10/10 for fantastic customer service, super kind and knowledgeable staff and it's a very clean establishment. Big plus that they also accept walk-ins. I got my beautiful flower tattoo done by Daniel, and wow! He was a great choice to get tatted by, real cool dude, and a great artist (this was actually his design). The ambiance here is welcoming and everyone in there seemed to love what they do, which is always a big factor in whether or not I will be coming back; which for this place, I can safely say that I will be coming back here!

He was very nice, and a gentleman. He walked us through the process. He was very patient with the process of us choosing our tattoos in the moment. Daniel is a very good at what he does and he's definitely a great people person. The shop is very clean and designed very nicely. I emailed the artist, AB, with a super simple drawing of the 9-Tailed Fox from the anime Naruto ... and they completely brought the design to life! I'm so happy with how the final product came out and the additions they suggested. Absolutely killer line work and I hardly felt a thing during the session. Chonny is my ride or die artist!! I've been getting ink from him for 4 years now, and he's the best. Truly no one better at fine line, tiny, and dainty / delicate designs. He makes it super easy to schedule (he takes Instagram DMs @chonny562.tattoo), and I can usually get an appointment in the same month. He's also incredibly detail oriented and collaborative -- I have very thin fingers, and he did my stencil like 6 or 7 times to make sure my tattoo placement was perfect. The thing I value the most is that he makes sure I'm comfortable during our sessions, especially if I'm getting something somewhere spicy. The best vibes - especially for the girlies! That's why I keep coming back to Chonny! read more

Wow...I had my first tattoo done 4 weeks ago by AB (flew in from Seattle to do it). From the first consult email through the entire experience, she was professional, personable, and super talented. She took a basic idea and absolutely transformed it with a style that is completely her own. I really loved chatting with her while she was tattooing that gorgeous deer on my back. She's so chill and it's clear that she loves connecting with people just as much as she loves making incredible art. AB also reassured all of my anxious questions about what it would be like and how to follow up with the tattoo aftercare. The process was far less painful than I had built it up in my head to be. The studio itself is accessible in a cool part of Koreatown and was very welcoming and clean. I've had so many compliments on this amazing tattoo and have nothing but positive memories of the experience. Would absolutely love to come back and have AB tattoo me again!! read more

I used to go see AB at another studio where she touched up a tattoo and did 2 fresh ones for me in the past year or so (an arm full of plants running up my arm). I love her work! She put me at ease, worked with me on the design and placement and was so easy to talk to. Her lines are clean and on point and her application was basically painless! My plant tattoo healed beautifully! When I heard she moved to Sonamu Studio, I knew I had to follow her over there. 6 months later, I came to her with an idea to tattoo my other arms with an image of an empowered Eve and she definitely delivered. It's so effortless working with her to decide on the sizing and placement. It's always so comfortable getting tattooed by her since it's like relaxing and chatting with an old friend for awhile. Before I knew it, she was done and Eve looked so amazing! She definitely gave me what I wanted. The tattoo has healed very well and I'm already plotting to go back soon to get another! I love her new studio in K-town. It definitely has her personality in it and is a very chill and welcoming space. If you're looking for a great artist and shop, this is the place for you! read more

Saw AB for a tattoo to help cover some old surgical scars and couldn't be more pleased! The design is absolutely stunning, and the healed tattoo is so beautiful. I followed AB here from another studio, I got my first tattoo about a year and a half ago, and l wanted my second tattoo to be done by AB. Sonamu is smack dab in Ktown, the space is clean and spacious with tons of artist work on the walls. I got my tattoo on a Saturday, it was not busy, in fact, I was the only one getting ink that day. If you want a well-done tattoo with some nice people go here. read more

I came across this studio because I was walking around Koreatown and saw their artwork on display! I'm so glad I did because I was greeted by Daniel who was sharing his work with me. I saw that he's done some Studio Ghibli tatts and I was interested in getting one. I'm a huge fan of Ponyo, but saw that he didn't have that one available. He was so accommodating and offered to stencil one out really quickly. Because this was my first time getting a tattoo, I was a little nervous, but he eased me into it and walked me through the whole process. The studio overall is clean and has a bunch of artwork on display from the other artists there. I was also waiting for my partner to finish getting her tatt done, so they let me walk around and borrow their phone charger. I felt comfortable and the two other artists I saw there were professional and welcoming. This was such a fun experience for me and I highly recommend checking this place out. They do walk-ins from 12-6pm! The vibe was chill and my tattoo was done in less than an hour. read more

I drive an hour just to go to this studio. It's worth it. AB has done over half of my tattoos and is one of favorite artists. All the artists there are super talented and will work with you on what you want to get. Very reasonable priced in my opinion. The shop is clean and everyone is super chill there. During any of my tattoo sessions I've been able to talk with different artists and the owner and made feel super comfortable. Highly recommend this shop to anyone. read more

This tattoo studio has the beautiful mix of amazing talent and professionalism. I worked with Gray, from beginning to the end the experience was a dream. I felt comfortable and it was fun getting a tattoo. That's what the experience should be. I'll always recommend Gray but also all the artists working there were creating unique works of body art. Today, it has been 3 days since we got the tattoo and although the tattoo itself is small, has fine lines, and is on the wrist, it appears as if it has a smear/smudge on one of the corners on both tattoos. This isn't my first tattoo, and my husband and I have been following the after care and have been careful. It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. I will update this review once the tattoos heal completely.

As we sat down to get started, she could tell that I was nervous and was so gracious, gentle, compassionate and understanding, and really took her time to make sure I felt safe. This meant the world to me. After that, I was scheduled to have a tattoo with her again, and I needed to cancel bc I ended up having emergency back surgery. She was, again, so kind, loving, understanding and supportive. I have since come in and gotten quite a few more tattoos with her and for the first time in so long, my body feels like my own again and I am excited to look down and see my beautiful tattoos done by her. He wanted double bands around his forearm and Sam was able to sketch it out and do the tattoo on the same day. We were in and out within 1.5 hours. He explained the process and aftercare which made getting a tattoo seamless and less daunting. I was on the fence about getting a tattoo but my friend said if he got one I would have to get one too. I decided to get a runner with an ekg as I thought it was fitting for me. I wanted something small for my first tattoo and easily to keep hidden from my mom (sorry mom). He asked me to send him a picture of what I wanted and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 11am. Once Monday came I walked over and signed the consent form. He then printed out the tattoo and placed the outline on my chest and asked me if it was where I wanted it. Being a tattoo noob I trusted his judgement. After letting the outline dry I laid down and he began working on the piece. He said since it was a small tattoo and mainly lines there shouldn't be much pain and the healing process wouldn't be as long. It took about 30 mins to finish up the tattoo and the quality came out amazing. There was no pain at all and he went over the aftercare as well. I showed Sam this other tattoo I wanted and he said he would be able to do that as well. He says his art style is realism and anime so I can't wait to get more work done by him. He has been tattooing for 2 years now along with his apprenticeship. He told me to message him when I'm ready for my next piece. My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I was connected with AB through a common friend. I had a specific design in mind and AB got me in for a free consultation to explain some of the details of the tattooing process + some design considerations (my first tattoo). We then got an appointment set up the same week to get the tattoo done. The tattooing experience was about as good as it can get for a rib tattoo, AB was very gentle and did a great job of keeping my mind off the pain (especially towards the end). I got a tattoo about a year ago that I did not like, so I reached out to this studio hoping someone could give me a cover up. I can not be more happy with the results, AB did an amazing job composing a piece that still fits my vision and style of tattoos. She made sure I liked the placement and the size before starting.
