Showed the lady named Ivy who was doing my nails a picture. She cut them so short and then filed them down even more short. Then I told her that my right hand was longer than my left, she filed one and then continued, then she got Up, and I looked at my nails as is and they were so thick and uneven and like I said my right hand acrylics were longer than my left hand. Then I told the lady that I will take my nails as is and fix them at home. Then when I was trying to pay she tried to charge me $46, and then I told her and then she charged my $26 so you are telling me the gel nail polish is $20 more. What a rip off and a waste of my time. And I had to go somewhere else to get them fixed, and the other nail lady from a different business was talking about how bad they were and to never go there again. By far the worst experience I've had in 15 years of getting my nails done . I came to master nails for the first time for a removal of my acrylic nails . Checked in at 11:46am wait time was very short about 5 minutes . A male ( I believe by the name of joe he would not give me his name ) sat me down and instantly put my hands both to soak in a solution. 3 separate times they suggested using the fake nail to rip my nails off that is not what I asked for . Soaking them off takes a little more time but way less damage to the nails . I sat soaking for about 25 minutes before a lady asking me to move so she can help me . In this 25 minutes this solution that is supposed to be acetone barely did anything . The lady proceeds to use the drill to file my nails done some ( cutting my finger twice ) so I nicely asked if I can wait for someone who was more familiar with the removal of nails. I let my hands soak another 20 minutes before the man comes back and starts to drill again . I nicely asked if the solution was acetone or something else because I noticed it wasnt working h. He continued to use clippers to rip the nail off ( which I expressed I didn't want done ) . Finally all nails are almost removed he asked if I wanted to cut down and shape . I said " no thank you if you can just buff the top I am ready to go " . He proceeds to tell me " I don't know why you have a attitude when I have tried to help, you have a attitude since you walked in the door I seen it on your face " . Very unprofessional considering I didn't have a attitude at all prior to my services . Upon leaving I took pictures I will attach . I asked the man ( maybe Joe ) for his name and he refused to give me his name and went on to say " why do you want my name so you can make a review . You been in my shop bitching the whole time just get out of here and don't come back " . My nails look horrible I waited and soaked over a hour with horrible customer service . I was a long time customer and the last time I went someone new did my fill, through the process she cut my finger pretty bad. Didn't stop to ask if I was okay or attempted to help me stop the bleeding. I had to tell her to stop so I could get up and wash my finger immediately. Again I was there for a fill and a pedicure and was over charged. After that I decided that I was done with this place. My nails were so hard to get off and when I finally did I found a different salon to go to. The nail technician there took one look at my finger nails and told me that my nails need some time to heal because of the damage that has been done to them on top of which she suggested I see a doctor to make sure I don't have a fungus on my nail because there was a couple spots on my finger nails. I've been going to Master Nails for close to 4 years and I absolutely love Ken and Katie, the shop owners. Ken usually does my nails (I've had every design, nail shape and color you can imagine) but if he's unavailable, I'll go to Katie. Mama and Amy are wonderful for pedicures. Everyone does a great job and always makes sure that customers are satisfied with their work. The salon offers a ton of services from simple gel manis to colored acrylic or gel, an array of pedicure options, waxing and eyelash extensions. Mostly, I enjoy how personable the staff is. They know me by name and are always happy to have me come in whenever I call (I usually call in beforehand as it's difficult for me to keep appointments). They're always willing to fit me in at a time that works best for us. I have been going to this place for 7+ years. Never had an issue or complaint. Cindy is amazing! However had gel manicure done and 6 days later they started lifting and chipping. Called and was told to come in and they would fix. I did go in and of course they wanted to redo manicure at full cost and I declined. As the polishing started I was told they will paint it lower than the normal since I already got a weeks worth. At that point I stated no there is no reason for that and that if I wanted it painted normal to the cuticle I would have to pay. The owner is now talking to me from her station across and instead of coming over and discussing this we had a conversation across other customers. I don't have astronomical expectations when getting my nails done, I do however expect to leave a nail salon satisfied. There is only a few things a nail technician needs to know how to do, it's really not rocket science: filing, cuticles, and color. Filing: my nails are all different shapes . I asked to have my nails made round from square, so what I got is some semi-round, some semi-square, some who knows what... Cuticles: I like my cuticles to be worked over well, pushed up and trimmed. Honestly this is the LAZIEST cuticle cleaning I've ever had! The first time around the technician was pushing up the cuticles, she didn't even touch them! I literally pushed them up my self with my nail when she walked away and had her cut it.... Color: I get get color and like it t last 2-3 weeks. Now, nail color should start ALL the way by the skin otherwise it'll look grown out in a week. It's been a week any nails look like I got them done 3 weeks ago... I got a pedicure here too and everything besides me doing my own cuticles applies to the pedicure as well. I've been here twice and the first time was great. Fast,reasonably priced and my nails looked good. This time I got Ken and I'm disappointed.the first problem was that he put gel on my nails without even asking me if that's what I wanted but I figured "fine,gel lasts longer anyways" but then he kept me under the light to cure the gel for about 10 minutes which I thought was odd especially when I left and I noticed the gel wasn't even totally cured yet and there were little dents all over my nails! Not even a week later and there are chips in the gel (which I have NEVER seen before) and the color has totally worn off of the tips and keep in mind I don't do anything crazy with my hands, I work in an office.
