Pizza was not good tasted like a microwave pizza. Gave me and the family thirst for water too much MSG on it

I have been craving a meatball sub for a while and some fast food chain sub wasn't going to cut it. I stumbled across Marri' Pizza and noticed that had a meatball sub that looked pretty good in the pictures I saw. Straight forward ingredients done right is what I look for this sub included only bread, meatballs, cheese and sauce. I made the delivery order. The Italian Meatball was just what it looked like. It was a well done and simple meatball sub that checks all the boxes. Good bread toasted just a bit, full bodied meatballs that weren't dry, good quality cheese and sauce. The missing star is from the lack of exciting flavor involved. I know this sub is not mean to be full of flavor explosions, but I didn't taste as much Italian inspiration in the dish as I was hoping for. I think this could be accomplished via the meatballs or sauce. All in all this was a really good meatball sub that I would definitely order again, but may add some of my own seasonings at home. read more

I am not one to usually leave a review but we have had terrible service from Marri's. We ordered from them a month ago and the order was cancelled without us knowing (and waiting for our food). We decided to give them another try and ordered before 5:00 this evening. It is now almost 7:30 and we still don't have our order. I called to check and the person who answered just said he couldn't find your house. No apology or anything. They said it will come soon. The food is good but the customer service is terribly disappointing. I will never be a customer again. read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem our friend decided to take our group of friends here because of their family meal price. We ordered pizza, spaghetti, bruschetta, and wings. Pizza was delicious they put the pepperoni under the cheese for a magical cheesy pizza mouth sensation our meal came with a salad as well. The place is small but wasn't crowded when we went. The service was great they are very attentive and kind. They also deliver which I thought was pretty cool for a smaller location. Overall I would definitely go again. Yelp challenge 2016 Local long running pizza joint with over 50 year history at the corner of Santiago Blvd and Lincoln ave near the Shell station in Orange specializing in classic Italian dishes. Primarily take out, and delivery but they do have a few cozy tables for those who wish to dine in. Ordered a meat lovers with extra sauce on a requested New York style thin crust. I was happy that they were willing to accommodate thin verses the standard crust in their pictures. Dough was cooked perfectly, crispy at the edges, topped with plenty of tastey sauce, 4 kinds of meats, and super generous on their cheese. Maybe a little to much cheese for me. Pretty tastey pizza for a mom n pop joint. Just under $20 out the door. Service is super friendly. From the cashier to the guy in the back. Good service goes a long way in my book. The meal is very reasonably priced and it comes with a very good fresh and crispy salad that has cheese, olives, tomatoes, croutons, and more. It is a very good size salad. We ordered angel hair pasta with meat sauce and meatballs. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was AOK. The meatballs were the star of the show. Gigantic and juicy, these meatballs are packed full of meaty goodness and flavor. I was very impressed! ~Cheese Bread-4 Stars! This was so good. Stopped in for dinner one night and had the most authentic Italian food I have had in a long time. The bruschetta and salad were both delicious, and they even brought us extra garlic bread with our meal. I got lasagna, and it was amazing. Huge portion, especially for the great price; I brought home extra. It came out very hot and fresh. The staff was amazing as well, and very friendly. They always checked in to see if we needed anything. The ambiance was very quaint as well, and it was a lovely atmosphere. 10/10 and we will definitely go again! read more

I gave this place four tries before writing this review Every time I went there I was treated as if I was asking for a handout. The food is not something to brag about but what makes tuis place a bad one is the terrible service both by a man that seems to be the owner and a woman with curly hair, which seems to be in charge and in my humble opinion should be discarded. Before trying this place I was told by other people about the less than average food and dismissive service, however I decided to give it a try since all the good places were to busy and I was sadly confirmed. If you go there don't expect to be greeted with appreciation or any class, this place lacks all of that. Today my soup was cold and the garlic cheese bread I got was stuck to the top of the box making it garbage on arrival. I will not step one foot in there again, I asked for a taste of the Marinare a sauce, it was a bit acidic for me so I asked for the garlic pasta with extra garlic, got my order gluten free with marinara, I told the lady what I ordered and she argued with me and was nasty, as I was walking out, SHAME ON HER, she started speaking to me in Spanish behind my back while I was walking out, it's not like me to call people names but I did and called her a Bitch Customer's always right, she didn't hear me right. So I've been putting this review off for a while. I will preface this review by saying that my family has been a faithful customer for almost my entire life, 36 years. NO LONGER CUSTOMERS! My father has adored their pizza from way back in the "Cannibal delight" aka meat lovers days. Night one: I place a call twice because the employee answered like I was calling someone's house, without stating where it was I was calling! UN PROFESSIONAL! She takes my order and asks that I pay over the phone and I oblige. The payment was declined, 3 times. So I offer to come in and pay and SHE said that it was fine. I get there and the payment is again declined, so I call my bank and was told that my funds were available and that it had to be a merchant error! I return inside the store to tell HER I was leaving. While she insisted to say inappropriate things about me in another language and while some younger male Employee insists on being rude to me as well on a matter that has NOTHING to do with me whatsoever. So I Left the store. Night 2: I return with my mother and father and fiancée to get our families favorite food. From the second I walk in I was verbally accosted by this woman "SHE" from night one. So against my better judgement I order anyway mind you it's a $70 Plus dollar order. My card declined AGAIN. My fiancée standing with me inside the store the entire time witnesses the woman "SHE" and now "HIM" getting rude, being very berating and VERY UN PROFESSIONAL! My fiancée picks the tab up and we wait. "SHE" starts to yell at my fiancée while "HIM" is getting in my fiancée' face YELLING AT HER and I. My fiancée goes outside for a few minutes, while she is outside "HIM" starts a staring contest or a no blinking contest, to which I am a full blown veteran at! While making comments about me coming back there as if to try and intimidate me, then "SHE" comes to his rescue and FORCES, LITERALLY Forces him in the back on the restaurant. Little did she know, she was doing him a favor and I'll leave it at that! The hostess the entire time was polite and agreed that this was very UN professional. ALL ON VIDEO BTW! So I'll continue, the food is prepared by the quasi violent "SHE" and another gentleman in the back of which stayed out of the tussle up front. When the food is ready it's passed to the front to the hostess and she then hands it to me. It was then that I was told NEVER TO COME BACK by "SHE" and told To COME BACK by "HIM" so I will say this, to the little boy "HIM" at the front I did you a favor by being peaceful, paying your wages for the day, leaving. To an understanding that you will never appreciate. I did invite "HIM" over to my house for dinner, however there was a huge hesitance and a resounding "NOPE" following my offer. So to ALL reading this, TURN AWAY, LEAVE, NOT WORTH ANY AMOUNT OF ANYTHING to dine here. Mind you they did this all in front of several customers as well as ON VIDEO. Last but not least. I referred to the employees as "HIM & HER" because after asking their names they flat out told me they were not giving me their names but "Assured" me that they were owners or at least this was the claim of "HIM" which makes this ever so worse, you're an "Owner" of a business then you HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO LITTLE BOY!!!! I ACTUALLY OWN A BUSINESS and the way you conducted yourselves I have NEVER SEEN EVER!!!! Similar to watching a jerry springer episode. Shameful, disrespectful, DIRTY! And don't worry, we didn't eat the food for what worries we had that you did something vile to it. If you're capable of running a business like this, there is NO LIMIT to what you're capable of doing to people's food! Even after all that I STILL PAID LIKE A MAN WOULD, but understand this little boy, I paid for food and what I got was a great lesson of where not to spend my money! Let this be a warning of what comes with MARRIS pizza! Let this be your "Oh nevermind" I wish I would have had one! Godspeed MARRIS you're going to need it with customer service like that! This place is so close to where I live, I'm kicking myself for never trying it before! Pizza was excellent. Ordered a large sausage and it lasted for 3 days because the slices were so large. 2 slices day one filled me up, and then 1 slice for lunch for the next 3 days. Loved the sauce and cheese. Perfect amount of topping for me. The crust is very bready (is that a word?). When I got to the end of the pizza, it was like eating a plain breadstick. I was a little surprise there wasn't any seasoning. It wasn't bad, just thought it would have used a little kick. We got our pizza to go (pick up) but they do deliver. The location itself is fairly small. Don't expect Olive Garden or even Shakey's when you walk in. I am looking forward to trying some of their other Italian items though. She says she's the OWNER and every time she answers the phone she is so rude I end up almost canceling my order she is always out of stuff and can't make this item because it's too difficult or the wrong time of night it's like lady if you don't want business then just close otherwise hire someone nice to answer your phone!, This is the second time she has acted like this she gets one more shot then that's a wrap one more small business owner who's gonna lose business just for having a bad attitude! I was so hungry for some baked zitti. I looked online and found this place and the picture made me even more hungry. Because it is Lent right now I needed to avoid meat. When I ordered the zitti I was given the option for no sauce. Excellent. From that point I knew that the zitti was fresh. I could taste all the different cheeses and there was a lot. I debated giving them a 1 star. I was looking around and found Marri's on Yelp. There actual website has an online ordering function that doesn't work. I ended up using grub hub and ordered an eggplant Parmesan and a kids pizza. I asked to sub Alfredo for the marinara on the pizza. I received a call saying they couldn't sub the white sauce because "The pizza was too small". In a previous career i worked over 15 years in restaurants. What does the pizza is too small mean. I called to ask for verification. The same person i spoke with below said that the cooks in the back refused to put alfredo sauce on any pizza smaller than a small. I would have paid an uncharge, i had no issue. They just wanted me to get a larger pizza, I am very happy that I didn't, my child's pizza was hard as a rock and fairly inedible. How much meat has to be in sauce in order to call it meat sauce? The "meat sauce" barely had any flavor of meat ugh less any chunks of anything in it. I ordered an Eggplant Parmesan with meat Sauce. The eggplant was ok, the garlic bread didn't taste like garlic, and the pasta and sauce were pretty flavor less also. The best thing was the free diner salad and italian dressing! read more

I'm a sucker for this pizza. HOT TIP: Order your pizza thin crust and well baked/crispy. Come back and share the useful, funny, and cool clicks. That's the way I love it and it's perfect each time. I grew up eating Marri's in Long Beach and I don't know what the exact connection is, but it tastes the same and that makes me very happy. Same delicious pizza and same delicious garlic cheese bread. I've never actually gone here though - I always order through yelp and have it delivered. The delivery guys are always nice, though. Although one dude forgot my side order of ranch and I realized too late... and they charge a buck for that (end that nonsense now). So definitely not a perfect experience each time, but if that's the biggest complaint I have, I'll take it. I did also wait over 2 hours one night, but that was the crazy storm night that passed through SoCal. Every time since has been under an hour so I'll let that pass. Just my second time picking up at this location, although I'm familiar with the original Anaheim location. Pizza's good, wish the dough (regular crust) was a little crisper and had a more yeasty flavor, but all-n-all a solid pie. What gives them the 5 stars is the customer service, always gracious and friendly, the owner offered me a free soda as I waited as we talked about Marri's history. There are pizza establishments on every corner, many are of the large franchise variety. I prefer to take my business to the independent shops & restaurants, I feel they produce a better product, and you're supporting their economy which makes it all so much better! read more

I absolutely loved this place. My family and I have been looking for a new pizza place to try and stumbled upon Marri's the other day when driving by. We decided to order online and picked up our order for a quick n easy weeknight meal after our hike. We were not only impressed with the food itself, but the price and quality of service at this establishment. I am beyond blown away and almost mad at myself for not trying Marri's sooner. WE WILL BE BACK! The little spot itself was super cute inside & the staff made up a table for us to drink a beer while we waited for our food even though they had a large reservation that filled the restaurant (we were early). I brought my parents as they were in the mood for pizza. I found Marri's through Yelp and decided to try it out and eat in the restaurant. Now I'm a bit of an Italian snob.....you can always tell a good Italian restaurant by their marinara sauce and Marri's sauce was delicious and on point. We ordered the family special and we were not disappointed. The salad was crisp & fresh, the spaghetti with marinara was superb and the pizza did not disappoint. Also, the staff was polite, friendly and treated us like family which please my parents alot.. we have found our new pizza spot and look forward to great meals ahead. read more
