Had a bad week my Family car 2 front tires blew out and the next day my Car I use to commute to work engine blew out omw to work so I was stranded and needed to have my family car fixed by the time I got home but the Tow truck company didn't except Debit over the phone so I called Mike at Mavis and asked if they would pay the tow truck fee until I got back into Tarrytown and he said Yes And I really Appreciated that because that was not his problem so I will always be a loyal Mavis Costumer from now on read more

Do NOT wait there for your tires to be put on. The team here works at a very relaxed pace. Getting two tires took 2:45 from the time the car went up on the hoist. Recommend looking for other options. read more

Worst experience with this company, they are not true to their word. They took in my car for work on the radiator and due to the poor work done on my car and not flushing out excess air out it caused my water pump to go and my car to over heat less than 2 weeks after I received the car back. When the issue was brought up to their attention it was noted and said that since it was under warranty they would fix the issue and apologized. It took them 1 week to pick up my car following by an additional 2 1/2 weeks with my car in their possession with them lying saying it was not my water pump that it was the engine block and saying they had taken it to a different shop without my consent. After realizing that nothing was being done and trying to contact them back my calls kept being ignored the supervisors or manager was never in , until I finally got in touch with them and informed them my personal mechanic would do the job they could clearly not get done, upon arrival of my car from Mavis to the shop a very big dent from the passenger side front door to the back door looked to have been polished as if to make it unnoticeable when I called to complain about the vandalism done to my car while in their possession no one answered they would hang up on me and when I reached out to corporate they assured me they would take care of everything and I informed them of them having to pay me for the job they could not do on top of the damages to my car and was told I would get a call back and not surprisingly I never did. This is not the first time I have issues with this company! Never again will I be doing business with them and I will be notifying everyone I know that goes there how unprofessional they are , I am a bartender and server and I know and meet a lot of people throughout Westchester and I will be letting everyone know of the disgusting manor this company behaves and does their work. read more

BEWARE!!! On 1/2/2017 I went to this Mavis location for an oil change and to have my brakes & rotors fixed. First of all I dropped my vehicle off at about 2 pm and did not get my vehicle back until probably 6pm! Then upon leaving I realized that my car still said that " a oil change is required " so I went back and advised the service rep that my vehicle was not reprogrammed. I also noticed that the sticker on the windshield was not replaced to state when I would be due for another oil change. Now it's approximately 2 or 3 weeks later and I'm getting the picture of an oil can on my dashboard. I call Mavis and I'm told "you might need an oil change " I said how is that when I was literally there in the beginning of the month? So the symbol kept appearing on my dashboard so I went to another mechanic. The mechanic asked "when was the last time you had an oil change?" I said in the beginning of the month, he said impossible because your oil is completely EMPTY and you could've blew the engine!! I am so angry because Mavis took my money and I have no idea what they did but it CERTAINLY WAS NOT AN OIL CHANGE! I spoke to a guy named Richie & he said bring the car in and speak to service manager Chris, I want my money back & I will NEVER bring my car here again!!! read more

Usually good service but would've appreciated a heads up about the muffler strap that was rusted and hanging from the bottom of the car - easy to see when the car is on the lift but not so easy to see otherwise. At least they don't leave oil all over the floor mats like Monro in the Palisades Mall. read more

Everyone in the shop was friendly, courteous and acted quickly to help resolve my problem. I had blown out a tire and a wheel (2 separate wheels not the same ones-go figure) on potholes. They quickly problem solved my situation and made sure that I could safely travel home and order the needed wheel. My wife and I were on our way to our son's wedding rehearsal on a Saturday at the Tarrytown Hilton when we had a blowout in NJ on our way up. We called Mavis ahead and they set up a 'ticket' for us to save time. Brought the tire in at 3:00 and had it back on the car by 5:00 - just in time to get to all the festivities! A different location was dishonest and sketchy and their customer service style really turned me off (um, no you can't have my phone number.) Not these guys! They are great. Respectful and helpful. Went to Mavis because it was close to my house,usually I go to Yonkers because I know the guys and they are legit. I had two tires and two rims,needed the tires mounted and the wheels balanced,they were going back in my trunk.I didn't even need them to put the wheels on the car itself. I asked the man behind the counter for a price,since mounting and balancing are standard services.He proceeded to look at my car,the tire size,and took my information.Again I asked for a price,he said "I'll have to look it up". Takes my number and says "We'll call you". An hour later I get the call and go pick up my wheels.That'll be $75.14! I'm not cheap by any means but when I am knowlingly getting screwed I can't take it. I had to hold my tongue because I wanted to lay into this guy so bad.Now I know why he wouldn't tell me the price,I would have taken my business elsewhere. 2 tires mounted and balanced in Yonkers:$30 2 tires mounted and balanced at Mavis Ripoff Auto:$75.14 Lesson learned,I will never be going back to these guys and I will make sure to tell everyone I know my experience. Took it in for minor work and asked if I needed anything done with the brakes. I was shocked to get the car back with a bill for just $32 and told the brakes were fine. On time, under budget and nice people to boot. read more

After posting my review I received word from Jenna at Mavis, who forwarded my concerns to the regional manager, Alex. I received a call from the regional manager Alex who seemed very concerned about my complaints. He diligently discussed all my concerns. When Alex became aware I was shopping for tires, he offered to make every effort to enhance my experience at another Mavis location near me. He gave me his phone number and requested that I advise him what tires I needed. The next day I texted him and received no response. The following day I called him and left voicemail. No response. I waited a week to hear from him. Nothing. I went to a competitor and was very happy with them. I guess store management is a reflection of regional and corporate leadership. So disappointed in Mavis. The good news is Tire Warehouse in Elmsford beats Mavis price and let me combine discounts including an alignment and took 10% off my total bill (received a mailer from them with these discounts). They even had fresh coffee and donuts waiting when I got there at 7:30 AM. Very honest and courteous crew at Tire Warehouse. read more

Wow, Just got back from Tarrytown Mavis! I had a new tire put on the passenger side rear and asked Mike to include my free tire rotation and balance the other three tires for the 29.99 special they have. So after they finished i expected to see the new tire up on the passenger front since I asked for a tire rotation. When I went in to ask Mike to put the tire in front I later learned that they didn't even do the rebalancing of the other three tires that I had paid for.I thought something looked bit strange when I looked at the lead weights and they appeared be old or used weights. So they took care of it but If i didn't bother to go inside to complain about the new tire not being rotated to the front I would have drove home without the balancing of the other three tires. Sorry for the long story but I will not go back after that! Oh, and there was a guy there waiting since 4pm to get new tires put on and when I left there at about 7pm tonight he was still waiting. wow! the service has really gone down hill there! read more
