Me and my families favorite sushi spot locally in town. Been coming here for years! Highly recommend! Food, service, ambiance always good here!

"OH MY GOD, IT IS SO BIG" were my husband's first words when the WOW ROLL came out. Then he said, "IT IS THE BIGGEST AND THE BEST", exactly what every girl wants to hear. When you walk in, you are treated like family, with offerings of the most delicious food. There are rolls for $8.45 and they are delicious and picture worthy. You will love 'Siri, Judy like most of Corona does.

Never feel one byte of disappointment of this place. Starting from the sweet and warm greetings upon entering the premises until the great meal we enjoyed. We did ordered the 'tempura veggie' and also the Marui Combo (kinda surprise menu from assorted chosen sushi from the Chef). Veggie Paradise (Tempura Veggie) is crunch and delish while the assortment sushi was nice and a lot for $30. The meal we ordered good for 2 people and we felt full. Additionally there is promo going on 50% off on sake & beer that time. So we got Large Sake for $5. Vibe was great there was TV showing the soccer game with some upbeat music in the background. Everything went great and we are glad to be returning again when in the area!

I was working in Corona, and my brother who happens to live there, decided to have lunch here at Marui Sushi. I am a big sushi guy so I said yeah let's go. Really convenient spot with lots of parking. The restaurant is pretty big for a sushi place, a lot of tables and a couple of booths inside, sushi bar as well if you want to see your fresh sashimi being made. Japanese ladies are all pretty friendly and attentive. They're all working together taking orders and bringing food to the tables, teamwork which is really good. For starters we got some miso soup, shrimp tempura and fried calamari. They top the calamari with red onions which is new to me, never had it like that but it's a good touch. Gives the calamari an extra crunchiness and well as some tanginess. The sauce that came with it was good. The shrimp tempura was amazing, the tempura batter was perfection. Super crunchy and tasty, I just thought the tempura sauce needed a lot more flavor. Super simple and blunt sauce. Ended up using the calamari sauce which had a bit more flavor. Miso was just, miso soup. Simple but good. For our rolls we got the shrimp lovers roll and the baked scallops roll. Shrimp roll was good, they just forgot to top it with the tempura flakes which was supposed to have, makes a huge difference! Gotta pay attention on that. The baked scallops roll was definitely the winner tho. Scallops were fresh, I could really taste that sea side on them. Rolls were pretty big, nice portions, that's why we had no space for dessert. Cool and friendly spot, if I lived in the area I'd definitely come back.

We got here a little late after a baseball game. Only place open past 9pm. We walked in with 5 adults and 6 kids...service was great! Both women that helped us did a great job of making sure we didn't feel rushed or uncomfortable for walking in a little bit before they closed! Ambiance was a cool sushi spot, nothing crazy but very inviting nonetheless! Best part was the food! We had spicy garlic edamame, sashimi, sushi, teriyaki plates, gyoza...the sushi and sashimi pieces were amazingly fresh and such big pieces! Icing on the cake and the cherry on top was alcohol and hot sake was 50% off! We will see u soon Marui!

Was in the area waiting for a service to be done on my car and decided to have lunch here. We were promptly greeted and seated in a booth. My husband and I both opted for lunch combinations, which were served with miso soup and steamed rice. I chose teriyaki salmon and sashimi (tuna and salmon). The teriyaki salmon was perfectly cooked with a slight charred/grilled flavor that I enjoy; and the sashimi was fresh and tasty as well. Portion was perfect and filling for lunch and we both left satisfied. Marui is a hidden gem!

Don't sleep on this location. Our sushi was bomb. We ordered the crunchy rolls , miso soups, and heart attack (jalapeño). Service was great. Our food came quickly. We took food to go and even reheated it was really good.

Hands down the best sushi in Corona - Norco area. The quality of the fish along with the generous portions makes it stand above the rest. This is NOT an AYCE place and Marui has stood the test of time being in business for 18 years. Regulars and new comers are always welcomed as they walk in the door usually by Bruce, Grace or Sunny. There is always a good vibe inside as the place is usually pretty full.

Super sushi roll they are to die for eat once and your spoiled

I can't say enough about this place, it's my sushi home. Bruce (owner) and his wonderful wife have been in my life for over 15yrs and that's how hong I've been coming here. Just read the reviews you will see why I love this place.

Paid extra for rice paper, no rice paper for a simple California roll. Sloppily wrapped. Pathetic. $20 Cajun tuna and asparagus salad had 4 small pieces of asparagus and and oily dressing with no flavor.

Honestly, I ate the appetizers way too fast for my own good. I didn't even have a chance to take a picture of them. We ordered: fried squid legs, takoyaki, fried soft shell crab, jalapeno poppers, miso soup, and baked mussels. I mean yes of course we ordered the sushi and sushi rolls, but to be honest I feel like a sushi place has to have good apps for it to make me think it's good!! For the sushi, the rice portion was fair! Additionally all the fish we ordered was very fresh. We also were offered carpaccios on the menu. So delicious. Very cool to have a Mexican Japanese fusion with sushi! The avocado sauce that topped some of the dishes was super delicious! One of the things I did not like were the salads. The pictures of the salad were a little misleading. I ordered avocado salad and it was pictured as like 2 avocados sliced on a bed of lettuce but when received it, there was actually a lot of salad and only 3 slices of avocado. The service was really fast! They responded quick to our needs and requests. We were part of the first group of customers and I was worried the staff would have been overwhelmed with way too many orders at the very start of the day, however it was really swift and organized. The restaurant is super clean and there really is a lot of space in between the chairs and tables. I always have a bit of a complaint when the restaurant feels crowded but this one is perfectly spaced. I don't have any complaints for the interior. Parking is also very easy! Spacious and lots of spots! Price was very fair. Lunch special pricing is $30 a person and kids are charged by height. Parties of 5 of more have an auto gratuity.

The restaurant got a full makeover and the new menu is such an upgrade. The food quality has improved so much since our last visit. We loved the dumplings and kimchi stew, and the garlic pork belly skewers do not play. Easily one of our favorite dishes of the night. We're so happy to see this place turn things around. If you're in Corona and craving Korean food, this is definitely worth a visit. It's great to finally have a solid local spot nearby.

I ordered tuna gimbap and the hot stone bibimbap. I was delightfully surprised and grateful when soup came at the same time as my banchan since I was really hungry. Just as I was finishing my soup, the bibimbap arrived. The bibimbap was so delicious! I loved that fact that I also got a bottle of gochujang along with it so I could add as much as I wanted as I ate my meal. I really wish jajangmyeon was on the menu, I feel like that is a dish that is pretty popular and with the lack of Korean restaurants in the IE, it's a dish I would've thought would be on the menu. The menus are very simple and don't have pictures, but there are plenty of tvs displaying pictures of menu items. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the ambiance was nice. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm craving bibimbap.

Nice offering of Shio, Shoyu, Miso, Tonkatsu or Chicken ramen. Noodles are perfectly cooked with the perfect bite, firm, springy and chewy.. Gyozas are piping hot with a crispy wrapper. Anyway... After perusing through the menu, which had quite a few blacked out items (black tape applied over the menu item) we both decided on the Tonkatsu Spicy Black Ramen Noodles as well a the Crispy Fried Rice appetizer... the appetizer was delivered but I had to request some small individual plates so that we could eat off of our own plate, rather than reaching over trying to share the same plate and making a mess on the table... no worries, small oversight (or so I thought at the time)... Next came the Ramen... Looked very appetizing, but again I had to get up and request a couple of soup spoons... went to dig in, and while the bottom of the bowl was warm, the broth itself was quite cold... after calling over the waitress and asking them to please reheat (even if they had to use the microwave)... the waitress took it back to the "open" kitchen and they used the microwave to reheat... The bowls were returned and as we started to eat, satisfied that the broth was indeed hot, we noticed a couple of items missing: the corn - no corn in the broth like it was described... in addition to that, no Wood Eared Mushrooms were in the broth either... the wood eared mushrooms set the "black" apart from the standard ramen and cost $.50 more per serving... when questioned about it, the hostess informed us that they didn't have any mushrooms... as a consolation, she offered us one of the "extra price" toppings in place if it... we opted for the tofu... a bowl of tofu pieces came out and although they appeared to have steam coming off of it, the tofu was cold as well... smh... The hostess returned them to to kitchen to be reheated... We received a 10% discount ($4.90 of of a $49 bill)... Not sure if they're going to make it with this level of service and food quality... Good Luck!

Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen had solid reviews, so we decided to pivot and give it a try. First impression: the menu is extensive. It's one of those places where you almost don't know where to start. The fan favorites are marked with a red flower, which helped narrow things down. We also asked our server for suggestions, which made it easier to navigate. We arrived just before 5pm and there was only one other table. We were told to sit anywhere we'd like. By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and it seemed like there were quite a few regulars coming in. Here's what we tried: Salted edamame: Just average. A bit limp and not as crisp as I'm used to, so they didn't feel especially fresh. Gyoza: Really nice flavor and the dipping sauce was well balanced. These were solid. Yellowtail jalapeño sashimi: This was different in a good way. It had cilantro and a slightly sweeter sauce instead of the traditional garlic ponzu. Unexpected, but a pleasant surprise. Crispy chicken karaage: Slightly over fried but still flavorful. The dipping sauce helped. Crispy rice with spicy tuna: Just okay. One piece barely had tuna on top. Not bad, but not something I'd reorder. Cucumber salad: Served on a bed of iceberg lettuce, which surprised us, but the dressing had great flavor. This disappeared quickly. Nigiri: The salmon was incredibly fresh and one of the highlights. The albacore and toro came topped with fresh wasabi, which was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the salmon and albacore. The toro didn't quite melt in your mouth like we hoped. It was a bit chewy. Crazy Salmon Roll: Good flavor, but note that the salmon on the outside is fully cooked. We expected raw, so just something to keep in mind. Snow Mountain Roll: A fan favorite at the table. Great texture and flavor. Plain udon and plain ramen: Both were excellent. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. We definitely over ordered, but we left very full. One small detail for fellow tea lovers: I always look forward to hot tea at a Japanese restaurant, especially when it's served in a small pot you can refill at the table. Here it was hot water with a tea bag in a metal cup, which was too hot to comfortably hold, and there was no teapot provided. Not a deal breaker, but next time I'd probably skip the tea. Service was strong. In addition to our main server, two other team members checked in and refilled water regularly, which we appreciated. Overall, I'd call it a 3.5 if that were an option, so I'm landing at 3 stars. The food was decent, the atmosphere comfortable, and the service attentive. It didn't completely wow us, but we're glad we tried it.
