I'd seen how packed their location near Tangram was for a while now so I'd been curious about this place. My family had also heard good things about this place so when we were in this area looking for a quick bite, we decided this was fate. I usually have low expectations when the restaurant is trendy and selling classics because they tend to miss the mark and focus on the trend rather than the food, but this place had a good balance of both. The interior was simple and familiar, but also fun and stylish. The menu was also simple and straightforward, with a lot of familiar classics. I got their wonton noodle soup with jasmine lime tea. Wontons are usually a hit or miss for me because most of the time the wrapper's too thick or the filling's too mushy and spongy. But these were great; the wrappers were thin, but didn't fall apart in the soup and the filling was plump, juicy, and had great texture. My bowl had 4 wontons, which might seem like a small portion, but I was very full by the end because they were so large. They also sell bags of their in house made wontons (so you know it's legit) and I wish I had gotten a few bags to go when I was there. The thin duck egg noodles complimented with the clean, rich broth nicely. The jasmine lime tea was also an unexpected favorite. Drinks with lime in it are also a hit or miss for me because I find the acidity in limes overpowering. However this was a new item on their menu so I wanted to try it and I'm glad I did. I loved how fragrant the jasmine tea was and the lime was subtle so it was refreshing. read more

We really enjoyed our dishes! I had the classic wonton noodles and the wontons are huge! I appreciate how much wonton filling and how large the shrimp was in the wonton. Servers are friendly. Maxi Noodles 2 came to my work neighborhood and I'm so excited. The staff are friendly and mostly Cantonese speaking. The noodles are fresh and wontons and dumplings are plumply filled with pork and shrimp. It's flavorful but not salty. I don't feel super thirsty after the meal like at some Chinese places. It's a little on the pricey side but well worth it. This is now my once a week lunch spot. read more

Sooo excited for this second location! No need to drive into the heart of Flushing and struggle with parking. Easy meter & residential parking. Stopped by to pick up dinner on the grand opening day! 10% discount. Much bigger location, about 7-8 tables of 4. The decor is so cute! Food is delicious! Limited menu but so many different possibilities. My only comment (lazy mom wish..less dishes), is that the container was a bit deeper to pour the soup in. This is a second location, the original location is in Flushing. This new location is much more spacious plus with a restroom. They are known for their soups, other cooked dishes. To order soups you can order with 1,2,3 toppings and what type of noodles. You order and they give a pager. Then find a table to sit down and when page pick up order. We ordered a three topping with wontons, dumplings, and fish cake with flat rice noodles, and a three topping with wontons, dumplings, beef stew( extra cost), with duck egg noodles. The broth of both soups was very good. The wontons are larger than regular wonton these are loaded with shrimp, the dumplings are also large in size filled with pork and shrimp, and beef stew. The shrimp wontons loaded with shrimp, dumplings more shrimp than pork, and beef stew so tasty and tender. They have their own made spicy sauce also good with soup. Only minus is they close early at 7:00pm.. will be back to try other menu items. read more

I am from California and we were of course so hungover on a Sunday looking for comfort food and their wonton soup is something so unreal and delicious and best I've ever had. I can't find a place anywhere in California like it. Their broth is one of the best broths I've ever had. You can't go wrong any broth; chicken or beef broth both delicious. Sometimes you take a bite of something so mind-blowingly delicious that you involuntarily shed a tear. Well baby, I was sobbing while eating the duck egg lo mein with wontons. I could never properly convey how perfectly savory, complex, and delicious this dish was, but I will say that they alone are worth the trip to Flushing from Philadelphia. We also tried to Ja Jiang which was also quite good. The staff were the perfect level of friendly and patient with us given it was our first visit. It feels intimate inside without feeling cramped, and it's very clean. One day I hope Maxi opens up a location in Philadelphia Chinatown, but for now, I WILL be back to Flushing solely to experience the pure bliss that is Maxi's Noodles. read more

I was recommended to try this new location recently and it's convenient for my grandfather and I to stop for a quick bite. The size of wonton and fish ball are huge enough to be full after 2 bites but worth it! The staff are friendly and welcoming! Food is great. Always get the wonton dumpling duck noodle soup. My problem is the way they handle the hot sauce. When you dine in, it is on the table and can use as much as you want. To go orders they give you one hot sauce per two orders. And the small container is 1/4 filled. They give you such a hassle when you ask for one. A manager once saw me filling up the hot sauce at the table and said don't do that just ask for it. Well it's a problem and makes me not want to patronize. read more

This is a place I've frequented since it opened at this location. For those who have not been there, this noodle shop is a self served setup. I went there again a week ago, but soon after I placed my order I realized I couldn't find a seat. I immediately asked the cashier to cancel my order because there was no seat available. It was literally just 30 seconds after my order was placed. I told the cashier I would go to do grocery shopping at the supermarket across the street and come back later. However, she didn't practice common sense, to say politely; I lost $14.00 that day. I spent about $50.00 a week at that place, but they're quite busy. I'm sure they don't miss or need my business. I have to select at least one star or I cannot post this review; for this incident, I don't think a star is deserved. read more

The wontons and dumplings have the thinnest wrapper. They are absolutely delicious. I had gone to the downtown location a few years ago and wasn't thrilled with the broth. Could have been just a fluke but I like the broth at this location more. Service is quick and food was delicious. Check there house because they do close early. read more

Food is good but on the expensive side. Not only that, they nitpick on everything. They only give one tiny container of their hot oil and it's only 1/4 full. When ask for more, they would charge us for it. Two orders come out to be $30+ and they can't give me one extra tiny hot oil???? read more

I was a fan of the original restaurant in flushing main street and it's great to see a small local business open up their second location! The quality of the food is still on par with the original and I haven't had any complaints about the saltiness of the wontons like some of the other reviews have said.
