Our food came out quickly, too! *** O U R P I C K S *** NEM NUONG CUON (#2) ~ house special charbroiled pork patty roll. Probably the best thing we had out of the 4 dishes we tried! Perfectly balanced in flavors and textures. You could taste each element, and everything worked so well together--the crunchy veggies, fried wonton wrapper and soft pork patty meat rolled tightly in one. Even loved the dipping sauce! We were tempted to get another order to take for later, but felt like this should really be eaten fresh. This standout dish is a MUST try! 5/5 THIT NUONG CUON (#7) ~ grilled marinated pork roll. All I could taste was the BBQ pork. I think the flavor of the pork took over the roll. It was still good, but #2 was definitely better. 4/5 GOI TOM THIT (#8) ~ Shrimp and pork belly salad. Very flavorful and refreshing! Though I think the salad dressing was a bit spicy. A little goes a long way! Loved the crunchy cracker that came with the salads! 4/5 HEN XUC BANH TRANG (#9) ~ Clam salad. This was a bit too salty for me with the side dressing. I liked the clams, but ended up using the other dressing from the shrimp salad instead. 4/5 We had thought the appetizers would be smaller and that we'd be able to find another spot to complete our meal, but that definitely wasn't the case! Four items could have easily fed 5-6 hungry people! So many fun flavors and textures--it was an exciting party in our mouths! Everything we had was abundant and way more than we expected, so we had to pack up some leftovers. Thankfully, we had a cooler chest in the car! This spot has reasonable prices and generous portions, so come hungry and expect to leave completely satisfied!

It's a pretty popular restaurant so joining the waitlist on Yelp helps to get in the queue. When we got there, we were already on the Yelp waitlist so our wait wasn't really long. For this visit, we had the following: Dishes - Ribeye steak and Vietnamese shaking beef, Crispy Fish Sauce chicken wings both served with red rice. Drinks - Kumquat lemongrass tea and coconut coffee Their food is really good, reasonably priced. Staff were attentive and friendly, definitely provided great service. Atmosphere was lively but not loud. Simply decorated. There's a small space for waiting customers. Definitely highly recommended when you're in this area but be prepared for the wait especially on a high peak day like the weekends. August 2026

I let the waiter know and I figured they would just make a new one, but they came back with the exact steak (I've cut them as I thought it might have been just some pieces that were blue.) but it was the exact steak just thrown on the fire for longer then returned back to me. Weird choice by the chef.

We felt transported back to Vietnam when we sipped the sugarcane and calamansi juice. If they have it (listed seasonal on the menu), try it! We also got nem cuon (not pictured) and the portion was generous and warm. I love their dipping sauce too. The broken rice plates also remind me of the places my mom took me to in Westminster and Garden Grove growing up. The accompaniments(hanh mo), whole Thai chilies, and chicken broth are signs of the authenticity. Meats are marinated and grilled nicely too. Everything is so so good. Support this place and family. They're great and kind!

We ordered the combo pho, and the broth was surprisingly bland & lacking the depth and richness you'd expect. The meat was tough, there was barely any tripe, and no tendon at all, which was disappointing for a "combo." I also requested less noodles, but that adjustment was mistakenly given to my husband's bowl instead. Not a huge issue on its own, but it added to the overall experience. That said, the menu offers a wide variety of broken rice dishes, so it seems like that might be more of their specialty. If I were to return, I'd probably try one of those instead of the pho.

We decided to…read moreeat here because we saw on the reviews that they had ox tail soup and bun rieu ( crab noodle soup). It appears the restaurant mainly serves seafood. As there are a lot of seafood options. However there is hotpot options and other noodle and rice dishes as well. The restaurant has a small outdoor patio. Inside has spacious table seating, some with booth and good lighting inside. There was ballad vietnamese music video playing. The restaurant was not busy and there were elderly men at the tables playing cards and some at another table they were chatting & drinking. Im not sure if they hold karaoke or have live bands but there is a stage with music instruments and a projector with installed party lights. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted right away. It was a bummer when they told us they didn't make ox tail or bum rieu today. Instead we ordered beef tartare, beef pho and shaken beef with rice. The beef tartare was this sliced raw beef with onion, herbs and lime which made the dish rich and savory. The pho was mediocre and same goes for the shaken beef, but both dishes were still tasty enough. During our time there, the server did not check on us or refill our water. If I'm craving for seafood, maybe I'll come back to try their seafood options.

The person i talked to was nice though in his explanations. But i wanted to eat. If you're looking to go there, call first and make sure they are open and that you can dine it.

They're almost always busy, but for the most part, you can expect to wait around 10 minutes for your sandwich, depending on how much you order. We expected more flavor, especially with the extra pate. There was a ton of pate since he requested it, but something was missing. Maybe the scrambled eggs took away some of the other flavors, but overall, it was much blander than a typical banh mi. The bread was crispy as expected, but the overall taste was disappointing. We know how popular this spot is, so maybe we just ordered the wrong thing! 3/5 RAU CAU ~ Multi-layered coconut pandan agar gelatin. I tried this when I got home, and wow, it was a sugar overload!! I'm used to less-sugary gelatins, and this was way sweeter than Jell-O! Sadly, I didn't care for it. I might try dicing it up and mixing it with something else to balance out the sweetness. 3/5 I guess you really need to know what's good here. You just can't pick anything and expect it to be a winner. Hit or miss!
