Was walking down Magazine Street with a friend while visiting New Orleans for work and popped in here because it was HOT and we were craving smoothies! The vibe was open and welcoming as soon as you walked in the door, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy :) I ordered the Berry Glow and my friend ordered the Skinny Green. Both of us immediately exclaimed WOW upon taking the first sip. The Berry Glow was a perfect balance of tart and sweet with a ribbon of coconut cream floating throughout. Would definitely come back and would recommend it for a nice refreshing pick me up on your walk through Uptown New Orleans.

This Orbit bowl was scrumptious! Just wish they had boiled eggs.

Orbit Bowl and Rainbow Bowl - both delicious, but why can't they boil an egg??? I withheld a star for that reason.

Another one of my favorite go-to spots! Staff is always super friendly. Food always fresh, made to order. Don't think I've had anything on the menu that I didn't enjoy. The location, abundant natural lighting, and art is always a nice touch.

Good menu, healthy food, quick service. I loved the breakfast burrito. Prices were also very reasonable. The atmosphere was very cute, good brunch/lunch spot. Would def return!

Great food! So clean and delicious! We ate there for breakfast and got a breakfast burrito and the pancakes with the blue spirulina smoothie.

I really like this place because they offer a little bit of everything although their plant based you won't feel left out order in here. I do a lot of traveling on the streets and sometimes I just need a quick bite. Something that's not gonna leave me feeling sluggish like a cup of burnt grease. The atmosphere is definitely some kind hippie retro calm vibe. OK onto the pancakes. I've had multiple things from this place but the pancakes kind of stood out. They're not a traditional pancake, if you are pancake lover, this is not your regular pancakes. They are oatmeal pancakes with banana and seasonal fruit. They hold a lot of heat so be careful with that first bite, they kinda have a required taste. Almost like a , mushy oatmeal pancake thingy with a crispy outside. I didn't love them at first, but I've grown to really like them and sometimes it depends on who's cooking how much I'm gonna like them that day. And don't get nothing else with these pancakes. They are so filling it's like I ate two bowls of oatmeal. They are very filling over all this place has something for everyone and there's always salt and pepper or a little bit of seasoning in your back pocket to spice things up.

I ordered my food in advance on the website while walking the dog. I loved that they send a text after I order to keep up with the status and my receipt. I arrived for pickup and they let me bring Louie the giant pup inside to grab my food and they even offered him some water because he was soooo hot poor thing. The service is always bright and positive. I ordered the skinny green smoothie with a matcha add-on and a southwest bowl. It was very yummy and fresh. The bowl is actually huge and I loved that I had so left over for lunch. I felt super healthy after such a nutritious breakfast! I'll definitely be back to try more of the food at the Daily Beet.

I come here for the smoothies. Healthier , more balanced version of Smoothie King. It's counter service - super quick and convenient.

I got the açai bowl here which was pretty good. Good portion size and love the toppings such as the Chia seeds, nuts, granola, coconut, and honey. The fruit wasn't as fresh as I thought it would be, it tasted kind of frozen, and the pieces were a little large from my liking. I'd come back and try something else.

I was taking a long walk along Magazine Street to sight-see and be healthy; passing by The Daily Beet and I was like I want to get something here (the place has a very appealing style). I took a look at the menu and was impressed with the bowls and salads. I already had plans for an early dinner so I didn't want to order any food but was interested in coming back so I asked the girl behind the counter a question about a dish. Sadly, she made it obvious she just wanted to take an order and not be bothered by my question. She did answer though and I asked another but after that I decided not to bother since it was clear she did not want to deal with me. My wife wasn't that thirsty; she just wanted a sip of something so I did the only logical thing.... I ordered (2) smoothies for myself and the wife can steal a couple sips. SMOOTHIES No.1: BLUE DREAM (Blueberry, Pineapple, Mango, Banana, Raw Agave) This was delicious... absolutely delicious SMOOTHIE No.2: SKINNY GREEN (Kale, Spinach, Pineapple, Mango, Banana) Even though I loved the Blue Dream, I really enjoyed the Skinny Green quite a bit. Something about that grittiness from the Kale that I like (it's a texture thing). I'm going to assume the poor customer service is limited to this one staff member (maybe she was having a bad day) and not the typical attitude of all staff; with that in mind, we will be back (especially with all the healthy option the menu offers; even have some vegan options).

The first thing I notice in this place is the gorgeous lighting.. The overall aesthetic of the place is great. It has a cool and cheery vibe. The clerk that took my order was pretty nice. I am ordered the summer kale salad and skinny green smoothie. Both were delicious. I will definitely come back to try more options.

    Lox plate

So good! We had the lox plate and breakfast burrito. Delicious and beautiful. The coffee, cold pressed juice and skinny green smoothie were also fabulous. Such a cool place. Staff was also super nice!

Last year, I came to New Orleans immediately after eating my way through Tijuana and the Lafayette, LA metropolitan area. So, I was ecstatic when I found The Daily Beet within walking distance of where I was staying with a thoughtful, vegetable forward menu that looked extremely appetizing. I immediately beelined over and ordered the Beet Benedict. Not only was it finger lickin' good, but it was plated so exquisitely that multiple people stopped by my table with inquiries: "Excuse me, sir. What menu item is that?" *** "That looks amazing. I'll order that the next time I come." *** "May I ask, how is that dish? Okay, great." The mother then turns to her adult son and tells him to order a beet toast for her. This place is a whole vibe, and I highly recommend it!!!

Both were outstanding. The Bananas Foster French Toast was rich, indulgent, and packed with flavor without being overwhelmingly sweet. The bananas and sauce were the perfect complement to the French toast, making it feel like a New Orleans dessert and breakfast all in one. The Boudin Breakfast Biscuit was equally impressive. The biscuit was fresh and flaky, and the boudin added a delicious Cajun flavor that set it apart from a typical breakfast sausage. Every bite was savory, satisfying, and uniquely Louisiana. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it's easy to see why Surrey's has such a loyal following. If you're visiting New Orleans and looking for a memorable breakfast, put this place on your list. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

The hashbrowns were very crispy and seasoned well, so I loved them, as soggy hashbrowns are a major pet peeve of mine. The chicken biscuit was good, but I'm not 100% sure it was to my taste. It was massive and very hard to eat, and there was a lot of fried chicken skin. The mayo on the sandwich was definitely homemade and had a very strong egg flavor, so I would go without that next time. The biscuit was probably the best biscuit I've ever had. As a California girl, I think the flavors might have just been a little too strong for me, but still a great spot to stop by.

There was a line when we arrived, but we liked how the host walked the line asking how many people in your party in case they were able to seat people regardless of your position in line. We were seated pretty quickly, our server was great. She came over with a big smile, very mild mannered, but attentive. We ordered our meals, which came out quickly. Omelet for my husband, grits bowl for me. The grits have smoked gouda. The grits bowl is if you have a big appetite because it is big! My husband enjoyed his shrimp and crab Omelet, but he did mention that he couldn't really taste or see much crab, but it was tasty. The grits bowl has a lot of sautéed veggies so if that's not your thing say no veggies or light veggies. I had one of the fresh juices, the Ginger Sun, I believe that's the name. Oh my!!! It was so good and honestly I wasn't feeling my best when I arrived and after drinking the juice my body really started feeling better. I wasn't able to eat all my food, but I can say that juice was the highlight of it for me. The restaurant was clean and I love the long bench with the pillows that line the wall. Also, they have 2 sides, the other side is for to go I believe and its for tacos/quesadillas, etc...

We checked into our nearby hotel a bit early in the day and was looking to hit the streets for a spot to get a chill/light breakfast, a coffee and maybe a cocktail. We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!

I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting.
