I mistakenly booked with Ms. Lisa but I admitted my mistake so I'd give it a try. However, she turned her smile off right away and became very impolite at the 1st moment. I received her service in an unprofessional way - rude, rough and she was very mean to me. I was saying TWICE to be more gentle/easy please during the 90 minutes session and she was NOT responding also NOT changing her service style at all. To have been an EV member over a year under different locations, I was appreciated with all the therapists I had met, and grateful to receive the care in the past. Today was a very bad one and made me more concerned. How can the therapist treat a customer with an attitude? Or, how can the therapist just do whatever she wants to but ignore the request from the customer? I have been trying to cancel my membership for over 4 weeks. I called twice and was told I had to go in person! But when I emailed, the assistant manager was frustrated by me, saying she didn't know why I was writing them. I've emailed back clarifying to cancel my 2 memberships and sent it 4 days ago and know response. The last time my daughter went, they cancelled on her as she walked in the door. She has now moved out if the area. I have been clear with them and they aren't cancelling. They convince you to sign up on a membership. It feels so frustrating!!! read more

I wish I could leave more stars. The massage itself was OK. Nothing to rave about. It wasn't the worst massage I've been given, but definitely not close to top 10. I've been trying to find a consistent massage place to go to, but I'll keep searching because this is not the one. I booked a one hour with hearthstone and I was still getting undressed at 10:06 on her time so I know she couldn't have started before 1010 at the earliest, but at 11 o'clock exactly she finished. I still left a tip because she did provide a decent service, but I wouldn't come back to this location. My advice, check the time and maybe I should have mentioned what time she was starting to make sure she knew what time she should finish. Also, if you're looking for a hole in the wall cheaper place, this isn't it. It's one of those chains that has a huge turnaround and a location on every corner, but their prices are what you would expect at a hotel massage place. $160 for a one hour massage with hot stone is pretty pricey in my opinion. I've spent a lot less on really good massages in more expensive areas. The search continues. read more

This location of Massage Envy was OK. Upon arrival I filled out my paperwork, and then decided I wanted to do an aromatherapy, which is an additional charge. It turns out this location only has the "best of" the available scents, I think 4 out of the 10 or so available. Aromatherapy definitely heightens the massage experience, but $10 seems a little ridiculous for what you get. My therapist, Gaby, was amazing. It was easily the best massage I have had in months (for context, I get at least on massage every month). She provided deep pressure and really worked the knots out. I was sore the next day but it was so, so worth it. I felt a million times better post-massage. There are few frills at Massage Envy, and it shows. The blankets on the table were thin and felt scratchy, like they were old and needed replacing. The bathroom was fine, but seems like an easy way to provide a "spa" feel to the business but they don't take that opportunity. Overall this location feels more clinical, more office-y, than it feels like a spa. read more

Massage therapist sat down in chair the whole time to work on my back. Massage was mediocre. Not bad, not great. Front desk & office staff don't wear face masks. I've had the first shot of covid vaccine, so I'm not that worried, but it could be concern for those who are medically vulnerable or haven't had their vaccine yet, if they are worried about possible exposure. I don't remember the name of the lady (she was a short black older women) that did my massage during mine and my fiancés couples massage on Valentines Day but she seemed to have an attitude. She kept sighing and had the demeanor of just absolutely hating her job. I told her that I needed my legs worked on the most, my arms, and my neck but she only did my legs for less than a minute and moved to my feet and dug her thumbs into the arches of my feet and despite verbally and physically showing it hurt... she continued to apply more and more pressure. Almost as if she was purposely trying to hurt me/take her anger out on me. She kept picking up the stool to move around the table to stay sitting. And typically when your massage is over they wait for you outside the door to talk to you about your session but she wasn't there. Chase was my therapist and he was awesome. I get massages monthly, sometimes 2x a month, usually at the reflexology places but occasionally I will go to a spa like massage envy. I've been working out hard so I decided to go here today and I'm so glad I did. Chase hit all of the pain points without me having to tell him where the pain was. Worst customer service, bad experience with the manager Rodger Goldmish. My wife had called on a Sat afternoon to see if they had openings for a massage for me since I had a back injury that day. My wife specially mentioned that the reason for the last minute appointment was for my back injury. Rodger requested a CC to schedule the appointment so my wife provided the info and booked it. My appointment was set at 7:30pm Due to major pain and unable to move around nor get out of bed, I called at 6pm to cancel the appointment and the receptionist named Cat, was not able to help until she spoke to Rodger. After waiting for one hour to get a call back, Cat said that they would charge me $150 for not canceling within 24 hrs! This is insane! Rodger the manager didn't even want to talk to me which is very unprofessional and Cat the receptionist was not helpful at all. Roger the manager is useless and unprofessional, he gives the name brand (massage envy) a bad rep and I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I received a gift certificate for Massage Envy a while ago and figured I better use it. I was worried after reading previous reviews but I will fairly say that my visit was pleasant. When I arrived I completed paperwork in a waiting room away from the lobby. I noted on my forms that the purpose of the visit was to relax. The massuse did everything that I asked. She didn't do a lot of talking and applied light to medium pressure. At the end of the massage I was worried that I would have to deal with a pushy sales pitch but I didn't have that experience at all. I was offered a membership but after the first "no" I was able to pay and leave. If your looking for a spa like atmosphere they do fall short on lux and amenities. I usually need serious work on my shoulders, but this time I could barely walk because of plantar fasciitis. Beware of gift packages. They do not stand behind employees that sold gift packages and then have been fired. This is not the customers' fault. They do not try and work with you even after you a paid the full amount. You get different options from each employee and the rules change constantly. I have paid for 12 massages (package deal for my husband and I) and have only used 6. I am losing 6 massages because they don't stand behind what was sold as a Christmas gift. Bad customer service. My last 10/10 massage was in about 8 years ago in Las Vegas with a lady with arms bigger than boyfriend's thighs; I woke up to my own snoring during my session. Needless to say, I found myself in a similar situation (better) at Massage Envy Plano with a young, respectful therapist named Mitchell who did a fabulous job with my tense shoulders and back! 1 star for the following reasons: We had a membership with massage envy in irving tx. When we moved we thought we would get the same service. We were wrong. We had 9 massage saved up and made little sense to keep paying for more until we used up are old massages. When we canceled our membership, they took away all 9 without telling us until it came time to pay. After contacting management they refused to give us any credit, and told us that massage envy in Irving doesn't pay their bills and so they wont be giving us anything unless we buy a new membership with them. Given the fact that we have been paying for so long and have not used the ones we have why would we buy more? This is very disappointing that they would give a long time customer such as us zero customer service. Needless to say we canceled our memberships take every chance we get to tell others about our poor experience. In terms of price it is a little high, given almost all the therapists we had work on us (while we were members) were fresh out of school.
