Went here on a Saturday morning and was pretty busy. I've gone here a couple of times and know that I love the Regular Iced matcha latte, so i got it again today but was slightly disappointed. My drink was lacking in flavor and more than 50% full of ice. I tried to fish out the ice to see if it made a difference and it honestly did make it a little bit better. The Coconut cloud matcha was okay also. The coconut portion honestly tasted like the boxed coconut drink you can get at the store but that's all i tasted in the drink tbh. After letting the drink sit for a couple of minutes, the coconut drink was a little bit better. read more

The matcha is delicious and service was very fast. The interior was also super cute! The only issue is the price. Without tip, my total was $25. I understand the high quality of the matcha, but the cost of the toast was ridiculous for what I had. The toast itself was smaller than my hand and comically cut in half. I ordered the coconut cloud matcha as recommended by the cashier and I will say this one is a 10/10 delicious !! It looks a little weird before mixing but the taste is a perfect mixture of coconut water and their matcha. I also ordered the matcha magic latte with oat milk. For this one it was good, but the flavor of the matcha was not strong. It mostly tasted of oat milk to me. The area is very cute, a good study space, and everyone was very very friendly. read more

For my first visit, I got the strawberry matcha which came up quickly after I placed the order and my son tried the lavender matcha that he said was pretty good. Overpriced basic smoothies...the bowls and toast as well. So overpriced. It's like a knock off Main squeeze/Erewhon tonic bar menu but less aura pts and no wellness shots no juices j don't understand why there' no hot chocolate when that's easy profit and they have the ingredients. Regardless forget hot chocolate This place is literally a knock off purgatory like place of Main Squeeze and Erewhon tonic bar but way less options for drinks and add ons/enchantments such as sea moss, coconut shreds. Granola ??? And extra coconut cream means normal amount. Like portion and price are not adding up. Matcha and the coconut cream are the only two things I would recommend here. The chia pudding is more like chia seeeds with gush and generic rice puff granola mix with some bananas and strawberries smh. Where are the dry gogi or blue berries...... options lack of options .... Wouldn't recommend getting delivery; I can taste the difference they never add in the extras when I order delivery but there's no problem in store. 2 stars just because it's locally owned and looks like a woman owns the business and another star for their coconut cream and matcha. Every single time I visit Matcha Magic, I receive 10/10 customer service with top quality matcha to match. This cafe has turned me into a matcha fan and the smoothies are the best in the city too! I personally love the coconut cloud smoothie and the seasonal King Cake latte is TOO good. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out!! Although this is primarily a matcha spot, I decided to try their smoothies after seeing online that they're a good dupe for Erewhon's Strawberry Glaze and Coconut Cloud. I ordered both, and overall they were really good! The Strawberry Glaze had a bit of a bitter aftertaste -- not sure if that's how it's supposed to be or if the fruit just wasn't at its best that day. But the Coconut Cloud? Absolutely delicious. So creamy and flavorful -- definitely a favorite! Even with the soft opening, my order came out pretty quickly. The space itself is super cute, clean, and welcoming. me and my friend were looking for a new matcha spot and decided to try out matcha magic! The inside is super cute and they even had their own merch, but there is very minimal seating. The banana matcha smoothie was really good, it had more of a banana/cinnamon taste than matcha and the price was a bit pricey for the amount you're getting. You're greeted as soon as you walk in, which immediately sets a positive tone. We decided to try the Matcha Lemonade and the Matcha Julep, and both were excellent. The Matcha Julep had the perfect amount of mint combined with the strong, rich flavor of matcha, creating a refreshing and unique blend. I was in town for a few days and was devastated to find Matcha Magic on the second to last day of my trip. It is one of the better matcha I have had in the states. Of course I went back two days in a row. Absolutely delicious matcha and an equally yummy smoothie. If you like a matcha latte where you can actually taste matcha instead of milk/cream, then this is the place to go. The strawberry smoothie I tried on the first day was phenomenal as well. There was one girl working on a laptop, a group of friends who looked like they were catching up, and a couple waiting on drinks they had already ordered. Other than that, it was basically empty. It also appeared that there was only one employee working, so it was a good thing there wasn't a long line or anything. Customer service is a huge part of my experience when I visit a business. A place can have amazing drinks and a great atmosphere, but if the customer service is poor, it affects the entire experience for me. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted or acknowledged at all. Not a "welcome in," not a "hey, I'll be with you in a minute," nothing. I stood at the register looking over the menu while the employee finished making drinks for the couple who was waiting. Once she came over, I smiled and said, "Hey, how are you?" but didn't receive that same energy in return. There was no smile, no friendly greeting, and the interaction immediately felt very dry. Since it was my first visit, I asked what she would recommend for someone who likes sweeter drinks. She responded, "Everything here is sweet," but even that was said in a tone that felt annoyed and dismissive and didn't really help me narrow anything down. I was trying to decide between the Wedding Cake Latte and the Cookie Butter Chai. I then asked whether the Wedding Cake Latte actually tasted like cake. The reason I asked is because I've had plenty of experiences at coffee shops where a drink sounds amazing on the menu, but when you actually get it, it mostly tastes like coffee with only a tiny hint of the advertised flavor. A lot of times I end up having to add extra syrup because the flavor is so subtle. When I asked if it really tasted like cake, she responded, "Uh, yeah." In a tone that came across like a "duh" response. From the lack of greeting to the tone of responses, to the overall energy of the interaction, it all felt cold, dismissive, and like I was bothering her just by being there. I'm not from there and it was my first visit, so I was simply trying to make a decision, but I left feeling very unwelcome. I honestly considered leaving and saying don't worry about it because the interaction was that off-putting, especially since it wasn't busy at all. I decided to order anyways because I had already been anticipating trying it on this trip and had already drove all the way there. I ended up order the Cookie Butter Chai and it was really good. The flavor came through well. I just wish it was a bigger size. One small thing I noticed was that the drink came with whipped cream, but I wasn't asked whether I wanted it. It wasn't a huge issue because I don't dislike whipped cream, but I typically decline it when given the option. Since I didn't know it came with it and wasn't asked, I didn't really get the opportunity to choose. Overall, the atmosphere is cute, and the drink itself was good. However, I was genuinely surprised by the customer service because I had seen reviews describing the staff as friendly and welcoming, and my experience was the complete opposite. The drink was good, but the service left a negative impression.
