Over 2 hours for an oil change is RIDICULOUS!!!! That's with an appointment!! Jiffy lube gets you in and out in 20 minutes!! Waste of time!!

I have had nothing less than outstanding experiences at Martin Mazda. Today was no different. I walked in to schedule a service and to retrieve my license plates. While I was there I decided to cash in a free car wash. During my wait I explained to John, (the person working the desk) that I would be stepping out for a minute to retrieve my plates from the dealership side. He said he could page to have them dropped off while I wait comfortably in the waiting area. When my car was done being washed I was pleasantly surprised to know that not only had John paged to have my plates dropped off but also had them installed! These are the sort of experiences that will make a return guest out of me. read more

First an interview was scheduled with Joe for a position as a technician, and the morning of the interview I received a message from Joe to push bak the interview 30 minutes, I accepted and came in at the new scheduled time just to be kept waiting 15+ minutes so I left and sent a message to acknowledge my leave. Joe replies back saying that he was not informed I was waiting and asked to reschedule, I accepted as people deserve a second chance. I came in to the next scheduled interview and I was kept waiting yet another 15+ minutes so I left again. Here is another review, I haven't wrote a review in a while so I have to catch up, so I'm starting with my visit to Martin Mazda. I had a 7:45am appointment with my wife's Mazda 6 for recall repairs. I walked in and was greeted by Joe Novotny the service mgr. and I must say that he is a shining example of what customer service should be. He asked me a few questions and took my key and within 10 minutes the what in pre stage before going into the main garage. within an hour another service writer came and told me what needed to be fixed and within another hour it what done, not only they fixed the primary recall but they fixed another recall I was not aware of......KUDOS!!!! Now for the point system... fast and courtesy service 10 clean customer lounge area 10 bathroom cleanliness 10 customary beverages 10 Any one who owns a Mazda I recommend seeing Joe Novotny and his staff at Martin Mazda. read more

DONT BUY FROM MARTIN MAZDA!!!! Horrible sales department!!! They don't wan't your business and they make it obvious. For example, a salesman was talking to me about a car and explaining all its features; then a tall older tan man comes out to the car - I say are you letting me know you're closed and he said, very sternly, "we were closed seven minutes ago". At that point -- I replied - well all you have to do is tell me you're closed and I'll leave - I'm sorry for keeping you the extra seven minutes and I won't be back... Very, very rude and uncalled for. I would understand if my sales person (that I was working with) told me that they were closed, but for the other salesman to come out and tell me "they were closed seven minutes ago" was very ignorant!!!! This place is fantastic. I feel like I have been going to low rate service centers before Martin. I had a scheduled oil change on a Saturday. I brought my car in 20 mins early, but they took me right away. They are very polite and everyone had masks on. The waiting area has a nice coffee machine with a wide selection and there is a TV. Chairs are separated to keep distance. They had me out in under an hour and even washed my car for me. They were fantastic!! I will go there from now on for my Mazda. read more

I have been a loyal customer at Mazda since 2013. Normally a friendly visit for my cars routine maintenance. Unfortunately this time I receive below par service. After taking my car for steering issues I received my car back and told everything was working fine. Upon my finding a few days later the steering is still not correct in fact it's horrible and now the brakes are worst. I contacted the service center for assistance i finding out what is wrong with car. They requested I bring it in. Prior to bringing my car in I completed the normal survey requested my honest opinion on current services. (So far not good). Now inconvenienced once more to have my car looked at AGAIN. When I picked up my vehicle this time the service member states "I saw your survey" I quickly state yes there were something's missed during the 1st service. He decides he would like to argue with me about it. I immediately request my keys and leave out. As a business I should not have to argue with you about a survey or my opinion about your business. And instead of owning up the issue you want to argue. Unfortunately this has put a bad taste in my mouth about further business and I do not recommend anyone to use this service center for repairs. read more

There is always ups and downs when it comes to a dealership. With very few downs, and many more ups this made it a 5 star pre-owned dealership. So here is how to get the best price. Call and ask for Al R. He is one of the managers. 1. Figure out which car you want 2. Get the stock number 3. Ask what the best price is. 4. You may have a little room to negotiate further but for me I was happy with the best price 5. Then ask for the out the door price so you know what fees they charge. 6. Ask to speak to Rick Jr. so he can help with the paperwork. 7. Get to the dealership 8. Test drive the car 9. Buy the car 10. Drive away a very happy Martin customer Lastly, know that Martin stands behind all of there cars with a 1000 mike warranty. Unlike other car dealerships especially pre owned they fill the car with gas and professionally detail it. We could not be happier! I will be back for another car in the future. read more

I left the shop happy received great care from the team and Matt. I had to return same day because my CX9 began doing a weird vibrating that it WAS NOT doing prior to service. The tech that test drove it after my return at first felt nothing. Driving off I again felt it VERY STRONG. I returned again and asked the tech to drive with me. HE FELT IT! I was told to drive it and if it continues bring it back. Point is I don't feel comfortable driving it this way and it WAS NOT DOING THIS PRIOR TO TODAYS SERVICE. I have to drive to NY by Sunday so asked could I leave it so it can be rechecked Saturday b4 my trip. John said "U could leave it but we can't look at it for a week." I explained again that I have major doctor appointments in NY all week Mon thru Friday and need my car plus the problem it is experiencing I didn't come in with!!! He repeated won't be able to get to it for a week!!! I initially requested service for an oil change Thurs and was told Friday was only available. I accepted and was informed at service rear brakes we needed. And I purchased them not understanding being treated this way $270 later!! NEVER LEFT MARTIN MAZDA feeling this way b4 they always made me feel valued as a customer!!! I did have to return after service once b4 in the past but they apologized and quickly fixed the problem !!! I'M VERY UPSET TO THE POINT OF TEARS HAVING TO TRAVEL TO NY AND TO VARIOUS DOCTORS THROUGHOUT NY ALL WEEK WITH THIS WEIRD UNUSUAL UNCOMFORTABLE VIBRATING. The point of service was so I'd feel safe and ready for my trip. I read online that vibrating can often be caused by tire rotation or improper balancing. I'm no mechanic but the only thing besides brakes and oil that was done was tire rotation so perhaps this is the problem. The team is usually super kind especially Matt!!! ( just met John today)... and am here crying angry and truly disappointed. read more

Service Dept needs improvement I would like to start out by commending the sales team on excellent performance. They are professional and courteous and helped me immensely when I purchased my vehicle. I only wish I could say the same about the service department. On the heels of 2 separate incidents my opinion of them has soured greatly. First, I brought my car in to plug a leak, a routine fix. Service was performed and I was sent on my way. The very next day, after having driven nowhere but home from the dealer my tire was flat again. When I brought it back they repaired it again and when I asked why it was flat again the response was "Oh uh you had another nail in it". Reminder I hadn't been anywhere but 8 miles to my home. Second incident today 10/17/13, I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change. When I got the car back the check engine light was on. When I asked why I was told oh something must have tripped it recently and was asked if I had put gas in it recently as the light will come on if the cap isnt put back on tight enough. I reiterated that the light was NOT on when I dropped the car off and was now ON when I was preparing to leave. I was given a very vague run around response and the proposed solution was for me to pay to have the vehicle inspected to see what caused the light to come on. There's a few problems here. 1) My car came in one way and left another. 2) The technician's complete unwillingness to address the fact that it wasnt until the car was serviced there that the light came on. I have a huge problem with this and the combined 2 incidents have led me to no longer bring my car to Martin Mazda for service nor do I recommend anyone else to go there. I have been a loyal customer for 3 years now and this is not the level of service or customer service I expect from someone I'm paying money to. I will never spend another dime there and caution others to make sure everything is correct with their vehicles when they get them back or better yet DO NOT give them your business. read more

While we were happy with Brooke, who we originally dealt with and set our appointment with, we were less than thrilled about our actual experience. Brian seemed nice enough at first, but then got very pushy when we got back from our test drive. He talked about how great the car was on the test drive, but never explained why or any of the features of the car, more assuming we already knew. Then when we got back and expressed interest in buying, he automatically threw credit applications in our face, without discussing what we thought of the car or having any further conversation. When we asked what the price of the car was, he immediately tried to tell us it depended on our credit. I was very up front about my mom being in the car business and he still tried to play the "car salesman" games with us. I corrected him and told him that while our payment may depend on our credit, the price of the car does not. He got very defensive when we kept pushing, at which point we got up and left. We went home and located the car online (I hated to do that, but we weren't going back there) and went and bought it the next morning. After this experience, I will not go back to Martin even for an oil change. It was clear that when it came down to it, it was all about the sale, not the customer. read more

So I have had my car there 4 times for the same issue and it's still not fixed. I got Tom Baker, their operations manager involved and was told that he was unhappy with how I was treated and that I should contact him directly with any issues. Today, the entertainment system stopped working in my 2016 car with 2700 miles on the odometer. I texted Tom as he requested. Rather than reply to me, he sent a message to someone, I am not sure who, calling me "your buddy Rodger." Only- he did not realize that he replied to me with that message accidentally. I have since asked him to clarify what he meant and he is ignoring me. This dealership obviously thinks it doesn't have to treat it's customers well. What they don't realize is that with NuCar Mazda less than 5 miles away, we have choices. I do not recommend this place to anyone, and I will be telling everyone I know including my clients. The best part is that in my message (screen shot attached) I mention that I may want to trade my car, offering him business as a purchase customer, and he ignored that. Martin Mazda mailed oil change coupons for $29.95 and synthetic for $39.95. When I asked for synthetic I was told the cost would be $79.95. I said I had a coupon but the service writer said that that reduced price was only for a certain grade that Martin Mazda could buy in bulk. No where on the coupon did it state that fact. I love Mazda products... I own two Mazda cars. But this service department is shady at best. Classic bait and switch tactics. read more
