My fault that I had to open so many:) Certainly would've been a five star if I were not disappointed in the French toast portion. It was my favorite as a kid growing up. But I'd give it another half a star from four due to the scrambled egg portion if I could. We were greeted and seated promptly, and our servers were absolutely wonderful. The drinks and food were both top-notch, and the ambiance was calm, atmospheric, and romantic without feeling stuffy. The food was easily a 10/10. Everything was so unique, flavorful, and made with such high-quality ingredients. You can really tell there's a lot of thought put into the menu. After dinner, we were escorted over to their lounge next door for a nightcap and listening party, which was such a fun addition to the evening. We loved the experience so much that when our waiter mentioned they also serve breakfast, we came back the very next day to try the breakfast menu for the first time! And WOW -- breakfast did not disappoint. We tried the Sonoran dog with roe, tres leches French toast, steak and eggs, and the tamale bowl. Everything was amazing, but the Sonoran dog with roe was LIFE CHANGING. I would highly recommend either the steak and eggs or the Sonoran dog. We had a plan until we drove past a restaurant called Breakfast Bitch. The name immediately caught my attention, and I said, "I want to go there!" So we found some street parking and headed inside. The first thing I noticed was all the fun decorations and the overall vibe. There are definitely some creative scenes and decor throughout the restaurant. That said, if you're offended by the B word, this is probably not the place for you because the name and theme are definitely part of the experience. There was about a 30-minute wait for a table, but they have a connected bar that is part of the restaurant, so we went over there and grabbed seats while we waited. It actually worked out well and gave us a more casual place to hang out. One thing that wasn't quite as great was that they didn't give us an actual menu. We had to scan a QR code to pull up the menu on our phones, and unfortunately, it took a really long time to load. The phone service in that area wasn't great, so it made trying to figure out what we wanted to order a little frustrating. I ordered the American, which was a flaky croissant with an egg, cheesy hash browns, and bacon. Croissants are my favorite, so I was already sold! I think it could have used a little sauce, but overall, it was really good. My daughter ordered the Frenchy, which was a croissant filled with chocolate chips, strawberries, a cream cheese layer, and strawberry jam. I had to steal a few bites, and it was delicious! She also ordered a side of bacon, which she really enjoyed, although it was definitely on the greasy side. Our friend ordered the breakfast burrito. She thought it was decent and said she could probably get something similar just about anywhere, so she wasn't quite as impressed as we were with our meals. But my daughter and I really enjoyed what we ordered. One of my favorite parts of the experience was the atmosphere. They had a live DJ playing music, and at one point, he announced someone's birthday and started playing a birthday song. The birthday girl actually got up and danced, and it was so much fun! The music was fantastic, and we found ourselves doing a little seat dancing while we ate. It was pretty loud, so it was sometimes difficult to hear each other, but we were sitting on the bar side, so that may have contributed to it. And the funniest part is that they close at 6 p.m., but the whole place had more of a nightclub vibe than a breakfast restaurant! Overall, Breakfast Bitch was definitely a fun and unexpected way to start our Phoenix trip. The menu situation and phone service were a little frustrating, and the service wasn't necessarily the strongest part of the experience, but the food, music, atmosphere, and laughs more than made up for it. I'm not sure what the coating is, but it was so so flavorful and so crispy, and the chicken still so juicy. I could eat that on its own. The pepper jems were a cute touch! The mashed potatoes were so creamy. The chicken was placed on top of them so the bottom of the chicken did get soggy so my one suggestion is to place the chicken to the side, but the coating did rub into the potatoes which added some more flavor. The green beans were also tasty, nothing special, but the pistachio butter elevated it (nothing else needed the pistachio butter, not sure what else you use it for). I had a chocolate cake for dessert, the only gluten free dessert they offered me, but I still appreciate the option. It was just okay. The cake was dense and a little dry and didn't scream rich chocolate. There was a chocolate mousse layered in which helped. My boyfriend had some sort of strawberry cake mousse thing with layers of many different things - he thought it okay, I tried the mousse part and really liked it. We had red wine and it was delicious! The service was great, very attentive and they packed some ice in a cup for me because we weren't going home after!

Sometimes they are fresh but then other times they do not taste so fresh. They have plenty of parking and accessible parking with ramps. The environment can be loud depending on which day you go. The weekends tend to get packed and there is a line often during weekends. I'd say Lucis is family friendly. Be sure to keep an eye out on them. No running inside the building.

My sister in law and friend both ordered the filet mignon and both really enjoyed their steaks. For sides we ordered the potatoes and Brussels and I highly recommend you order those for your sides if you go. The potatoes are ridiculously good. We ended on some desert, although I was too full, my husband got the chocolate cheesecake and my SIL got the sticky cake.
