I thought, incorrectly, that my customer experience was inadequate on my first visit to this location. The owner/manager contacted me to address my concerns. What was impressive, was that even though I was wrong and unfair in my original review, he was gracious and polite in addressing my criticisms. He invited me back to the store to meet with him in person. Since he had not personally interacted with me on my first visit, when I went in I was able to inconspicuously observe the employees and the managers general customer interaction. The customer interaction was friendly, familiar, and genuine. I was clearly mistaken in my first review. When I identified myself, the owner checked out my vehicle concern and provided sound advice and options. The quality of an organization can be best measured by how adversity is handled. This business, and especially its owner/manager was very impressive. This interaction happened months ago. I didn't know where I had posted my prior review or I would have made this update sooner. Horrible experience at this business. I made an appointment to get 4 new tires on my SUV. The SUV is only two years old. I made the credit card deposit and then took my vehicle in at the appointment time. The manager Chance told me he would call me that afternoon when the vehicle was ready. At 7pm I noticed I had not received a call and called the store but no one answered. The next morning I received a call the vehicle was ready. When I picked it up it was parked way in the back of the parking lot and not out front. I opened the vehicle and immediately noticed the drivers seat was in full recline position like someone had slept in the car. I then drive off and immediately noticed the vehicle is swerving badly and the steering wheel is not lined up. I take it straight back to the store. They say, "oh we did not do something we need to do. Hold tight and we will correct that". I wait for a little over an hour. They then say your vehicle is good and ready to go. We even test drove it for you. I get in the car and start driving home. The vehicle is still swerving and just does not feel safe. I park the vehicle and get out to look at it. I notice then Im missing a lug nut on the front left tire. (Picture below). I also notice the rear wheels are completely bent in and don't look straight at all. (Picture below). I call Chance back and he says bring it back. I was skeptical to drive without the lug nut but took it back. They keep the car for several more hours and I speak with Chance again. He said, "we have done everything we can and it's still not corrected". He said, "I just drove it and I see exactly what you're saying". I told him I'm picking it up and taking to the dealership I bought the car from. I took it to the dealership and the dealer looked at the car and told me they had to realign the vehicle due to the alignment not being right: They also said the rear cam bolts were not tightened after Mavis did the alignment which was causing the rear wheels to be bent in and the vehicle to not drive properly. They also said this can lead to a CATASTROPHIC situation. The incompetence of this store is truly unbelievable. Myself or one of my family members could have been killed due to the horrible work they did on the vehicle. BEWARE!!! read more

GET A SECOND OPINION - and maybe save hundreds of dollars. I recently had an oil change at this location. I was informed that my rear brakes needed repair or replacement and that I shouldn't wait, as they were becoming dangerous. I decided to get a second opinion because I had had issues with one of their other locations when they performed "service" on the front brakes (that later had to be corrected). The second brake service center informed me that my rear brakes were "like new" and that no service was needed. Based on my personal experiences with this company, I will no longer bring my vehicle to this company for any type of service. This was at the 2500 Dallas Highway location. read more

My 71-year-old wife needed a new set of tires. She called the Dallas Highway location, and they told her they had 4 tires in stock that they could have on her car that afternoon. She got there right away around 4:00. It took them to around 6:30 to "complete " the job. We were going out to dinner, so I met her at the tire store. I pulled up behind her car and her old tires were still on it. They had charged her for a brand new set of tires and she was starting to drive off just before I got there. I pointed out that she had the same tires, "a simple mistake" the manager said. My ass, fraud I said and called the police. Needless to say I was pissed. I honestly think they were trying to cheat her. I couldn't prove anything, so they credited back the entire charge the next day. It was either attempted fraud or total incompetence you decide. PSA DO NOT SHOP WITH MAVIS TIRE IN COBB COUNTY!!! Long read I just went through 2 weeks of headache with the location at Barrett Pkwy and Dallas Hwy. I had a set of tires that should have fallen under their warranty. I ordered a new set of tires to be delivered to the store and installed on my truck. They were able to match the price of the exact tire to a local competitor. I show up day off and speak with the associate. I explain that my current set of Pirelli tires are defective and have a bubble forming in the side wall in the exact same place in 3 of the 4 tires. He sees this and measures the remaining tread of my tires. (Note: under their tire warranty, you receive a credit for the remaining usable tread life based on the amount paid for that set of tires. My remaining usable tread life was 2/32 of 9/32 = 22%). As we get started with the new tires, he realized that there is no note of the price match. It takes 4 calls to the corporate office to get the price match confirmed and in the system. Since we had to wait on certain people to call us back for the confirmation, I ended up being at the location for 6.5 hours... The new tires were finally installed in addition to the brake service I had done. The associate stated that he was having an issue with my warranty and that it was not allowing him to apply the credit on my price match. He said that the store manager would be coming in the next morning and can override the transaction to apply my warranty credit. I had him mark the note on my invoice and i settled up for the service. (Note: during the installation, one of my air pressure sensors was damaged and the brakes were not properly bled). The next day I returned back to the store to speak with the manager. I inquired about the warranty and about the next steps. I also mentioned the issues with the tire sensor and brakes. The tire sensor and brake issues were resolved but she still had no answer for the warranty. She said she would begin processing the warranty and would call me back when she had a resolution. Over the next 12 days, I had to consistently call to follow up on this problem. Apparently, the original associate I worked with gave me incorrect information regarding my ability to combine a warranty claim in addition to a price match on a new set. Whether this was done by incompetence, ignorance, or deception, it made it to where I was unable to use either the warranty that comes standard with the tires, or the aftermarket roadside warranty which I also purchased. Ultimately, I have been denied the credit which should have been applied to my purchase. It has taken 10+ hours in store, 11+ calls to the store/customer service and a ton of hoops to jump through for a basic warranty claim. I don't know if others have been through this with them but I'm hoping to at least save a few people the headache in the future. Go to Costco, go to Discount Tire but please, please, please do not waste your time with Mavis. read more

Came to this place because in the midst of me driving back to my side of town my tire pressure light came on and I was scared and hopeless but I seen Ms.Tamara and asked her for her help and she helped me with no hesitation and she assured me my tire inspection was free and educated me on my tire tread and really put my mind at ease. Bad Business. My 2016, 1794 Toyota Tundra emergency brakes worked fine before I paid $555.41 to replace Rotors, brake pads, and brake fluid flush on 08/18/2024 at the 2500 Dallas HWY Suite 700, Marietta, GA 30064 at 8am. When I returned my truck on 08/19/2023, the tech drove the truck and agreed, I have no emergency brakes. He wanted to schedule an appointment for Monday, 08/21/2023 to repair what they did in error. I advised that since I'm here I will leave it, he said it should be ready around 1pm. Then he said, there will be a $150 fee. I did not feel I should pay for their mistake and I will have to go to another shop to have their error corrected. This is bad business to charge a customer for something that worked before Mavis Tire did something in error to make the emergency brakes inoperable and now would like for me to pay. Bad business. They have gone completely downhill since they were Kauffman. Every time I have taken my vehicle in, it has been one thing or another. Recently had a flat tire and asked them to replace my left side tires and put the spare back in the compartment as well as change my lug nuts to all be the same size. They said no problem at all. Get my car back (after they didnt call to tell me it was ready) and none of it was done. I was told that it wasn't in the order (I had a copy of the order. Clearly on there. So they lied). Father in law just got back from trying to get his tires done. They called 3 hours after it was supposed to be done saying they only got two tires instead of four. Just so poorly run in all aspects. This place is wonderful.. from the initial phone call they were professional, friendly, honest and transparent. They explained each need and the components they will effect. I did not feel pressured at all, they actually gave me the knowledge so I could make my own choice. The service writer suggested I call and check prices elsewhere and guarantee to beat that price.. i checked around and it wasn't even close mavis had easily beaten prices of all the places I checked. Never use these guy After numerous calls to corporate office, and they said someone will call you with in 24 hours, no one calls. No customer service!!!!!! Don't not use Mavis for any of your tire needs, I had to spend more money to repair what they had broke on our vehicle. And of course corporate doesn't return your calls. They had the Goodyear tires that I wanted in stock for my Avalon and provided good service. I got an alignment as well with the new tires, and a few days later ended up hitting a curb rather hard unfortunately. When I came back to have the lug nuts retorqued (which they said to have done after driving 25 miles) I asked them to check the alignment for me again and they did. Steven was the person there both times and he was great! We will keep coming back. read more

Scheduled to get 4 new tires. Go to pick up car after the work was done, only 2 tires were replaced. They were going to charge me for 4 had I not noticed only 2 had been replaced. I don't think they were trying to rip me off, they just are poorly managed. They could have told me so I could have waited until they had all 4 tires before doing the work. NOPE, they just did half the job and I would have paid for 4 tires had I not noticed when I went to pick the car up. I know they thought they did all 4 tires because they had to redo the invoice for only 2 tires when I paid after I pointed out only 2 tires had been replaced. Despite my better judgment, I scheduled a follow up to do the other 2 tires for today Jan 2, 2021. I go to drop my car off, only to be told, once I got there, they didn't have the tires. They claimed they left a voicemail which I showed them I had no voicemail nor a call from them since I scheduled the follow up appointment. Why was I not informed before the first appointment that they only had 2 of the 4 tires? Why did they do the work without informing me they could only do half the job? Why was I not informed before my second appointment they did not have the tires? No communication, poorly run, don't waste your time. read more

Worst customer service ever. I've been going to this location (as Kauffman Tire) for over a dozen years. I thought I'd give the new owners an opportunity. 'Went in to check the tread on my tire, and was told I needed new ones. When looking at the options and prices, a new employee was doing her best to help me. No problem; I am happy to be patient with her learning curve. What trouble me the most was her supervisor standing over her making corrections to her comments in a demeaning way. I explained to the supervisor that I've been coming to this location for many years and purchased dozens of tires for multiple vehicles over the years. He gave zero value to customer loyalty and basically dismissed my comment. Do yourself a favor; if you're in this area, go to True Automotive on powder Springs Road. Thank me later. read more

BEWARE! ONLY go there if you don't care about your SAFETY!!! Incompetent, and Irresponsible! After they completed an alignment and gave the car back, the car pulled immediately into oncoming traffic. They worked on it for 2 days before admitting they could not do the job. Had to take the vehicle to the dealer to get it corrected, which they did without issue. Mavis refused to refund the charge, and would not pay to fix what they screwed up. Manager Ali made promises, and broke them. Their corporate office is a joke, and their Regional Manager Ebony did nothing. read more

I have gone to many auto service centers and tire stores for brakes, tires etc. and I am accustomed to waiting, hearing up charge sales suggestions and looking at the service bays which tell you a lot about the installation and balancing of your tires. So I was greatly surprised how Mike and his staff treated me when I had a small problem mounting a wheel on an electric bike. I had spent the entire afternoon trying to mount the tire. He saw my frustration , took me in immediately and mounted the wheel which was not easy. Based on the way I was treated, cleanlness of the store and the caring attitude of the Assistant Manager and his staff I will be comng back with my automobiles and truck. I'm no stranger to long wait times. Is what it is these days. The manager was very open and honest about how long my service would take and communicated with me throughout that time ensuring me when my car was in cue, then on the lift and when done. I really enjoyed the access to a work space, charging stations and the waiting area was quiet enough for me to get plenty of work done ! I had my faith in Kauffman Tire briefly dashed this week, but luckily they just restored it. I have always been a big fan - I appreciate that they don't try to up-sell me on some crazy expensive tires or services I don't need. I have always found Kauffman Tire employees to be dependable and honest - an important quality for a woman getting her car serviced. I appreciate that I can always run by and have them take a look at my tires if I'm not sure about something (ie: when I curb it and am scared it's gonna blow out on the interstate at some point in the near future), and I've always appreciated the service I get here. I have gotten my last couple of sets of tires at Kauffman and have always recommended them to friends and family. This week I got a flat tire from a big ol' nail. My tires are only a few months old, and I was pretty bummed to hear I needed a new tire, expecting to pay the prorated price. Bummed turned to mad and confused when they told me I didn't have road hazard protection on them. What?! I am an anxious human and have never turned down a protection plan in my life. I paid for a new tire and left, feeling like my faith in them had been dashed. I couldn't believe that I somehow left without road hazard protection on these tires. They didn't mention it to me at my purchase, so I assumed it was included and I certainly never would have authorized removing it - even to save a few bucks! I sent an email today expressing how upset I was and - I kid you not - within FIVE minutes my phone was ringing! Trip was very understanding and apologetic and wanted to help me get it figured out. He ended up adding the protection to all four of my tires at no cost to me. I'm knocking off a star because we're still not clear on how exactly I managed to leave the store with 4 unprotected tires in the first place and I'm still down the cost of the replacement tire from earlier this week. Having said that, I feel like they really worked hard to restore my faith in them and I appreciate the gesture and attempt to make things right. I needed a tire looked at and was in a hurry, so I asked how long it would be. I was told an hour, which seemed excessive, but I agreed to wait. The girl at the desk took the keys and disappeared. 3 hours later, my car still had not been brought back. I missed several important meetings at work and didn't even have an opportunity to get it looked at. I'm beyond disappointed and mad. I wasted 3 hours and still have no idea what's wrong with the tire. I will NEVER be back nor do I recommend this facility to anyone if you want good customer service. read more

Kim and Jay were very professional and knowledgeable in assessing my vehicle's vibration issue (I thought it was a problem with the brakes). Turned out to be a couple of worn tires and a misalignment. Kim and Jay took care of my vehicle in a timely fashion and Mavis' pricing actually beat Costco's. Our family has used this location 2x and we have been very well taken care of by the staff. We had 2 new tires put on in Sept 2021 and the price was great! The service was completed in a very reasonable time. In Nov 2021, we had to have a tire replaced and were in a time crunch - again, this location met and exceeded our needs. I have used Kauffman Tire for the last time. Everything is great whenever you are spending money at the store but as soon as you come in for your "free" tire rotation it is always going to be about 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs before it can be done. I went into the store again to get a tire rotation 12/26/2013 and guess what 1.5 hrs was the estimate to do 15 min of work. I went in the morning and only 2 customers in the store??? So I waited and waited after 2 hrs I asked to check out, the work was still not done. This is the last time. My other car is up for new tires and it will not be going to this kauffman tire center or maybe not even kauffman at all. read more

I was in dire need of new tires for my 5 year old car. All four of my tires barely had any treads left and one of the tires even had a slit in it (hope nobody's hating on me..!) It was my first time buying tires and I searched like a mad woman trying to get the best deal possible. When I called them they were able to give me a price match for the lowest price I found plus some additional dinero off. This also included their lifetime tire rotation & balance. I also needed to fix my alignment but I had found a better deal somewhere else so when I mentioned that they said they could price match that too. I thought they only price match tires so this was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't able to get the 12,000 mile/12months warranty for the alignment but it's ok, I didn't really care for that. I've been a loyal customer of Discount Tires for years but after several not-so-good experiences, I made the switch to Kauffman and they've treated me well. It was time to replace all four tires. The OTHER tire place had lost a lugnut so Kauffman ordered a new one to replace the bolt my husband had put on the tire to get me by. They honored the internet discounts I had found online even though I didn't book online. And they managed to find an extra discount too. And they provided service with a smile. Danny, who I believe is a manager, was my first point of contact by phone and he saw the process through when I brought my car in. He was a friendly voice, a friendly face, and later, he defined REAL customer service. Before my first tire rotation was due, I popped a curb. Totally my fault. I went in to have the tire replaced. All it cost was a new warranty ($10 I think). One hiccup I had was the tire had to be ordered when I had it replaced - they didn't have any in stock that day. They ordered it and I showed up at the same time as the truck. I waited 30 minutes while they unloaded the truck and guess what...the inventory people had not loaded the tire (I knew it wasn't the store's fault because I was standing there when Danny ordered the tire over the phone). So, I had no tire to show for a wasted lunch break, and I couldn't possibly fit swinging back over to Kauffman into my schedule the next two days. I was very disturbed, although it was obvious it had nothing to do with the storefront, and everything to do with the supplier. Danny insisted it was unsafe to drive the car for two more days with the tire ripped from the curb popping incident. He said he would drive down to the supplier himself and pick it up, and install it himself TODAY, even if he had to stay after hours to catch me after work. I told him I had to pick up my kid first and he said he'd come back to the store after that. THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND. I got the car back in, they got the tire on in no time. Waived the warranty fee. And offered a free oil change on top of that. Little mistakes happen in the real world - like tires not making it on a truck - but with prices and customer service like this, I give this business five stars. Thank you Danny!
