Love this charming cafe so much; if only I lived in the neighborhood so that I could come here all the time! Ordered the salami ciabatta sandwich and cappuccino, both a 10/10 in my book. Cappuccino came out quickly and latte art was on point. Beans are from Andytown so you know the coffee is legit. Sandwich was savory and delightful; the walnut pesto spread was a game changer! Since they were out of ciabetta, they subbed for croissant sandwich bread, which was unlike anything I've tried. Perfectly flakey, crispy, and chewy, all in one bite. Indoor seating in this cozy spot is highly coveted but limited; a few outdoor tables are also available. Lines can be long, especially during the weekends, so it's best to beat the morning rush or swing by in the afternoon. read more

I love that this coffee shop is in my area. I feel its hard to find good coffee shops outside of downtown that have wifi, chargers, and lots of tables. I have been three times now, and enjoyed all of the coffees I have tried. I recommend trying out a dirty chai when you have a chance. I especially enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and almond croissant, and I look forward to testing out more food on their menu. I haven't tried their pastries or muesli bowls yet but I love that their coffee is strong and consistently good. Great cold brew and breakfast sandwiches. It can get busy on weekends and first thing in the morning so I try to time my visits around that.

I've been here twice now - their coffee is fantastic. The cappuccino, latte, and iced americano are all excellent. However both times I've come here I've had issues with my food missing ingredients. The first time I ordered the avocado radish bagel, the egg was forgotten - thankfully the employee remembered and made me a new one before I left. The second time, we opened our breakfast sandwiches to find no avocado after we specifically paid for avocado. Just make sure you give your food a quick check before leaving (we were already home when we saw)! In general, the food, coffee, and service are good, but the food is nothing extraordinary. read more

Super cute cafe in San Fran that I stumbled upon. The space is a little tight for seating or waiting on to go orders which is my only complaint. Otherwise the food looked delicious - avocado bagel sandwiches, and I ordered a latte which was delicious and the perfect temperature. A small was $4+ which is a little pricey given the size. So glad to have found another cute cafe with comfortable outdoors seating. This coffee shop has the cutest interior greenary. The sidewalk tables are also really nice and I would come back just for the space and chill vibe. The food was less impressive than the menu made it seem. I liked the avocado radish bagel, but it was under-seasoned and the bagel had dry bits in it that revealed its lack of freshness. The latte tasted watery, but was foamy and cute-looking. I really wanted to like this cafe, and I've tried it on two occasions before writing this review (to be sure it wasn't a one-off poor experience). First off, the service is incredibly slow. There were 10 people in line ahead of us, and it took 40 minutes to receive our coffee. This is really disappointing. Second, both of my drinks were made incorrectly. One seasonal latte was missing the honey entirely, and tasted very poor as a result. The second drink was served so cold that I had to take it back. Even stranger, they re-made the cold drink and offered to refund the purchase if it still wasn't hot enough. This makes no sense - they easily could have made the beverage any temperature they desire. Even after remaking the drink, it was room temperature and needed to be microwaved for a full minute at home. Overall, I do not recommend this cafe and will not be back. Waiting 40 minutes for two incorrect drinks is wild, I'm very surprised! read more

We got two bagel sandwiches things and the bread WAS HARD like crouton hard. Like we couldn't even bit into it. The Apple & Brie sandwich was simply made, but really tasty! A baguette with slices of apples and brie with arugula and honey! Great combo of flavors. Good for a light meal or heavy snack. Pretty comfortable little spot, with both inside seating and outside. Didn't try their coffee, so no comment on that. read more

LMAO at these other reviews with hangry, impatient people. If you go to a cafe expecting to be in and out in 5 minutes, put in a mobile order and go to the Starbucks on Fulton. This is THE neighborhood cafe, and I'm so lucky that I live within a 5 minute walk of this place! First of all, the building it's in is a gorgeous ornate large Victorian apartment building complete with stained glass and beautiful details and paint. It's got plenty of seating especially outside where they've managed to expand to two parklets (fingers crossed they never get rid of these)! It's perfect on especially sunny days. All the locals who come in have cute dogs and are friendly and everyone is genuinely stoked to be here together, enjoying good coffee and good food (which, would ya believe it, takes longer than 2 minutes to put together). I really wanted to like this place, but I guess I am not cut out for pretentious SFO neighborhood cafes! Soulshine was WAY more fun and yum! We stopped here for some quick breakfast. The girl getting my order was so distracted with the other girl she was talking to, it took her 2 transactions to get 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches right, ugh. She was also super cold and not friendly. There was one guy (who honestly looked like a high school kid) making our sandwiches. Took him 15 minutes to slap cream cheese on bagels and add avocado to one of them. Fifteen.Minutes. I am not kidding about this - also, ours were the only orders he was working on. As I watched him slowly wrap each sandwich in foil paper, I wanted to snatch it out of his hands, he was SO slow. Call me impatient, but it really got on my nerves. The bagels themselves were too chewy, the avocado was browning and stale. Would I come back to this place? Not worth the money at all. It looks cute, but it didn't taste like anything. Couldn't really taste the brown sugar. The only delicious thing about it was the crust. Service: All of them were just chilling. They were helpful but seems uninterested. It might be because it's two days before Thanksgiving? Back to the point, I asked them to heat up my pastry. One of them put it on the grill and literally forgot about it. It took about 20 minutes for another staff to noticed it, looked a little confuse, and then yell out the order. LONG WAIT for food... yet its delicious. Dont go here in a hurry. Yet its patio is nice to relax on and enjoy the local smoker puffing away at their cigarette without a care in the world for others oxygen. Slightly borderline OCD...but what do I know I'm not a doctor yet I have worked in a Deli for years and waiting for half hour -forty five minutes didnt seem like a feasible turnover for deli food. Also, when I got my sandwich it didn't have bacon on it... I said I had asked for it. She said it doesnt come on the sandwich, I said check the ticket. Then she toasted some bacon to put on the sandwich to make for a longer anticipatory wait... all while there was bacon on top the toaster (I'm assuming ready to be consumed or maybe it was burnt). I dont know... youd think being meticulous youd also pay attention to detail like what's on the ticket. My sandwich was good nonetheless... and the side salad was also great. I got a Turkey & Jack, which had avocado and arugula on it. Their restroom is nice and the barista/cashier was easy on the eyes and very helpful. He suggested I grab a homemade pop-tart since that they make there and I didnt regret that at all since I was so hungry. If he didnt suggest that I prob would've gone behind the bar and made my sandwich myself. The brown sugar pop-tart was delightful. Not to mention he made some amazing mocha art in our coffee. This place has most of what I would expect in the perfect study cafe. The ambiance is really nice with floor to ceiling windows, and I really appreciate thicker wooden tables as well. I had the lox bagel which was super high quality and my iced latte came in a large glass and didn't seem watered down. The only negatives I would say are: -the internet was quite slow on a not so busy day, it was a bit of a struggle to stream a YouTube video in low quality -only one outlet was working, underneath the cream/sugar table so quite unaccessible. This seems like the perfect place to hang out / catch up with friends though. read more

Cute spot with decent food and coffee. Parking is not great in this part of NOPA and beware of street cleaning and other parking signs (as in all areas of SF). There isn't a ton of indoor seating and when we were there they kept the door open and it was a bit cold. There is also outdoor seating. The vibe inside is cute and it would probably have been better to be there on a warm, sunny day. I got a honey cinnamon latte which was good and also the breakfast egg sandwich. The breakfast sandwich had really yummy bread and was simple and delicious. Staff were friendly and they were playing Carly Rae Jepson so yep, this place works. read more
