Very good pizza. We heard about Master Pizza for years and finally stopped by to pick up a pie after a long walk at the reservoir. It was delicious. They are generous with the penne vodka topping, and it was also al dente and tasty. I also ordered 6 wings for $6.15. The wings were nothing special. The employees weren't the nicest on the phone, but they were okay in person. The pizza was also a bit cold, but that might be because I ordered for pick up. I've tried this place a few times now for pizza and I'm giving up. Every time we order pizza, they say 45 mins for delivery and it literally comes 7 minutes later. Last night on 5/28/2019 at 9:51 pm I got a fraud alert that someone is trying to use my card for a Lyft ride which I declined was me and checked my account ASAP. Food is generally good. Be aware that they charge $4 for credit card use. I personally will not go back to any restaurant that adds a fee for card use. I experienced this in several places that I no longer frequent including Seymour's in Livingston and Tropicana diner in Elizabeth. Restaurants are seeing other restaurants do this and are piling on. If enough people complain or just stop going to those restaurants I think they would discontinue this practice. read more

I order pizza from here a lot. Whether I pick up or it's delivered it is always piping hot and fresh. Not really a dine in spot but they do a booming take out business. They charge for delivery. Who does that these days? Didn't know this until I actually looked at my receipt. I live up the road, do you really need to charge me $1.25? They have tons of coupons you can use - find them online, in the local paper or mailer, but be prepared, they will deduct tax from your coupon. Are you friggin' serious...on all counts? As for the food - nothing to write home about. Whenever we have ordered from here, any fresh veggies we get on the pizza come undercooked and the cheese is falling off because it hasn't cooked all the way through. This will happen even if you ask for it well done. Also be warned - if you don't order a large pie, it will come thin crust. That is how they do it and they don't tell you until you ask why your pizza came thin crust instead of regular. Master is some of the most consistent pizza in the area over the last decade. Forgetting the fact half of the people I know from high school have delivered from here, the delivery is pretty good and most of the cheese stays on the pie. My personal preference is meatballs (always sliced), and they do it as well as anyone. Good cheese (not too greasy) and the crust is always crisped nearly perfectly. Also good for meatball/chicken parms, deli sandwiches, and they also serve Cluck U wings, which are always meaty and made with a perfect amount of sauce. In light of the Pokemon GO craze that has swept the world the past few weeks, Master Pizza put out a promotional reward system based on what trainer level you have reached in the game. Admittedly, Master Pizza has never had the best reputation from my peers and therefore never tried their pizza before. However, I thought the reward system promotion that they had was in good faith and decided to give it a shot. I believed that if the pizza was satisfactory, I would have more visits in the future and possibly be a regular patron. At 2 pm, I decided to pull up to the place and inquire about the promotion. My friends told me they had done the promotion earlier in the day and since the offer expires tomorrow, I'd come visit. Once I asked the cashier, he proceeded to act like he was unsure and turned to the cooks to ask if the offer was still going. The cooks acted like they didn't know and said something along the lines of "Oh I think the promotion expires today.." Mind you, I know the promotion for a fact ends tomorrow. I know that only a few hours earlier, my friends had visited for the promotion and had no issues. Having heard enough, I just plainly asked them after they gave their unsure answers if the promotion was over, and they said yes. Now listen, I've heard rumors that the pizza wasn't very good. I could have easily showed proof that the promotion was done tomorrow. However, this is just a simple matter of integrity. If you endorse a promotion, you honor it. Now I don't know if the guys there were fed up that people were getting free pizza, but it definitely does not show any integrity if you won't honor the promotion. In the end, I just said thank you and drove away. Having gone to the establishment with an optimistic mindset, I left knowing that I would never want to come back. You messed up and you want me to not only wait for another pie but also pay more because you messed up?! What kind of customer service is that? Plus what a waste of food!
