Super cute in here, and a great location by LSU New Orleans Campus! I tried the Fruity Pebbles and my boyfriend got the Purple rain. I loved the flavor, and the fact that there were many add in options to choose from! At $8 per drink, this will probably just be a special treat every now and then. The ladies were super helpful and cheery when I placed my order!

I've been obsessed with matcha recently, and this place did not disappoint!! I got the banana foster's matcha, and it had the perfect mix of fresh banana, brown sugar, and matcha. I want to try to make this at home, but I already know it won't compare. I also enjoyed the everything toast. The girls working were so nice and helpful! It was the cutest little pink place! I'm not in New Orleans very often, but I will make this one of my must see spots when I am!

Loved this place! It is in an obscure area, but worth the trip for some great matcha! I tried the bananas foster matcha. It was quite sweet, but I liked it! This is such a unique flavor combination, but it works! If you are looking for a very specific matcha flavor, I wouldn't outright recommend this place, but maybe the double matcha would be a good option. The interior is super cute and well decorated. There several adorable souvenirs and trinkets to pick up. The staff is also very kind and helpful! We came pretty early in the morning, and they were very considerate!

Rating: 7/10 This place gets a lot of foot traffic in the medical block of NOLA. On the intersection of the VA and the medical center of New Orleans, they crested this cute, aesthetically pleasing spot with matcha combinations. They also offer light bites but I just settled on the Matcha Magic latte ($8). The matcha was just ok, but the customer service is top tier and everything is reasonably priced so that makes it ok.

Cute little place with good lighting and cute decor. Staffs were helpful and friendly. Came after the gym so I was hungry and thirsty. I got the Purple Rain which has lavender, ube, milk and matcha sweet cream. The combination goes well together. It's was so tasty. I also ordered the Toast Flight. Everything: Cream cheese, avocado, everything seasoning and microgreens. Lox On: Cream cheese, cucumber, salmon and dill.House Avocado: Avocado, tomato, microgreens, sea salt and olive oil. My favorite toast was the Everything and Lox On.

Matcha Magic is located on the corner of the street across from UMC. It's also right near the medical/nursing schools too, so I'm sure they get regular traffic coming through the shop daily. It's a cute little cafe, serving some food, but mainly matcha drinks. The drinks were creative with so many different matcha drink options! I bought a horchata matcha ($8). It's made with oat milk blended with rice. It's apparently a popular item, and it's no wonder because it was delicious! I also got to try a "toast flight" complimentary as a Yelp perk. It came with 3 types of toast, but my favorite was the salmon toast. It had some cream cheese, slice of salmon, cucumber, topped with dill. Paired with my matcha drink, it felt like a perfect brunch!

"$49 on Matcha" The vibes are aesthetically pleasing and the Matcha selections are extensive. Went here pretty much on a Matcha tasting test. Spent about $49 on matcha. Well Worth it.

Of course I needed to make a matcha stop, and I had this place on my itinerary I'm so glad I did. As soon as I walked in, everything looked vibrant, clean, and inviting. It smelled amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect. I was greeted right away, and I liked that there was a menu stand at the entrance so you could look over the options before even stepping into line. The two women working there were so nice and polite, answered all of our questions, and made the experience even better. I got a chocolate matcha, I believe, and it was super, super good. I would definitely come here again if I'm ever back in town I might even need to stop by again before I leave honestly.

Matcha Magic is such a vibe! From the moment you walk in, the aesthetic is clean, cozy, and so beautifully curated--it's definitely a spot you want to sit and stay for a while. Love supporting a Black-owned business that clearly puts thought into both the experience and the quality. We tried the strawberry matcha, caramel macchiato, and bananas foster, and everything was so good--and perfectly sweet without needing any extra sweeteners. The strawberry matcha was refreshing with the perfect balance, the caramel macchiato was smooth and rich, and the bananas foster was easily a standout--so flavorful and indulgent. They even gave us the cutest flamingo drink floaties just for following their social media and leaving a Google review, which was such a fun touch! Great drinks, great atmosphere, and great energy all around. Definitely coming back when I'm in Nola!!

Loved my experience at matcha magic. A very nice laidback cafe. I went with my sister we both got berry chantilly matcha which was so good. Now I am a matcha drinker, I drink it usually with vanilla and honey but my sister taste mine at home and hated it however she actually liked the berry chantilly matcha and drank the whole thing. We shared a toast flight with the house avocado, lox on and Greek life. All of them were good, I especially liked the Greek life. And we sat there coloring and chatting for a few hours until they closed. The service was great, the barista was very helpful when we were trying to decide what flavor to get. I liked the music they played. Parking is ok, street only. Overall just a great cafe. I'll most definitely be back.

Okay Tulane I see you!! First we get a Trader Joe's, now we get a matcha cafe?? What did we do to deserve this?! For all of us folks that work at the hospital, we are no longer subjected to the burnt beans of PJ's and we now have options!! Matcha magic is bringing all the happy vibes and delicious drinks. It's bright, airy, and immediately draws you in. There's cute merch (yes, I almost bought a matcha themed tote I don't need), friendly staff who actually seem to be happy to be there and overall good vibes. The drink options? Endless and so creative. I ordered the matcha horchata and WOW- it was absolutely delicious. You can even add boosters like ashwagandha if you need a little extra zen. They also have a ton of plant based milk options. If you're even remotely into matcha, go now. If you're not, go anyway -- this place might just change that read more

Matcha Magic is an amazing addition to the CBD. The smoothie and açaí bowl were so fresh and delicious! I definitely have found a new favorite for açaí bowls! We had the Cloudy account smoothie and it was delicious. I love the coconut cream! My daughter loved the banana split açaí bowl and said it was so yummy and delicious. She wouldn't share lol. The cafe itself is so well done. The space is calming and chill so it's a great spot to sip and work in the area. We will definitely be back for some more Matcha Magic! read more

I'm sure most reviews here just comment on the aesthetic or have never had good matcha because this place was grainy as hell. If you're not going to whisk (with a traditional whisk) the matcha perfectly so it's blended, then use a milk frother . Train your employees better because you're just wasting the matcha powder and it hurts to see. read more

It truly feels like you are stepping back into a time gone past when you find your way into this establishment. Cafe Du Monde is broken up into two distinct environments. One is its interior seating area. It's fine in there if you want to get out of the elements. My choice is the exterior seating area, however. There is just something great about having coffee and a beignet while sitting outside and embracing the weather that New Orleans in known for. It's a fully covered space, so you don't have to worry about getting wet, if it is raining, or anything like that. It is just so much fun to sit there and embrace the day. The way this place works is that if you see a table, you just go and sit at that table. No waiting to be seated required. Once there, one of the staff will quickly come to take your order. They have a limited menu, so ordering is easy. Cash only please! Some of the staff are truly unique individuals. The last time I was there, I had an elder lady, of Chinese descent, helping me. She could barely communicate in English. Luckily, my Mandarin was good enough for us to place or order. Though Mandarin was not her native dialect, we did, none-the-less, communicate. That was an experience. How she helped out the other customers is anyone's guess. I'm just saying, some of the staff at Cafe Du Monde are truly unique individuals. Overall, if you in NOLA, you must go here. It's a fun experience.

They have a limited menu, so ordering is easy. Cash only please! Some of the staff are truly unique individuals. The last time I was there, I had an elder lady, of Chinese descent, helping me. She could barely communicate in English. Luckily, my Mandarin was good enough for us to place or order. Though Mandarin was not her native dialect, we did, none-the-less, communicate. That was an experience. How she helped out the other customers is anyone's guess. I'm just saying, some of the staff at Cafe Du Monde are truly unique individuals. Overall, if you in NOLA, you must go here. It's a fun experience.
