Can't beat $2 Tuesdays. $2 cover fee and $2 tacos plus line dancing lessons and a mechanical bull ??? Count me in ! Love it here

    The whole place to ourselves

My husband rented the space for my birthday and it was so fun! The party was 3:30-6:30, kids welcome. The staff is real friendly. They had food, a dj, a line dancing class and karaoke. Oh and did I mention the mechanical bull? We did an open bar and the drinks were so good. Strong and well-balanced. Truly a great experience!

Her ignoring us and serving others who were behind us in line while we stood there waiting

The bartender purposely ignored us multiple times. We came up waited our turn and she continued to pretend we weren't there until we spoke up to her. I came two separate times, once by myself, another with a friend who was also asian American, and she treated us both the same way. Very disappointing considering we came here to have the same fun as everyone else.

    Fun times with friends

Looking for the perfect western themed evening and place to wear your western attire and dance the night away? This is the place. As a kid I always heard about the infamous saddle rack and didn't have the chance to visit the original one that was in San Jose but experienced the Fremont location that has since closed. I've been back and fourth to Nashville and love the line dancing and western theme bars there and was on the hunt for one out here in the Bay Area. I went on a rainy Saturday night and this place was packed! Lots of people line dancing, full bar, a mechanical Bull and I met some wonderful regulars who gave me the run down on all things line dancing! Loved it so much I came back the week after and brought friends from out of town! If your looking to kick start your cowgirl or cowboy era I suggest you giddy down to mavericks and have a good time!

    Ask the Community - Mavericks

Are same sex couples welcome for line dancing at Maverick's? My partner and I are looking for a place to learn to line dance.

We do have a few same sex couples that come in to dance. They seem to have a great time!

Can I bring in decorations and a cake to celebrate a birthday?

Yes! You sure can bring in your own decorations and a birthday cake. We just ask that you take whatever you bring in with you when you head home.

    Do they have happy hour?

On their Yelp review, under More Amenities it says they have a happy Hour. In May 2023 they had a happy hour menu. Not sure if it's changed. You can always call them.

Are there any days where 21under is allowed in?

No, it is 21 & over only

    Is Mavericks still in business?

YES! Open Fridays & Saturdays and planning to open Wednesdays for lessons

So they have a pool table?

They do not. They have some large yard games inside that you can play though. They also have an arcade dart machine as well.

What nights do they have line dancing and lessons?

Typically Saturdays beginning at 7:30 PM. Check their online calendar for specific details:…

How busy is it on a typical Saturday night? Do they offer line dancing instruction, or is it just open dancing?

Went last night. No instructions, open dancing. Not crowded, it was interesting. They charge a 10.00 fee to get in which is odd...if they want more business, need to drop the fee

Bravazo is located in downtown Pleasanton, there are plenty of free parking in the area. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating! I stopped by on a Friday and with it being 70+ degrees, I opted for sitting inside! I ordered the passion fruit juice and aji de gallina. The juice was so refreshing on a nice day like this. The food did take some time and they offered me a beef empanada while I waited! Both the empanada and aji de gallina were very flavorful. Even the inside of the potato was very seasoned. My guest got the pan con chicharron and thought the meat was very tender and tasty. The staff were great especially Cesar!! Vibrant flavors and great outdoor dining in downtown Pleasanton!…read more Rating: 5 out of 5 stars We were just walking around downtown Pleasanton planning to visit another Latin-American restaurant when we came across Bravazo. Its vibrant menu immediately caught our attention. Purely by coincidence, we also wanted to listen to some live music, and to our luck, there was live jazz playing right across the street at Nonni's Bistro. We decided to eat at Bravazo and enjoy the music at the same time. I really like when a menu is simple and concise because it gives you the feeling they make sure every dish is cooked to perfection, and they certainly delivered on that! Here is what we ordered: Bravazo Paella: Beautifully presented and served in a massive quantity. It consists of shrimp, mussels, chicken, beef, and chorizo in a deeply flavorful broth. Everything about this dish was fantastic, every bite delivered, and it came with a generous portion of meat and seafood. Peruvian Ceviche (Salmon, Medium Spicy): Made with fresh salmon marinated in lime, cilantro, onions, ginger, sweet potato, and Peruvian corn. It was really good, though I could have done without the spice, so next time I will order it mild. The corn kernels were huge compared to our local corn; we asked about them, and the staff mentioned they ship them directly from Peru, which was a wonderful authentic touch. Custom Salad: Even though a salad was not on the menu, we asked our server if they could accommodate our request, and they happily did! It was a very nice salad that hit the spot, featuring a great portion of avocados, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red Swiss chard, and feta cheese. Service Highlight: They have a server, but the owner also helps out at the tables. It was very thoughtful of the owner to make sure we got fresh new plates for the Peruvian ceviche so the flavors would not mix with the paella. We were so glad we did that because it let us fully appreciate the distinct taste of the ceviche. Practical Details & Atmosphere: Portions and Ordering: When we were seated, the server was very polite and helpful in explaining the portion sizes. He mentioned the paella was big enough to keep two people happy for a while, but we might want a bit more later. We ended up ordering the ceviche midway through our paella, and guess we were hungry because we ended up cleaning all our dishes completely. Parking & Seating: The weather was perfect for outdoor seating, and with the live jazz playing across the street, the meal felt even better. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We were able to park a few blocks away for a short, easy walk. Surprisingly, the downtown stretch was not too busy that Saturday evening, making parking a breeze, though it can get tough if a local event is happening. Overall, Bravazo is a wonderful spot with incredible food and great service. It is definitely a must-visit, and next time we might even try their drinks too!

I came with a party of 10.5, .5 was our niece and had preordered a large thin pizza Blanca, large stuffed Zachary's special and a small thin cheese pizza. With the Blanca, definitely squeeze the lemon wedge over the pizza before devouring! The cheese pizza was a hit with our nephew. We could've ordered another Blanca instead of the special. There were large chunks of bell peppers and onions under the red sauce that could've been sliced thinner. We had this boxed with over half remaining. In addition to the pizzas, we also added roasted cauliflower, wings, and the meatballs. Both their Buffalo and BBQ wings were fully sauced. Maybe instead of their ranch, will consider asking for more of the applicable sauce. Meatballs were drowned in what appeared and tasted like the same red sauce in the special pizza.. Which now makes sense because both have Zachary in their menu name. These were also boxed up. Roasted cauliflower was well seasoned and a good balance between all the red sauce. Our original server clocked out and a new server took over- that's the story the gentleman/new server shared with us. Awkward. Even at Olive Garden, the server has taken the initiative to tell us of a server change.
