If you need an honest, knowledgeable, and fairly priced auto repair shop near Gold River or Rancho Cordova, I'd definitely recommend them. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. It's hard to find a shop that does quality work at reasonable prices, but 916 Auto Repair has done that for me. Definitely recommended.

I contacted 916 Auto after doing a 2 and half week research (which included Yelp and Google…read moreReviews) to have my 2004 Mazda 3 AC Condenser (Factory OEM) replaced. My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! Have fun out there & do your research!

It's smog check up the road, and so I needed to drive it about 50 miles or so to "reset the car's computer, " before it would pass . I decided to stop here for an oil change before I did that, as the car was way overdue. I was helped by Mike. He's helped me before, he's always thorough, friendly, and helpful. He got me checked in, he told me the different options for an oil change, and I told him which one I wanted. They did the oil change, and I was out in about 15 to 20 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable. Everything was great. Before I left, on the side, I happened to mention that I had needed the oil change because of the smog check. He said, oh, before you take the car back to the smog shop, stop in here, we will do a pretest to make sure you drove enough to reset the computer. I said, no charge? Nope That was nice of him. I drove 45 miles "up the hill" to Pollock Pines, to look at all of the pretty new snow. I came back, it took less than five minutes to do the pretest, and he told me, "green lights all the way." I took the car back to the smog shop and passed with flying colors. As I mentioned, I've always gotten great service here at Danny's. Thank you, Mike, for taking that extra step for me. I truly appreciate it. I will be back.

If you look at the rare 1 star reviews, there are numerous inconsistencies, versus the numerous 5 stars in addition to the transparency provided by this shop. Today, I requested a diagnostic of a specific issue. I was already aware of what it "could" be and Danny took the time to show me what the issue was...a wheel bearing. it can be nice when the customer and the business end up on the same page. Sometimes that doesn't happen. Customers really should understand how the process works and how a business is run before getting "triggered". Always competitive pricing and this shop can do it all. Excellent customer service and they have an excellent shuttle service as well!

I found this place online with rave reviews and its close to my home so I figured I would give it a shot. I scheduled online for an appointment, but then 2 days before my appointment I had an opening in my schedule so I called to see if they can get me in early and they told me to come on down. I went in to drop off my vehicle and they were super nice and friendly and gave me a 5pm estimated pick up time, and it was actually ready an hour before that. They called and told me its ready for pick up. When I arrived to get my vehicle, they went over pictures and what they saw but there was no up-charge, no additional fees nothing like you see at dealerships. The price I was quoted online was the price i paid. I will be coming back with all my vehicles, Im glad I found Gold River Automotive!

I happened to be in a dead zone when they called, but I returned the call just eight minutes later and they were already closed. When I called back today Friday around 12:30 and asked about my quote, the gentleman said, "I tried to call you yesterday." I explained that I had received the message and called back shortly afterward. His response? "Yeah, we close at 5 and have lives." Seriously? He quoted me around $395. When I mentioned their $30-off coupon, the response was basically, "Oh, okay, I guess." Then I simply asked what their hours were tomorrow, Saturday since I mentioned I was out of town for work. Instead of just saying they were closed, he AGAIN responded with, "We have lives." I'm well aware that employees have lives outside of work. I never expected anyone to stay late or come in on their day off. I simply asked normal questions that any customer should be able to ask without being met with sarcasm and attitude. The car WAS repaired at Gold River Automotive, but we will absolutely never return. You can be the best mechanic in town, but if this is how you speak to paying customers, eventually they will take their business somewhere they are treated with basic respect. "We have lives" -- apparently customer service just isn't part of them. Services A/C installation & repair
