen, but how you treat customers when mistakes happen makes all the difference. He asked to use the restroom, and there was some kind of confrontation where they refused to let him use the bathroom even though he was picking up food from that establishment. I don't understand why they made a big deal about it, he got a bit aggravated because of it and while I don't condone his response I just don't like how "the owner" handled it. An older disgruntled woman made a big deal about him asking to use the restroom and made a scene when she could have just pointed to the bathroom and let him use it and go. Her face told me everything I needed to know. I will not be patronizing this establishment again, she had a condescending demeanor and was unnecessarily rude and disrespectful. Reminder that kindness is free. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
