Service was quick . Now why the 1 star? I asked how much vehicle inspection was and I was told $40.00. I agreed because I needed the service but at the same time I thought why they didn't charge $37.00- the legal state charge for the service. As I handed the $40 dollars over I asked why that price as opposed to $37 and the response was "we have no change". Why not just say that instead of overcharging ? Some May say its only $3 bucks, well o see more to it . Someone with only $37 bucks would have left because Martys auto body is charging $40 because there no change . Originally came here for my annual auto inspection, since I live nearby. When I needed my brakes replaced, I came here again and got an estimate. They actually completed the work below the estimated price, which is unheard of. When my car had problems with wobbly steering, I brought my car back here to get it fixed. The guys lifted my car and showed me the uneven tread on the tires, then gave me an estimate with the itemized breakdown of parts and labor. My car now drives like a dream. I was planning to get a new car but now I won't have to, as long as I keep it maintained at Marty's. read more

Our friend accidentally scraped and dented our Honda CRV and we brought it in to Marty's. They tried a quick method of suctioning out the dent but that didn't work so they ended up reshaping and repainting the door. It looks like brand new. They were wonderful to work with and provided an affordable price. Tough to come by in the city. We recommend them to all of our friends. They also do state inspections. read more

I went for my first inspection for my 2024 Acura and they over charged me to 40$. The car is 1 year old which means it should be less than 40$ for the first inspection. Plus they did not give me a print out of the inspection just a receipt for 40$. Highly do not recommend this place..go to Brooklyn queens or the Bronx for better quality people and prices. Scammers for the ages. I give a b for effort he put forth in the scam. Hes the reason auto body repair shops have a bad rap, and this place - Joey - the employee i dealt with this time. Over the years i used them sporadically from medium cost jobs to state inspections. He used my car inspection to pass someone elses car and then told me my brakes were bad and needed to get fixed to pass inspection. Hes a "pos" racist. He wanted $500 to fix the brakes that had 65% left. Total scumbag. I have a decent and car worked hard for it. Hes a racist. Successful "white" people beware of this a hole. read more

Made sense because it has been driven a lot. Everyone was pleasant and courteous and car was fixed next day. It was expensive but half the bill was the cost of 4 new tires. I used this place for years and recommended it to my friends. Need to set the record straight now. I think it is under new ownership, and it's a den of thieves. Called about having a side-view mirror replaced, they quoted me "At least $200, two hours labor." They also did not want to use the replacement mirror I had ordered saying "That would void your warranty." Translation: we want to order the part and sell it to you at a profit. Had the mirror replaced for $75 at Midtown Auto Repair, which I do recommend. They did it while I watched. It took less than five minutes. Never going to Marty's again. read more

They tried to scam/cheat me by tricking me into buying four new brakes that I didn't need. I tell the staff that all I need is to get the ny state inspection, and the workers there look at my car for at most 30 seconds, and tell me I need to have all of my brakes changed for $600. They didn't know that I just got my car fully checked and serviced at the dealership three months ago so I knew they were lying. Instead I went to my dealership and got my car taken care of. They check my brakes and said they're perfect. Don't go to these guys they'll cheat you! read more

I just needed to do the inspection on the car and being as I don't have a regular mechanic, I was expecting a hassle and did not know where was the best place to go. I was pleasantly surprised to pull in to the garage and was immediately greeted by a very helpful, friendly guy. This place is horrible. They double charged my card after I paid in cash and then want me to track down their book keeper to get it settled. That's unprofessional.
