She asked that I flip to my back, I did and she pointed and asked if I wanted "you know," I politely declined, and she spent about 15 more minutes on the remaining mediocre massage. I got dressed and was leaving when she stopped me and demanded a tip. Not wanting to start a confrinatation I gave her $10.00. she got mad at me, demanded more and went to get help from the boss. I go to a small private gym nearby, and because many of us train hard and regularly need massages for recovery, I've had good experiences at Serenity Spa in the past and felt comfortable recommending this location to several people from my gym. Unfortunately, one of the people I recommended it to recently went with her daughter for a mother-daughter spa day, which was especially disappointing because it was her daughter's first spa experience. According to my friend, during their massages, one of the therapists was repeatedly coughing throughout the service and was also passing gas multiple times. On top of that, one of the therapists was about 10 minutes late to the appointment, yet the session was not extended or otherwise made up for. When you pay for a service for a specific amount of time, I would expect to receive the full amount of time that was purchased. I completely understand that unexpected things can happen, but the combination of the therapist being late, the shortened service, and the overall lack of professionalism made the experience extremely uncomfortable and disappointing. It's especially disappointing to hear this after I had personally recommended the spa based on my previous positive experiences. Unfortunately, if this is the level of professionalism and service being provided, I can no longer confidently recommend this location to others.

After eating, we crossed the street and entered Young Spa. The front desk was empty but there was a price list and we decided on a 60 minute oil massage for $45. A woman eventually came out and sort of just stared at us. I initiated conversation and told her what we'd like, and she just looked really confused. She kept looking back and forth at us, so I pointed to the price sheet. A single man walked in at that moment and asked if a specific female was there. A door in the hallway behind us opened and said woman came out and led the man toward the back. We still had received no response, so I asked if they had time for two one-hour massages. The same confused look was our answer. We sat down in the two chairs in the lobby, unsure what to do - would there be a wait? Would someone else come speak with us? I felt really dirty just being in there all of a sudden. We called a Lyft driver to pick us up and take us home. The man who came in after us left about the time our ride picked us up. Weird - I didn't see 15 minute massage on their list of services.
