I don't know why these employees feel they can treat guest rude?? I mean do they have morning meetings saying hey make sure u are rude to each customer that's the goal today! What do you think. So I had my tags attached and the recipient too. Everything was good I even told her upfront hey some might be from the clearance section but look I have here the red stickers she was like very nice u have it all . So she goes about her scanning and match ed the red stickers to the items and she said this one is not u didn't have it ? I have one red sticker here and one clothing left. She said very rude next time don't take off the tags. I said excuse me i made your life easy and better I have everything here and all items have tags. I said next time you think before you are rude to o me or anyone else. She said oh here it is i said is that as here like the other stickers u just didn't check and decided to talk shit to me because she thought she could. Please Marshall's do better teach the staff to be more respectful and do their job properly. What is hard for a cashier do right. Let's see smile, Keep cash drawer good, scan items , tags items , creat labels and so on. So what she was doing for me is all that and she got bad because why. I'm truly disappointed in the customer service I experience with KIARA L. (Thumbs down!!!!) I attempted to return a hand soap which I bought a little over 2 months ago because I was allergic to an ingredient and scent was incredibly over powering. We all know we can't sample things in the store, which I decided to buy it at the time. As I began to explain that I wanted to return it, she said I couldn't return it because it's over the 30 days and then said 60 days...?? I don't recall Marshall's having a 60 day return policy. I had a full hand soap with price sticker and receipt. This item was only $4.99, it's not like I was asking for $100+ in return or store credit. I went ahead and continued my shop for other items I needed from the store. When I was checking out, I asked the cashier, who was assisting me if this policy was true. She was unaware of it and had to double check with the coordinator, which happened to be Kiara. I believe that all employees who are cashiers should know, and be aware of all return policies. When she got back from double checking, she explained that since the item was used, it's not returnable. And I just said OK. I had asked a cashier for the coordinators name (which I didn't know at the time was Kiara), and I asked, how do you spell it and Kiara passes by very loud and spells it out for her with very unprofessional attitude. Ghetto if you ask me. I strongly suggest that the store manager reconsideres her position as she is not fit to be a coordinator. Located right down the street from main place mall, next to a dollar tree and Ralph's, this location is a convenient stop off for mindless browsing! They have a good selection of merchandise, store is clean, and employees were friendly! read more

I love this Marshalls. They always have huge selection of seasonal items in sale. Also, they are packed with lot of new products. Service is always good and value wise there is different price point. You can find a beautiful gift on your budget. There is also bog parking lot outside. read more

I like shopping at Marshall's. They have good deals and a nice mix of clothes, home stuff, and shoes. Sometimes it can be a bit messy or hard to find sizes, but overall it's a good place to shop and I usually find something I like. You definitely can't beat the prices so you can't complain. They always have a lot of cashiers so the surface is usually quick which makes it an easy stop. read more

Halloween haul!!!!! I waited until I saw the orange go up in stores. Around this time of year, Marshalls starts putting out Halloween stuff! And I love it!!! You can find the cutest Halloween things. They had all kinds of knit knacks and cups. I found this ADORABLE bat plant. It's a fake plant so I don't have to worry about killing it lol It's soooooo cute! I also found some mummy mugs. PErfect for coffee and tea! :) They were matching mummy and me mugs. Get it? Mummy and me? It had a big mug for mummy and a little one for a child. Great value. The service was good too. No complaints from me. I will be back to look for more spooky things! hehe read more

This establishment is my go to clothing store. I love how helpful everyone is on both locations.( Torrance & Palos Verdes). The quality of their merchandise is quite good & I find that they have quite a large selections in my size. read more

This is one of my favorite stores. They have everything for both men and woman, including shoes. And only at Marshall's will you find brands like Diesel, Guess jackets, and Zara jeans. I always have to go through the bath section and the snack aisle. They have some great home decor items too. Many of my home accents were found here. I can spend a full hour going through everything. I just tried to return 2 items and I had the receipts but the clerks gave me such a terrible time. Instead of putting the credit back to my credit card, I was only able to get a gift card for 1 item and the other item clearly was tagged from Marshall's, they said the item was from TJ Maxx,, an affiliate store and refused a credit. I told them TJ Maxx wouldn't take the item back because the tag clearly was from Marshall's. The clerks were rude and difficult- I will not shop at this location again. read more

This is the Marshall's I shop at the most. I usually buy clothes and toys for my Goddaughter here. The Easter basket selections were gorgeous this year! And so affordable. She loves Bluey, and there are plenty of Bluey toys. There were also lots of cute basket stuffers such as Play Doh Easter eggs and Easter books. Service is always good here, but be prepared to wait, as the line can be long. read more

You don't expect much going to a Marshall's but my word, Diana the manager is completely unprofessional. The register gal needed assistance and didn't know what to do and Diana over her radio gave no assistance and then refused to come up and help. There were only ten people in the store as they just opened!! The poor register gal had to apologize to the customer and it was just so sad. No leadership skills and just plain cowardice and laziness by Diana to refuse to assist her employees. I'm guessing it happens a lot. Do better. read more

Very bad service!! The manager, ALEXANDRA, was rude. She lied about the restroom, and she didn't let me pee. At the beginning the person in te fitting room said it was out of services because nobody cleaned today, the cashier said because they don't have toliet paper, and the manager ALEXANDRA at the beginning said because the pipe was broken, and then she said because there are so many homeless around. My mom and I avoid coming to this Marshall's however this is the closest one to us. The store closes at 9:30pm and they start doing a "countdown" over an hour before closing time. Obnoxiously announcing the time left to shop every 10 minutes. The customer service is awful as they always have side conversations that are inappropriate at the cash registers and are known to be rude to customers. They also turn off the lights 10 minutes before closing time which is rude and can be a safety hazard for customers in the store. I would avoid coming to this location if you prefer to have a stress free experience while shopping. read more

Today 12/19 @10:40pm I experienced a frustrating transaction. I was buying gifts for several friends & family who are not from the area. I asked the cashier Berenice if she is able to give me 4 or 5 gift receipts if I do it one whole purchase & she confidently said yes. I said if it is not possible I can make the purchase gifts for each person individually. She again repeats she can do it in one go with gift receipts. I'm sorting things out & handing them. I come to pay & ask for the gift receipts. I miscounted the people and confirmed 6 gift receipts total. She tells me she can only do 3. So obviously, I already paid & don't know what to do. Manager comes in with the glasses & says that's all she can do. The system does not allow anymore. Does your employees know that? I could've done what I had suggested before. I understand if I spent under $50, but I had spent $300 on these gifts. I'm standing there not knowing what to do, and there's just no form of trying to find a solution on their end. The last 3 times I've shopped here I've been helped by cashier coordinator Marisol. And each time I've gone she gives me an attitude and makes transactions difficult. When I saw her today I wanted to avoid her and wait for a different rep to help but everyone was busy. I shouldn't have to avoid an employee when shopping is something I really enjoy spending my money on. I had a huge purchase of $400+ and she made a snooty comment. Store is usually a mess, but there are some good finds there. Won't be going back. My husband asked an older worker there tonight 1/2 around 6:40 pm where the bathroom is and the response he got was "it's where the big sign that says bathroom." When he sees that there is a code he asks her for it and she responds "you're going to have to wait." Another employee is called who responds "fuck are you the one who needed the code?" The Coordinator at this location named MARISOL S. Gave the worst consumer service. My sister handed her the shoe's she wanted to purchase and she began asking "why did she try on the shoes before we paid?". And I know that's what you do when you come here, you have the chance like everyone else to try on the shoe with the protective sleeve they provide here. With her judgmental attitude and questioning we decided to no longer purchase the shoes and as if she owned the store she turned around with the shoe's in hand thinking I was not looking at her and make a horrible donkey face sticking her tongue out as she throws the shoe's in the return bins they have behind the cash register. She was on cash register number 7 this happened today 11/18/23 about 11:57am. I was calm and let her know that was not right of her to do and called her out. I also went over to the manager and calmly explained what had happened. Look out for her if you come here guys. The company can check the cameras if they want to keep this person taking care of their loyal customers and proceeds to belittle the costumer and coworkers. This was not the first time I have encountered this person with this issue but today was enough. We are kind customers and don't not need to tolerate this type of service or bullying. Nicely stocked with some great options at affordable prices. Reading through the reviews there's a lot of 1-stars for service etc. I don't know what their experience was, but let's be cognizant that it's a Marshall's not a Tiffany's LOL. And for that, it's not too bad. When I went in the shelves were neatly stocked. Some things could be arranged better and some were missing price tags, but overall not bad. I went in, browse around, took what I liked and stood in line at the checkout. They've upgraded the checkout to have cleaning in between customers, 6-feet apart guidelines, plastic barriers and gloves to protect everyone. I checked out and left. I don't know why so many complaints about "service". It's a department store - and perfectly good to go in, look around, and buy things you like. It's got some great options mainly for home and clothing, and the Marshalls price is always reasonable. Just be warned though that prices have been increasing, and that reasonable doesn't necessarily mean affordable.. Hey guys if you like our reviews, please like or share. This location is a hit or miss whether or not you find nifty items! I either find a bunch of stuff i do not need lol or a bunch of stuff i "need" lol. The employees here are average, nothing crazy, never had an issue with customer service. I hate the parking lot in this little plaza, literally the worst! Will not return to this location. The problem was with the staff - seriously awful. Apparently crime is so horrendous in this area, that they lock up many things. All I wanted was to see something in the accessory area. One sales person was helping another customer with purses and one was restocking (or looking at things) on a little shelf. Apparently only 1 person could help people see items that they potentially wanted to buy. The worse part was the attitude of the sales people when I asked for help. One woman rolled her eyes and then as she walked past the other sales person proceeded to engage them in conversation while glaring at me like I had asked for something that I shouldn't have asked for. If I hadn't needed the item so badly, I would have walked out. So...they got my money this one time but I will never, ever return due to the horrific customer service. If the store is going to lock up so many items, then they need to hire enough people to take care of the customers that want to look at the item. Not that this would make me return - I don't want to shop in a store, in an area, that apparently has such high levels of crime. read more

I am done D.O.N.E. done with this Marshalls. I live nearby. I frequent this Marshalls way too often. I've really never had such a bad customer service experience as today. This is truly a rarity for me to use Yelp to just complain about one experience but I'm just praying that someone who oversees this store will read this (and all these other reviews that say the same thing) and clean house of these people who should not be working in retail! I tried to buy a frying pan. First, the customer service associate could not manage to get off the security tag. Fine, I was patient as she tried, another tried, another, and finally, some woman called from the back who was, I suppose, a manager (I use that in the loosest sense). Still unable to get the tag off with the machine, they began hacking at it with scissors. I finally chimed in with "You'll probably need wire cutters." They couldn't get it off but I said I would just do it at home and they agreed, but as the manager was leaving, she was like "check the tag because that price doesn't seem right". So, the girl starts asking around for someone to do a price check. I was not acknowledged or told what the issue was. She cancelled out the order while my credit card was in the machine. At this point, it had been 15 minutes since I came to the register and I am no closer to actually purchasing this frying pan. I wait a little longer and then finally ask "what is happening? Can I buy this pan or what?" She then tells me, "not unless we can find the exact same pan with a price tag on it." Ummmm, what? Remember, this pan did have a price tag. But suddenly, after I was already paying for it, they decide that isn't the price, and I cannot buy it. Long story short (too late). I called the store a few hours later to complain about this appalling customer service but pretty sure I ended up with the same "manager" who doubled down and even, without much couth, accused me of "switching tags". She also said there is no possible way they would sell this pan for $29.99, because it should be way more expensive. Could this lady actually be working in the customer service field? I've probably spent over a thousand dollars at this store in the last nine months. Like I said, D.O.N.E. and really this "manager" needs to consider another line of work. Follow up! I regularly shop at Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Home Goods. I decided to return a sweater at this location since I was in the area. Unbeknownst to me, it was originally sold to me with the brand tag missing. When the cashier looked up the item number on the attached price tag, it was identified as a jean jacket, instead of a sweater. I had no idea why and explained the sweater was in the exact same condition as originally purchased. She walked away after agreeing to check the floor for the same sweater, then suddenly came back to tell me her manager, SUZANNE L., would not allow the floor check. Period. I was surprised and asked to speak with Suzanne. Suzanne came over and was immediately defensive, rude and unwilling to help. She kept talking over me repeatedly saying she would not accept the return because "her store would never sell an item without the brand tag since they know better." I left and immediately went to another Marshalls, explained what happened, and was treated like an actual customer. Without question, the manager apologized to me for Suzanne's behavior and accepted my return. He gave me the number to report my complaint to upper management, which I plan on doing first thing tomorrow. This is a discount store, so I don't expect Nordstrom treatment; however, this is the first time any employee, yet alone a "manager," was so insulting, unaccommodating, rigid, and offensive. Omg love marshalls. For my kids clothes to all my home decor . The best prices ever. This location is good just have trouble finding parking on weekends with all the stores that share the same lot. I've only been to one better marshalls and believe it or not it is in the city of Moreno valley / bordering Riverside. That is the only one I think is better. I go to more mediocre marshalls than anything but this on is about a B. They are somewhat organized. Sometimes I wished they had more coverage in the front Cuz the lines could get backed up but that's about it. No hassle exchanges with receipt. I come here at least once a month. Well not this one specifically but since I travel alot I go to a few but this one is closest to my house and better than most of them inventory wise. read more

Unfortunately, my experience here, at this particular marshals was very poor. From the employees that were stocking some of the products walking completely in front of me without an excuse me ; to the cashier not saying a word ..just scanning my stuff, slowly placing it in the bag without any type of organization or even caring about what's going in the bag because he never cared to look at me or place it in there. Told me my total and said have a good day ..as soon as I walked away the very next person he said hi ma'am, did you find everything OK, I never got that courtesy. He (tall with not much hair) didn't say any words to me. I am here on March 11 at 3:57 PM. I just got in my car I will not be coming back to this Marshalls which I know they could careless but I will keep telling those that look similar to me that this is not a place that welcomes all people. Those in the area may come here frequently and probably have good experiences and that's great for you that does NOT invalidate my experience which is why I'm leaving this review. I was there Saturday morning ! Worst experience I've had at any Marshall's . Two of the employees who were stalking were extremely rude ! One of them ran me out of the clearance isle saying "oh I'm working here " the other employee literally ran over my toes reaching over me while I was shopping in the clothes racks ! I don't understand if they need more time to stock or fix the store open at a later time I'm not sure if that protocol to block out customers from isles ! I was very annoyed . read more
