Normally, I do not write any review or comment on what is happening in my daily life, but, I love to read reviews from other people, I consider the review would help me to find the right services for me. Today, I read a comment from a customer regarding the TIPs, it gave me some thoughts about our TIPs system. For me, I always give a minimum of $15.00 to $20.00 for any massage session. I strongly believe, to hand over a TIPS to the person who has worked hard for 60 to 90 minutes massage treatment on me should deserve my gratuity. the masseur deserves a good TIPS. It is my wat to say thank you to the masseur. The TIP system is a very interesting subject, I do not know, is it a good system or a bad one. I know some countries have a better wage system for the labor workers than us and the workers do not accept TIPs at all. What do you think, how much for TIP is reasonable for any services? By the way, since I am writing a review, I have to say something about the place. I have come here for massage treatment regularly. I could not find another place that could match up with this place in Lake Forest, the store has a beautiful design with excellent services. I like the price, the service performs in a private room, the store is super clean, and offers sauna and showers if you want to pay a little bit more. When the body tells you it is tired or stress, you should come here, the store manager will explain to you what type of massage will be good for you. read more

I stumbled on this place while I was visiting family in SoCal. I was visiting for 5 days and liked my first visit so much that I ended up coming a total of 3 times! The owner Monica was really nice and accommodating. The place is very clean and nice, and the prices are really reasonable. The first time, I went for a full body massage that was really relaxing and the pressure was just right. I have scoliosis and I prefer harder pressure. The woman (I didn't get her name) did a perfect job when I told her that. She asked if I wanted to try the hot stones and I said yes. That part was just okay. I've never tried hot stones before and it wasn't for me. But the rest of the massage was great. My second visit, I went back with friends and I had a 1 hour foot massage. They focused on my feet, which is what I wanted, but they also massaged my neck, shoulders and part of my back too. It was also really relaxing. My friend said she had a really good facial there so my last visit, I had one from Monica. She is really thorough and extracted all my blackheads. I had a hydrating facial and my skin felt really clean and soft afterwards. But the best part was when she massaged my head. I was in heaven. She could tell that I suffered from migraines and massaged out all the knots in my head and neck. I slept like a baby that night. I just made an appointment for my daughter to come in for a facial. I wish I lived here because I would come all the time. I will definitely be back anytime I am visiting. read more

Me and my hubby have been coming here since about 6 months after it opened. They gave us a card to save up 6 stamps and get a free massage. Took the card in today now Covid has allowed opening up. They wouldn't honor my card!!! Said that there has been a change of management. I must have spent $1,000 here in the past and was going to continue to spend there. How shortsighted. They just lost two well paying high tipping customers all for the sake of the price of a one hour massage. Tried talking to them and the owner, but they wouldn't budge. read more

A very 3 star experience. Wasn't bad, wasn't the best. The advertised $40 offer "expired 2 years ago". $48 full body, still a fair price. The massage itself was a little rushed. Max Relax is a great place for good massage. It was my first time and I had a lady named Coco. As soon as I walked in, there was a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Also, they wore masks and it smelled and looked clean. You get your own room, and the rooms are very new and clean . You are provided a gel mask to lay your head on when laying faced down, which is nice. I haven't seen that before. The prices are fair $55 for a 60 minute full body. Staff was nice. Visited for a couples sauna and then hot stone massage, both were great. Facility is brand new and looks really nice. Staff were very friendly. The sauna worked great for us, fully controllable for temperature and lighting and a shower right in the room to rinse off after. Today 5 of my friends and I had massage appointments at Max Relax on Rockfield. They were able to accomadate our 6 person group at the same time on a Sunday with just a 3 day notice. We were all coming for the first time and were a bit apprehensive but eager to try this new ( to us) place. All of us had massages in the past before at several very "high end " spas and were hoping this wouldnt disappoint. We were truly stunned at the professional way the manager and the staff handled everything from booking the appointment to checking us in , getting each of our preferences of what type of massage weenjoyed most. I had never had a hot stone massage before so I chose that .Not only did it not disappoint but it was one of the BEST MASSAGES I have EVER experienced. Perfect pressure and the stones we an amazing addition to deepen the relaxation factor . Lulu was my masseuse and she was very thourough and literally worked the knots and stress out of each muscle! I felt like a revived woman after that massage and the pain I had been dealing with for the past year was gone ! I wil certainlyl be coming back to this therapist and this location! This place is horrible. I went here with my boyfriend tonight for valentine's day and as we walked in the lady at the front was on the phone and shushed us. Cold ass air was blowing on us and I was literally freezing. I asked how this whole thing works and do I have to get naked, she said no just keep underwear on. So she takes us down to a room and disappears. 2 women show up and tell us to get completly naked. I'm like what? No that's not what I was told. Ok so then my boyfriend and I are in the room getting undressed and while we are this lady is looking through the cracks of the window asking if we're ready. I had a horrible feeling about all this and wish I had stuck to my gut. This younger Asian girl came over who was probally 110 lbs and stood next to my 6'3 240 lb boyfriend and this other lady came and stood by me and told us to get on the tables. To me this made no sense. So my head is in the table looking down and I just keep hearing heavy breathing and squeaking. I finally turned my head and this girl is straddling my boyfriends head while he is looking down at the ground and she is rubbing her whole body down his back with her arms . She climbed all over him and even looked at me while doing it and was smelling his back. She was wearing tight Jean's and her stomach was showing .Ya so then they decided to throw a towel over my head and my eyes and my lady stood in front of me so I couldnt see . They never threw a towel over my boyfriends head so I dont know why the manager is saying in her review that its standard for them to do that when using oil. They were talking to each other alot which we couldnt understand and were laughing. No music was playing They massaged very poorly and only massaged one of my boyfriends feet. They got pretty personal while doing the back of the legs and butt. My boyfriend said she was even breathing heavily in his ear. Then they skipped the hot rocks and asked us to flip on our backs. That's when I'm like alright were done here. They acted so stupid like nothing was wrong and as we were leaving asked us for a tip. The girl put on a huge jacket and walked outside on her phone and looked at us in our car. Weird! I felt so dirty in that place and itchy. I suffered a whole hr while some little Asian girl was trying to work up my boyfriend for a good tip. Ew! Not going back there and if you want a couple's massage I'd definitely go somewhere else unless you want to get worked over and treated poorly. So whatever the manager is saying she is lying . All the reviews are majority Asian decent and the only other poor reviews were not asian. I'm only pointing that out because its obvious that they have friends writing fake reviews. Communication is everything, I told the lady at the front desk and another woman also who I thought was my massage therapist that I had a pinched nerve left side. I just needed upper body so they put me in a massage chair, which was built for someone much larger than me I am 5 feet tall and my chin kept running into a bar which made it very uncomfortable when they applied any pressure. They concentrated On my right side primarily, which I stated to two people that the reason I was there was for my left side. Was not private, so apparently I had a woman working on me to begin with so I told her about my left side then someone else came over they switched in between without me knowing, and I finished my 30 minute massage with a man, Who knew nothing about my reason for being there so he ignored my left side and just worked on the right side. When I went to leave they stopped me and asked me if I wanted to leave him a tip, which they offered me to leave a tip at the beginning on my credit card which I had already done. Awkward. read more

I was expecting mediocrity & this place wasn't even mediocre. I was excited this place opened near my house, because the pictures of the inside looked nice & clean. My husband and I have a newborn and finally were able to get out for a date night. We decided to get a massage and unfortunately it was awful. My massage therapist was coughing all over me (not even covering her mouth) mind you... I have a newborn, so I was concerned I would get sick the entire time. Her and my husbands massage therapist were talking throughout. She smelt like smoke SO bad & to top it off the actual massage itself was bad. I received a couples massage as a Groupon gift. I didn't realize it expired on Feb 26, 2020. That is my fault. The whole Covid shutdown made it impossible to use. I finally got around to calling today to see if they were open, they said yes and they extended the expiration date for 3 months. That really doesn't help me since that would just extend the expiration during the Covid shutdown. They should of extended it for three months AFTER they were allowed to open. That's not fair. The good and the bad. I will start with the good. Nicely decorated, new, clean. Now for the bad (really bad). My massage was @ 1:30 and I didn't see the therapist, Monica, until almost 1:45 I didn't mind waiting though. I have massages a couple of times a month because I have back issues so I know a good massage. This is close to one of the worst massages I have ever had. I knew it wasn't going to be great when she was working on my back and used the same move (arms and elbows going up and down my spine) for so long it started to irritate me. I had to ask her to move to another part of my body and suggested she spend more time on my feet possibly instead of my back. She finally moved to another area but it was so hard to get that point across for the communication issue we were having. Also, I am not a prude but for part of the massage I was not covered at all. I mean no towel, sheet or ANYTHING! Super uncomfortable. She did finally put a sheet on my left leg when she was massaging my right but my hoo-ha was in plain view as she massaged my inner thigh. And same goes when she switched legs. I couldn't have been more uncomfortable. As my massaged wrapped up I realized the minute she had spent on my feet was all that my feet would get. The massage was 45 maybe 50 min. long because at 2:30 my massage was over. I went to use the restroom and as I was leaving, while I was still in the hallway she asked me for the tip. I told her I was going to give it to her when I checked out at the front desk and she said no, now! So I tipped her there and then but kinda feel like I shouldn't have. Would have been zero stars but the aesthetics were nice. Just realized that Monica is possibly the owner. After my third visit I can honestly say that this place deserves the 5 star rating I'm about to give them. I've now had a 60 min deep tissue massage, a 30 min chair massage, and today I had a 30 min foot massage, and every time I've come in I have no been disappointed. This is BY FAR, the CLEANEST REFLEXOLOGY place there is in Orange County that I've been to yet, and I've been to numerous of them. The prices are super reasonable and the people are really nice. It's a surprise that this place isn't always packed! For the chair massage and the deep tissue massage, a nice gentleman worked on me and he was not awkward and didn't give me weird vibes. He worked out a lot of my knots and did a great job. Today a woman named Yen worked on me for the foot massage and I always know it's a good foot massage when I get put to sleep! Disappointed. Came here for a couples' one hour massage. The masseuse working on my husband kept answering calls to make appointments. Why would you do that?!! Frustrating. She didn't give extra time which was taken for taking down 3 whole appointments. Unbelievably inconsiderate. She was literally on the phone using one hand and the other "massaging." Max Relax my ass. Aren't these places supposed to promote tranquility and relaxation? I've never felt so stressed getting a massage. And she didn't do a good job. She was told to make the pressure harder but wouldn't do it. I had to massage my husband when we got home because none of his pain was relieved. And my massage wasn't very therapeutic either. It was just a full body rub even after saying I wanted the pressure medium to hard. My clothes were thrown on the floor because my masseuse needed the stool. There wasn't another spot to put my belongings!! And, they had nerve to ask if I tipped. Yeah, I did. 12%. You expecting more for THAT service? You should be so lucky. I couldn't even tell you their names because they didn't introduce themselves - probably because they're unlicensed. They just threw us in a room without a word. The only good thing about it was the "20% discount" & the Costco K cups. Which says a lot. I walked out of there feeling the same with the addition of feeling upset.
