Amazing tattoo experience! I was greeted by Howie with a big smile. Kilee was my tattoo artist. And I love it! Starting from reaching out to Kilee @ Kilee.b.ink to getting my tattoo from her, she was friendly and had a lot of patience. She made sure that I love the placement and the size. And her execution of the tattoo was on point. Everyone in the place was very friendly, and I can't wait to go back.

Jose is insanely talented. If you care about clean fine line work and micro realism, he's your guy. The detail on this tattoo is unreal. The cherubs are perfectly balanced, the shading is super smooth, and the lines are so clean it almost doesn't look real. Nothing looks heavy or overworked. Everything is soft, precise, and exactly how fine line tattoos should look. What impressed me most was the micro realism. Even the tiny details hold up close, and the lettering came out crisp and delicate without overpowering the piece. You can tell Jose really knows how to control his lines and understands how tattoos will age over time. I plan to continue booking with Jose for all of my fine line and micro realism tattoos moving forward because his work truly speaks for itself. Jose is also incredibly flexible and patient. When I first booked, I originally planned on getting the tattoo on my hand, then kept changing my mind about placement. I must have sent him at least ten emails with changes. Instead of getting annoyed, he was so patient and made sure I felt completely confident and happy with the final decision, which ended up being my back. When I got to the studio, we played with the stencils, and his precision and perfectionist mentality completely won me over. He truly cares about balance and symmetry and will not let you walk out with something that looks crooked or unbalanced. His goal is for the tattoo to look impeccable, and it shows. I also have to give a huge shoutout to the studio owners, Sam and Howie. While Jose was tattooing me, Sam was working on another client nearby, creating a floral neck piece that was absolutely breathtaking. Watching her work made me want to book with her in the future. She is clearly an incredible artist. Meanwhile, Howie was DJing and mixing music the entire time, and honestly, it was such a vibe. His taste in music was perfect. Chill but still upbeat. I got to a point where I completely stopped listening to my podcast and was just enjoying his mixes instead. It made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun, especially during a longer session. There were also other tattoo artists in the studio, all working on amazing designs. The level of talent in this place is unreal. Everyone is so skilled, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. The studio itself is clean, comfortable, and has such a strong sense of community. You really feel taken care of here. The friendliness, the talent, and the overall energy of the space made this such a great experience. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable for the quality of work you're getting. I'm beyond happy with my tattoo and so impressed with this studio as a whole. You truly can't go wrong booking here.

It's been a year since I got my first tattoo done by @Alisadanzart and i am so in love with my tattoos and experience at this studio that I keep going back for more ! The studio is so cute, tranquil, and all the artists are so welcoming and kind. During my first tattoo session I was welcomed by the owners and my artist (Alisa) who guided me through the entire process from start to end. My first tattoo was a sentimental one I had been planning for yeeears and as soon as I saw her flash design I knew she was the one. It's very reassuring knowing how mindful of your comfort Alisa is and how open she is to working with you to personalize your tattoo. She consistently checks in and gives you a heads up when she's going over parts that might feel a bit "spicy". She also has such a gentle hand - I know tattoos can be painful but she literally has a magic touch where there's minimal pain, no blowouts, and vibrant ink. Her intentionality and passion for her art through her detail oriented approach from drawing up a design, placement, execution and after care is what makes her a great artist. And why you should book with her :) ** Pictured is my 2.5 inch sparrow on my right outer shoulder which I went back after 3 to add the spider lilies. When I tell you Alisa has her best intentions with her work I mean it - I went in to add the florals and Alisa touched up my sparrow as well (wasn't fading or missing anything but she felt there were small details she could add/touch up to enhance the design)

Once I emailed the studio they connected me with Emily and she took care of me from there. The studio is pretty sweet I enjoyed their music, the art and figures they had on display. Emily killed it!! Victoria did this tattoo and let me tell u it came out great! She was super nice and her detailed line work goes crazy! She didn't have a heavy hand either and always asked if I was okay or if I needed anything. I had first emailed her about an idea I had but decided it would be more fun to have her do something she likes so she asked if she could do a car coming out of clouds and I said "I'm down" I asked her if we could do the initial D car and she loved the idea. Definitely going to get more tats from her in the future. If you ever have the time I definitely recommend setting up a tat session with Victoria! read more

I had the greatest experience at Mateo studios! I immediately wanted one of Alyssa @peach.delyte flash from the moment I saw she posted it on her Instagram page... Alyssa has been so amazing from the moment we started communicating about the tattoo and throughout the entire process. She also helped me figure out the perfect size placement which I'm SO so happy about! I'd say she has a light touch, and that she's so skilled in the intricacies and fine line details. I was lucky enough to book a session with Sam for some magnolia flowers! I had been eyeing her amazing work on IG and I knew I had to have one of her amazing pieces on me forever! The communication with her was smooth and appointment booking was easy. I had to wait a few months but it was not long! She's highly coveted so it's understandable. The studio is beautiful and clean and unique. Sam is extremely talented and has a gentle hand! Her work is so beautiful and detailed and she is efficient. She makes it look so effortless. I almost fell asleep a few times. My upper sleeve piece only took 3 hours, it was way shorter than I had anticipated for such a big piece. I'm in awe of her work and feel really lucky to have been able to get a piece done by her. Who knows, I might come back in the future for more!! Everyone in the studio is friendly and welcoming. I recently got a tattoo from Sarah and it came out AMAZING! I gave her a pretty vague description of what I wanted because I honestly wasn't sure what I wanted it to look like but she killed it! Came into to get my 3rd tattoo by Sam! Omg she is so amazing! Trust the tattoo that she did for me today was a challenge but literally on the spot she was able to make it happen and came out beautiful absolutely love my totally. She is so fast and clean work! Very gentle by far one of the best artists I have had the pleasure to work with. I needed a cover and she worked her magic and you can't even what I needed covered up. Five stars from top to bottom. I reached out to this studio inquiring about getting my wife a surprise tattoo for her birthday. Someone at the studio responded almost immediately and connected me with a recommended artist (Bojin). The tattoo was drawn by my wife's sibling. It was a very meaningful tattoo and Bojin worked diligently to make sure it was captured perfectly. At the studio, we had a quick tweak that we wanted to make to the design and Bojin made the changes so quickly and was so kind about it. I know that last minute changes can be annoying and I was so grateful they were able to accommodate. The studio itself was so cool. It's in an open concept art studio warehouse that felt safe, clean, and inclusive. We observed all of the artists meticulously cleaning their stations before and after sessions. The price was surprisingly reasonable for how amazing the art work is. The picture below doesn't capture just how beautifully the piece actually came out. Bojin added very delicate colored shading and it's healing well. If you're looking for a reliable, responsive, kind and inclusive place to get some work done, I would 100% recommend coming here. All of the artists have amazing portfolios. I didn't catch his name, but the man working at the front (maybe owner or manager) was extremely professional and kind. He seemed genuinely happy to see us and made sure my wife was comfortable and satisfied with the design. Thank you for making my wife's birthday extra special! read more

I had such a wonderful experience getting my first tattoo by Sam (one of the owners). I came across her on Instagram & emailed her that same night in early January, she got back to me so quickly and she was able to fit me in as soon as February! Once I got to the lovely studio (where everyone was so friendly), I was shown the wonderful design she came up with and we then went to get it done. She was making sure everything was clean my whole time there, which I greatly appreciate ! Afterwards, she went over the aftercare of the tattoo with me, which was helpful. Absolutely loved my experience here at Mateo Street Studio! Finding the place was super easy, Howie and Sam were super welcoming and generous when I first came in, making sure I felt comfortable. Sam then started by making sure I was satisfied with my tattoo placement and had no problem with readjusting. The environment was relaxing and the 3 hour process went by very smoothly! My tattoo turned out absolutely wonderful with such amazing detail, Sam had even added white ink which I believe made the tattoo super realistic! Sam's line work is one of the best I've seen and it really shows when looking closely at the tattoo. I would definitely trust Sam with any future tattoos, especially with detailed images and/or floral work. Highly recommend going to this studio!! read more

Sam is one heck of an artist!! I had been thinking about doing a coverup for ages but could never find the time or the artist willing to design something that could do the job (about 6 inches long with extra 'pieces'). I really didn't know what to go in with except references for styles I liked (most of which couldn't work for the coverup I found out) and one coverup reference. Showed them to Sam and she said she could come up with something to help me! I scheduled my appointment for about a month later with a non refundable deposit. She was that thoughtful and honest for me to take the risk. Didn't know what it would be until a few days before the appointment but she sent me the mock up which was gorgeous. I selfishly hesitate to leave this review because I know any second now Sam's appointment calendar is going to BLOW UP and I'm addicted to her artwork and want her to be able to fit me in when I come back. And I *will* be back. She's the real deal. I mean--take a look at this fine line work! Getting my Totoro tattoo during their anime flash week was such a great experience! It was so easy to get a last minute appointment. All the information about parking (they have their own lot, which was incredibly helpful to me, someone who is terrified of LA traffic and parking) and aftercare is on their website and they'll email it to you, as well. I was paired with Emily, who was so nice and did an amazing job! The space is so clean and has a ton of natural light (and a great view), and the machines and supplies seemed even more updated than what I'm used to from other places. Today, it has been 3 days since we got the tattoo and although the tattoo itself is small, has fine lines, and is on the wrist, it appears as if it has a smear/smudge on one of the corners on both tattoos. This isn't my first tattoo, and my husband and I have been following the after care and have been careful. It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. I will update this review once the tattoos heal completely.

My friend and I were looking around for a tattoo shop for our first tattoos. We walked into Oni…read moreTattoo on Saturday and Sam @tatt.chi was able to take my friend. He wanted double bands around his forearm and Sam was able to sketch it out and do the tattoo on the same day. We were in and out within 1.5 hours. He explained the process and aftercare which made getting a tattoo seamless and less daunting. I was on the fence about getting a tattoo but my friend said if he got one I would have to get one too. I decided to get a runner with an ekg as I thought it was fitting for me. I wanted something small for my first tattoo and easily to keep hidden from my mom (sorry mom). He asked me to send him a picture of what I wanted and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 11am. Once Monday came I walked over and signed the consent form. He then printed out the tattoo and placed the outline on my chest and asked me if it was where I wanted it. Being a tattoo noob I trusted his judgement. After letting the outline dry I laid down and he began working on the piece. He said since it was a small tattoo and mainly lines there shouldn't be much pain and the healing process wouldn't be as long. It took about 30 mins to finish up the tattoo and the quality came out amazing. There was no pain at all and he went over the aftercare as well. I showed Sam this other tattoo I wanted and he said he would be able to do that as well. He says his art style is realism and anime so I can't wait to get more work done by him. He has been tattooing for 2 years now along with his apprenticeship. He told me to message him when I'm ready for my next piece. Maybe this tattoo thing is an addiction and will keep you coming back for more.

I have been hankering for a pedicure for a while, and not just any pedicure. I wanted something…read moremore therapeutic. My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!

If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I wish I could give Sam a rating higher than five stars. She crafted an absolutely beautiful tattoo for me, and it's a true joy to have it as a permanent part of me. I am confident that even when I reflect on it in 50 years, I'll still be saying, "SHEESH IT'S SO GOOD." What's more, Sam approached her work with meticulous care, ensuring the stencil's placement was optimal. She made adjustments to enhance the overall appearance and carefully marked areas for inking. She even provided a thoughtful explanation for her choices. I'm deeply appreciative of Sam for going the extra mile and incorporating additional elements into the tattoo to conceal some scars from my past self-harm, even without me requesting it. On top of her incredible skill, Sam's personality is incredibly endearing to me; she's friendly, cheerful, a bit quirky, and utterly charming. With her, I felt completely relaxed and at ease. The studio features window walls on one side, creating a pleasant and cozy ambiance. I think the gentleman who greeted me might have been named Howie (apologies if I've remembered incorrectly), but his warm and friendly demeanor instantly put me at ease. The walls are adorned with numerous artworks, and certain sections of the studio gave me the impression of being in an art gallery. I saw Sam this last weekend and travelled out of state to get tattooed by her! I originally fell in love with her floral work on Instagram and emailed her with my ideas, size, placement and asked for her rate. I immediately got a response, and was able to book far in advanced because I had to travel to her. I really appreciate her accommodating me since I'm out of town. Sam was very professional, detail oriented and made sure we got the size and placement exact. Her artwork is stunning, and it truly shows! Upon arrival, I was offered a drink and snacks :) We went over the designs she had for both of my tattoos and the placement. During my appointment, I was very comfortable and she even had a phone holder for her clients so they don't have to hold their phone while getting tattooed. I was watching a show the whole time, which is great for me because I like to be distracted while getting tattooed! I got two tattoos done but only took a picture of the floral design. The other tattoo was a beautiful fine line ornament design! I am super happy about my overall experience! Thanks so much Mateo Studio, I would definitely come back for more tattoos :) read more

We had an amazing experience at this tattoo studio! There were four of us as walk-ins, and even though they were busy, they still found a way to accommodate us. Alyssa did my tattoo, and she absolutely nailed my simple design--clean, precise, and exactly what I wanted. My husband worked with Chris, who was incredibly artistic and helped refine his idea into something even better. Our two friends also got tattoos, and all of them turned out fantastic. A little late on this review but I got both sides of my forearm inked from the amazing Kilee. This was my first tattoo and was quite nervous as I have a pretty low pain tolerance. Kilee took her time, listened to the design I wanted and created this amazing work of art. I definitely plan on going back soon! Sam Leng not only did a beautiful piece on my arm but she also covered up a tattoo I had perfectly. I found her on Instagram and traveled all the way from Michigan just to see her. I absolutely love her work. The piece she gave me was amazing and 100% worth the trip. She was super easy to work with, super nice, and gave me exactly what I was looking for.
