Tried Maui Pie to compare with Leoda's, and they are both yummy in their own ways! Ordered the key lime, banana cream, and lillikoi pie slices from here, and we were given an extra slice of key lime because the crust broke off. The key lime and lillikoi pie textures were both nice and smooth, with strong fruit flavor. The key lime was tart and not too sweet, and both pies were indulgently rich. The crust was really well made, perfectly flaky. The service was great, and it seemed pretty empty inside when we visited, but if we weren't so full from lunch, we definitely would have stayed and enjoyed the ambiance. The decor was super cute!

When visiting Maui, I don't know why so many people say Leoda's is great for pies. Their pies had ZERO flavor. Maui pie was so so so good. And the staff had all the patience for all my questions. We got the banana cream pie and the limited blueberry pie and both were really good. They're not too sweet at all and the crust was PERFECT! I like that you can just get a slice (even tho they're huge) because sometimes I don't want a whole mini pie. Easy shopping center parking

We are back in kihei town, and i know i will have an oven to bake a pie. So, one large chicken pot pie, and a small chocolate cream pie for a special desert. This will be at least two meals. Really , something to look forward to. Can't get this anywhere else but Kihei, Maui.

I am a Travel Accessibility Advisor for Wheelchair World Traveler on YouTube and TikTok. I went in last night right before closing and got 5 different pies to sample. To be honest, I have been here on Maui for over 2 weeks and I have tried every other pie from every other company on this island and this place is my #1 pick. It is wheelchair accessible, the prices are fair (and even a little less than other places) and the service was exceptionaly friendly and Aloha Cool. Alll good vibes at this very special pie place. This was one of our favorite spots on Maui! I was really hoping to try chocolate haupia pie. We ended up here at Maui Pie. We got a slice of chocolate haupia pie to share, which was $7. They had other fruit pies and their April special, a matcha strawberry pie. I really liked the pie! I feel like some coconut desserts can be too coconutty, but this had the write balance of both coconut and chocolate. It didn't feel like one flavor was overwhelming the other and it was silky and smooth. There are tons of parking spots in the area and food as well! The staff here was friendly as well and the shop is pretty cozy to hang out in. If I ever visited Maui again, I'd come back to visit this shop.

One of my favorite treats on Maui! There was a line waiting before open, which makes complete sense given the quality of their pies. Their banana cream pie and coconut cream pie were creamy, delicious, and that crust was like no other - highly recommend coming early before they sell out! Magical crust and crumble! I picked up a mini coconut cream and blackberry mango (pie of the month) and they are SO GOOD! The crust is delicious with perfect texture and consistency. I will definitely go back and try more flavors!! Did I mention great service? So nice!!

Tried the strawberry-mango... pie was delicious. Special kudos to the chef for making a dessert that was just the right amount of sweet. Not surpy sweet... just perfect. The crust is also very good. 1000% the best pie my husband and I have ever had! We sooo wish that we could copy and paste this place and put it in Arizona. We decided to grab a mini Mountain Berry pie that we were able to share for dessert. We took it back to our resort with us to have later but there was plenty of room to sit inside. The establishment was clean, cute, and smelt of delicious pies!! Our pie was sweet and full of berries. The crust and crumble were 10/10 as well!! When you pull in to the parking lot you will not see a sign for this place as it sits on the street. You will have to walk towards the front of the shopping center to find this little piece of heaven!!

This is a nice spot in Kihei if you are craving something sweet. They have pies by the slice or to go boxes too. I tried the small pies: chocolate haupia and passion fruit. I loved the chocolate haupia, wasn't overly sweet and the coconut crème perfectly balanced the sweetness of the chocolate. I wasn't a fan of the passion fruit, it's an acquired taste and I found it a bit too tart for my liking. Overall, friendly service and plenty of parking in the strip mall. I especially love that they have cool water in a dispenser as it gets hot in the summer here. If you craving pies in Maui, this is a good spot to try!

Yum! Ordered our pies at the counter then sat inside to enjoy our precious pies! They have both indoor and some outdoor seating areas Came too late to try the chicken pot pie sadly but had the Portuguese sausage and it was yummy! They also do frozen pies if you have access to an oven or to cook it at home ! The banana pie was so delicious I took a pic of it half eaten. It was like a banana pudding in a pie crust! So good!! The chocolate haupia was a chocolate creamy pudding with coconut pudding/flan texture! A dreamy creamy decadent dessert! Would have loved to try the beautiful heart crusted strawberry apple pie but sadly had no more room in my stomach lol Everything is yummy! Can't go wrong with any pie!!!

I was with a couple of friends looking for pie and a good cup of coffee. A friend mentioned a pie place he had seen but never tried. We said let's check it out!! Maui Pie is a great place to get awesome pies by the slice or a whole pie to take home. The varieties to choose from are amazing! OMG - such good pie!! I only had time to visit this place twice on my recent trip and wished I could have brought a whole pie back home to the mainland. My go to pie was the mango strawberry. The filling is amazing, perfect amount of fruity and tardiness. The pie crust was the best part, I loved the crispy pie crust topping on top. Maui Pie is definitely one of the best pies I've had. Dude! If you like pie, you will not be disappointed! Even if you don't consider yourself a "pie person" which I don't, this place might change your mind. My thing with pies is I usually don't care about the crust and I might even just eat the inside. Not the case here. The crumble crust might even be my favorite part! Oh and even though it doesn't have the crumble crust, I love the lilikoi pie. Kind of like a key lime style, but it's lilikoi. There are a couple different sizes and I believe you can even get pie by the slice. I also had a couple friends rave about the chicken pot pie, but warned it might put you in a food coma if you eat the whole thing. I really need to try it! read more

We loved Maui pie and unlike the reviews, the staff was very friendly. The coconut creme pie is the best. I saw some fool state that he or she didn't like the coconut pie because it had coconut shreds in it lol. THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE. Really good pies. Raspberry peach is tart and perfect. Mango strawberry is sweet but perfect. I love the banana creme pie too! read more

My teens have been craving coconut cream pie during our Maui vacation. We drove about 12 min to the store. I believe the website said it was the owners dream to own this business. We were expecting a friendly attitude, especially as we were the only people there. Unfortunately the workers were strangely unfriendly and rude. Made us feel like an inconvenience! Sad for any business, but especially when it is the owners dream. The pie was good, but not worth the attitude of the lady helping us! read more

OMG. Its sooo hard to find real fruit pies in Hawaii unless you bake them yourself. Or Costco if you're really desperate. This is seriously pie of love. Lilikoi was not too tart and not too sweet. North Shore has a nice balance of sweet and tart. Best eaten fresh that day. Especially if you like that crumble crust. Hmmmm read more

It's obviously not a secret how good this place is. Spent our honeymoon in Maui for two weeks and discovered Maui Pie on our third night and got hooked! We came here every night after that. Our cousin was just visiting a year ago and she even brought us home a whole pie. It's THAT GOOD. I am so happy this place is still in Maui and hope to come back soon!! read more

Sadly, this place is not what it used to be. Their success has made the help arrogant and rude. I've been trying to order pies for 4 days - on the phone, online and in person. No one cares. "Too bad - nothing we can do" is what I was just told after my 4th attempt to order on the telephone. Even more confusing, when I asked how I order if not online, on the phone or in person - I was told "we only take orders" so I asked "how do I order" and she said "we aren't taking orders". I asked "ever?" And she hung up on me. I'm a former good client - whose not coming back. The pies are good -get them if you can - with service like this - they won't last on Maui. read more

This place is seriously good pie! I love to bake and their crust was perfection and the pie slices we chose were perfection. Arrived 15 minutes before closing after we finished our meal at a nearby restaurant. As we sat there eating our pie mindful of the closing time and observing the 2 staff members starting to wrap up their day,people kept streaming in for their evening pie fix! The Haupi coconut was beyond words The coconut cream pie was also a winner I have no idea why there aren't more locations of this shop even on other islands. Amazing and such wonderful service!!! My husband and I came with another couple and each one of us got a different kind so we could taste test! They were all so good- very fresh tasting and we didn't get here until after 6pm! The woman at the counter was so sweet and full of smiles. We would highly recommend this place! Snarky young adults selling pies don't help business. I'm sure the pie would have been great but we literally listened to the young lady at the cash register be so incredibly snarky to an older gentleman that mistakenly brought a display pie over to the register, that we left without getting a pie. He had just taken the top off to show her and said, "we'll take take this one" She rolled her eyes and gave a disgusted laugh and said "I guess you will now since you touched it!". My 13 year old has better social skills than this girl. Ugh. How embarrassing for such a highly rated business. read more

You cannot leave Maui without stopping by Maui pie! You will regret it if you do! Found this place on yelp last year and had to come back again this year. Their chicken pot pie is the best I have ever had and the strawberry mango pie is to die for :) Service is quick and the staff are super warm and welcoming. Amazing pies. We took 5 different kinds home (by the slice) and had a ton of fun trying every one and picking the winner. My daughter's favorite was chocolate haupia, my husband loved coconut cream. I had a hard time deciding but I think banana cream pie was my favorite. Try them all!!! You only live once. read more

If you're visiting Maui this is definitely a must. We got a coconut cream pie and it's probably the best I've ever had. The pies are quite small if you're splitting with more than one other person but great if you just want a little bit of sugar. read more

Chicken pot pie is to die for. I mean it's so amazing that my mouth is watering right now as I write this review. It's not too bad of pricing but yes it is high because we are in Maui. If you're looking for great baked goods this is the place. By far the best pie shop on the South side and maybe the best on island. Love their crust it's so buttery and amazing. Ugh I'm hungry now. read more

Pie was ok. Service not so much. We went on a friday night around 630pm. Me and my husband were the only 2 in the store. When we walked in, it appeared that we might have interrupted her from counting the pies. She definitely gave off the vibe that she did not want to be bothered. First time, had to try this spot. The girl at the counter, young girl with black hair and tall. She spoiled my experience. She did not greet us nor smile. I had to tell her when I was ready to order. I ordered a piece of Banana Cream Pie and not impressed at all for 5.00 and some change. Bananas was too brown.. The cream was over sweet. I was NOT impressed! The counter girl didn't even say thank you,, nothing. I bit my tongue from saying something to her. The owner should be careful of hiring people like this, it could hurt your business in the long run. I will not return. I'm sticking to Leoda's pies and friendly staff. read more

I love dessert and I bake a mean pie so it takes a lot to impress me. We went tonight and ordered chocolate cream pie, north shore pie and mango strawberry pie. We added whipped cream to the two fruit pies and all I can say is YUM! This may be the best pie I've ever had. I preferred the fruit pies to the chocolate cream pie (it was average). The crust is delicious and the fruit filling is the perfect consistency. I want another piece...RIGHT NOW. If you like pie and are nearby, you must go! read more

thursday: 9/1/16.... my wife and I are visiting from Oahu and we decided to buy a pie from here for our desert tonite to eat back at the hotel...we read a lot of good reviews and wanted to try it...we bought the strawberry mango rubarb cake.... The reason I'm giving only 4 stars tho is because the girl at the counter was not so friendly with us at all..I didnt see her smile the whole time we were buying the cake...I didnt feel so warm as we should in sweet pie place like this.......other than that the cake was so onolicious!!!!!....we'll be back to buy another pie when we come back to Maui!!!....hopefully the same girl will be in a better mood?.... read more

Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. But I dither, Nick's Fishmarket Maui is in an incredible location inside the Fairmont Kea Lani and it's setting alone would be enough to pull me back even if the food was just okay. Thankfully the food is MUCH better than "just okay", it is generally outstanding. I rotate starters and salads because there are so many great choices. The Caesar Salad is about as good as they get, but I really, really like the Maui Greek Salad. With at least four people we start with the Seafood Tower, but find it just too big for two of us. Other than that the Kalua Pig Pot Stickers, Charred Octopus, Crab Cakes and Blackened Ahi are the starters I rotate through. For my Main, I am less eclectic. I have a hard time getting away from the Diver Scallops and Scampi. I have tried other dishes, the Abalone, Kona Lobster and Ribeye (I know, I know, who orders steak in a seafood restaurant), but I keep coming back to. For Dessert, I am also in a rut, but I love desserts they set on fire and in this case it is Bananas Foster. I do sneak bites off my DW's Creme Brulee, as does off my BF. The service is terrific, attentive without being intrusive. I used to joke about the Chicago store that if you knocked a spoon off the table someone would catch it before it hit the floor. The Maui service isn't quite that attentive and I am not sure I would want it to be.

Woke up way earlier than any vacation day should allow and drove 40 minutes to Maui Pie to surprise my pie-loving husband for his birthday--and honestly, worth every yawn. We went all in with two whole pies (because self-control is not a vacation goal): Apple Crumble and North Shore Berry. Both were dangerously good. The apple crumble, warmed up with vanilla ice cream, was sweet with the perfect crunch, while the North Shore Berry hit that perfect sweet-tangy balance. The shop itself is small but beautifully decorated with a chic island vibe. Service was minimal, but the cashier was so friendly she even offered candles--because apparently pie counts as birthday cake here (fully agree). Just had to give an update. We tried the raspberry peach and the strawberry peach pies the other day. ONO! Last night we had guests over and of course we had to serve them Maui Pies. We brought home one of our favorites, the blueberry crumble and also decided to try the coconut cream pie. Both were totally awesome. The coconut cream pie is like your grandma used to make (well at least like my grandma used to make). Not one of those super fluffy, no substance, no taste, coconut cream pies that some places serve. Maui pie has a large variety of pies and baked goods to choose from. I believe $8 a piece for pie is reasonable for some of their slices (like strawberry mango with a crumble topping) but for others like banana or chocolate cream that tastes like instant pudding in a pie crust, I'm not sure $8 is fair. Highly recommend strawberry mango pie, would order the mountain berry again but would pass on almost all of the cream pies as I just don't think the quality is there for the price. read more
