Master Pizza is my go to local pizza place. It is located on a busy road so the parking can sometimes be a bit difficult, but I usually never have any issues. In the nicer months they have some outside tables and plenty of tables inside. The service is always great! They have a pretty big food menu and also many different options for pizza types. They always have specials going on as well. I have not tried many of the different food options as I typically opt for some of the many different slice options they have out on the counter. They always have a wide array of different slices, and I have never had a bad slice. They definitely have some of my favorite specialty slices in the area. The food is excellent I just took a star away from them as they give you 2 little slices of bread with an entree that costs about $25 I was shocked and my friend said they always do that . It's kind of insulting and looks cheap on their side . I couldn't believe it ! It looks like scraps thrown in the bag . Places I order entrees from give a 1/2 loaf hot and wrapped in foil. This was a complete turn off. Don't bother if you're going to put that in the bag loose as well. Your food is good make it right . read more

Gotta update my Master Pizza review! Master Pizza has become our local go to spot for pizza. Their pizza is always top notch and if my kids are being picky I know they will at least eat a slice of Master Pizza. The inside of the restaurant is still super cute and charming and every time I go the customer service is always so kind. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. And they put up with my last minute request of, "can you make the plainest piece of grilled chicken for my daughter because that's what she apparently wants now, not pizza." Oh, and their pasta is great too! The prices are right and like someone stated below, they sponsor our local kids rec programs and I think that's so wonderful. My daughter played on the Master Pizza softball team last year and she thought she was the coolest person ever. Such a nice surprise today! Took 2 slices home, I have an air fryer and both were great. White slice not too much garlic. Plain slice pure and crispy. If I lived closer I'd be a regular. They shouldn't even call themselves a pizza place. I ordered a pizza for the first and last time, and the dough was so soft and chewy, like it was undercooked. There was no crunch to the crust at all. Just save yourself the trip. read more

We are always pleased with what we order from Master. They are consistent with the quality of ingredients they use. The only issue I've found is that lately, my ability to get my "xtras" with my online orders is gone. Maybe I'm missing something? If you don't pay with cash, the fee increased a bit. Sorry, but I'm feeding 6 of us at a time, and the bill is at least $80! Credit is my friend.... All in all, we will stay with our Chicken/Pear salads, Buffalo Chicken Wraps, Pizzas, and Buttered Orecchiette. We love our delivery people, always so great! Thank you! read more

Solid, solid, solid all around. We made it to the Carlstadt location on a Sunday night. Parking is street parking on a fairly busy road but there also parking on the side streets. So not horrendous. We called our order in and all went smooth and our order was ready upon arrival. Of course, we got the Buffalo Chicken pie for the kid. I snuck a slice and they did it right. Kicking it up a step like few places do with even the slices of celery on top amongst the blue cheese dressing. Crust was slightly chewy but that's always subjective based on one's personal preference. We also got the Brooklyn Square. Perfectly cooked, the sauce was very good. Nice kick to it. The best part about it was that you got a little hit in the taste buds with the provolone mixed with the mozzarella. You gotta be a provolone fan, which I am, so it was very addicting. Only thing was it was slightly floppy but it's obvious because it was sitting in its own steam during a 15 -20 minutes drive back to my town. It would've been VERY crispy if we ate it there. You just know. I also got the Pompeii Wrap which was AWESOME. Grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes, arugula, mozz with a balsamic glaze. Extremely tasty and the mixture of the arugula with sundried tomatoes brought it in for the extra point. Don't snooze on this place. Worth going to all day long. read more

I've been ordering from them for some time for pizza. last couple times {2} that it's been different. pizza I received today had a ri amount of cheese and watery sauce the actual dough was so soaked it was terrible it was also like it was undercooked. no crust so disappointed that they would deliver a pie like that. whoever cooked it had to know... One of my favorite local pizza joints. Their food is really solid from their pizzas to their pastas. I appreciate that my food is always ready at their recommended time frame when I go to pick it up. There's nothing worse than going to pick up food and having to wait a long time because they mistimed their preparation. Their packaging is solid too...no cheap/flimsy materials that could cause leeks or stains. They have a good variety of specialty pizzas and their pastas are well-cooked and have good flavor to them. My personal favorite is their bolognese pasta. The sauce is a bit different than traditional, but packed with flavor. The prices are extremely fair compared to other places as well. The one critique I would have is their execution on some of their pizzas. I don't know if it's an issue of them not cooking the pizza long enough, but I've gone home to find all the toppings/sauce scattered everywhere in the box, which makes for a less than ideal eating experience. I'm always a sucker for a place with a great name.  'Master Pizza' - you can't toot your horn too much more than that, right?  And they're only about five minutes away from 'Liquor Master' on Rt 17S.  (How these two businesses haven't synergically teamed up yet is beyond me.)  And what's not to love when you're looking at their menu on-line and see: "Garlic Bread is served with Garlic, Bread" and that they sell garlic knots starting quantity 3 going all the way up to 96?!  Sold and... sold! Went with the usuals: plain pie, garlic knots (only 6, 96 seemed a bit... excessive). First visit and everything was just... fine.  (The pie was a bit smaller than expected for a 'grande'.) A few months later we tried them again with some different items (including the kids' first time trying jalapeno poppers since they're currently obsessed with the show 'A Good Place' and poppers being Jason's favorite food when he was alive) and it was all... fine.  (My issues the last time being that the cheese on the pizza and inside the poppers seemed barely melted - like they could've used a few more minutes in the oven.  And the garlic knots are just too big and lacking in pop and flavor.) When I logged on to yelp.com and saw that Master Pizza (hitherto, MP) had a less than four-star rating I said, "Fuggeddaboutit!" MP is very delicious, and you can take that one to the bank! Here's how to order from Master's Pizza; it's a little bit different than your run o' the mill pizza joint, but honestly I think their system makes more sense and should be adopted nation-wide. First, you dial a number and wait until somebody picks up and says, "Master Pizza, please hold." Then they put you on hold for a little while, at which point you will listen to their hold message, where a boy or a man (I'm not sure) runs through a list of food items that you can order. He won't respond to anything that you say, but you can still pretend like you're talking to someone. Then someone else will come back on the phone, and you can place your order, by saying, "Imma need the Clams Oreganata, extra clam sauce. And make that medium well." And viola you just ordered from MP! The only complaint I have is that Master Pizza hasn't competed in a pizza making contest against Sal from Sal's on the Corner. Who would win that battle? I have ordered from the catering menu all time in the past. This time, I asked if the shrimp came with pasta. I also asked how many people a half tray would feed. They told me 8-10 ppl. I heard that it does come with pasta. After I got it, there was no side of pasta and the shrimp is definitely not enough for 6 people. Maybe 4 at most, probably more like 3 . This half tray at 50 dollars isn't worth it. It's probably better to just order two dishes of this because it does come with shrimp and pasta. Plus, I was charged a delivery fee and about 3 dollars for using a credit card. When I called back they told me that they said it didn't come with pasta. That there was nothing they could do. Update, and lowered rating: I just picked up a sausage and mushroom stromboli from them because it's late and they're close by, and instead of a hearty portion of mozzarella in there like every other place on the planet, they put... french fries?! I mean, there's a LITTLE bit of mozzarella in there, maybe? Not even sure, to be honest. But clumps of sausage, mini mushrooms, and I kid you not there's french fries. This place has forgotten the pizza and the last time they forgot garlic knots. I called to ask what's up and they said they'll send it out. I spoke to the supervisor and asked if it was an issue they commonly have, maybe they just don't like me because then he threatened to not send the garlic knots I'd already paid for. Tasted as if the slices were sitting out for about a week & they just heated them up before placing them in the pizza box. They didn't taste fresh & they tasted hard. The cheesesteak had a terrible smell and the steak looked old! Absolutely disgusting! The fries were just awful.. tasted like freezer burn. The pinwheel dough was raw through and through even after I threw it in the covectional oven!!! Never again!!!
