Food flavors were absolutely delicious; particularly memorable dishes included some sort of fried mushroom appetizer and a chicken curry dish of sorts with roti. Sat at the bar and got warm friendly service from Gigi . I Was torn ordering and almost played it safe with the madman curry and roti but ventured out with the red duck curry and it was amazing.. spicy and flavorful, the pineapple really complimented the flavors. Everything I've had so far is great. Puek Tod, Hed Tod, and Peek GaiTod are all tasty appetizers. They have a good Banana blossom salad (Yum Hua Plee) which I miss from Uncle Boons. The curries, Jor Rang and Kaeng Phed Ped, both were good too. One bit of a sleeper hit imo is the soup Gai Tom Kamin. We have been eating here since MayRee first opened. Every meal we have had has been delicious. The flavors of their dishes are deep and you can taste there is a lot of thought behind each dish. Our favorites are the Jo Rang Curry and the Kao Man Gai. The Kao Man Gai's dish comes with ginger rice, and it's so flavorful. I would come back just for the rice! The dish comes with two sauces that make every bite even more delicious. The cocktails are unique and delicious. We haven't had one bad cocktail or dish! The food is excellent, but everything is even better because everyone who works there is friendly and attentive. Since we have been going there for a bit, the staff takes care of us in every way. It's nice to have a new place where the staff isn't pretentious and appreciates you being there. This is an excellent new Thai spot! It's a beautiful restaurant and everything I've ordered here is worth raving about - so far I've had the Roti Nam Keang (roti with Massaman curry), Pad Mee Kati (vermicelli noodles in coconut milk flavored with a variety of toppings), papaya salad, peanut dumplings, and crab fried rice. They have an extensive cocktail list, and I LOVE their Malai cocktail - it tastes like a coconut milkshake. I'm gonna keep recommending this place to friends and coming back to try more of their menu. If you like Thai food, MayRee will be a place you want to keep coming back to! read more

I'm thankful the Instagram crowd hasn't discovered this gem. I've lived on the block for many years and Mayree is the best in many years, now that Joe Doe moved to a larger space. The place is still quiet and intimate. The food is fantastic and the cocktails, sublime. INCREDIBLE cocktails. The staff is nice and accommodating. This my new go to Thai restaurant. The food was outstanding...I tried the Kaeng Phed Duck. A generous portion of duck in a delightful curry that was just the right amount of spice with a hint of sweetness. The cocktail I tried (recommended by one of the co-owners that served me "Boss") was called Manee and was an innovative drink with cucumber, mint, house infused pandan spirit. It was refreshing and surprisingly strong. The ambiance and decor was also very warm and inviting...felt like I was back in Phuket. Everything about MayRee was amazing. We tried two of their specials, one was a mango salad and the other was a curry. The flavors were spot on and absolutely delicious. I wish we lived closer cause I'd be back at least once a week just for salad! It was a teeny bit too spicy for me, but I feel like they would have accommodated a slightly more mild version if I had asked. They were also able to make me a mocktail that was equally delicious. The cocktails were soo good but we got food poisoning in the end. We got 200$ and more worth of food in total and in the end what me and my friends got are food poisoning. The foods are sooo salty that i think i lost the whole 72% of water in my body, like i was basically eating a solid ocean water in my mouth. If i knew the foods were that salty i would've gotten 2 more cocktails and threw up from getting drunk instead of food poisoning. read more

Decided to go out of convenience just because it was literally right next door to our airbnb, and wow, was that the luckiest thing ever. I eat a lot of Thai food, and this ended up being one of the best meals of my life. To start, we had the Yum Hua Plee and it was ridiculously good. Similar to Laab, but a bit more unique. Delicious. For mains, we had the Gai Tod Had Yai (fried chicken) which was very good and came with some excellent sticky rice and two very good dipping sauces. We also had the Jor Rang, a coconut milk + shrimp curry which... I am still thinking about the flavor that this had. Indescribably good. And then I also had a Thai Iced Tea, which was the best Thai Iced Tea I've ever had. The ambiance was great, it's a cute little spot, would be great for a date night. They played Asian pop music in a cozy brick-walled space with nice lighting. The service was also excellent, very quick with the servers offering us great recs (everything we ordered was at their recommendation, and they didn't steer us wrong). Unfortunately, we were the only people in the place on a Friday night, so I'm hoping that this place can hang on long enough for other people to discover what a hidden gem it is.
